I deliberately chose to not say Happy Memorial Day. I think “happy” is the wrong word for a day dedicated to those who died for our nation. I hope that everybody has a good time with family and friends. As always, thank you to those who served and came home.

That’s the title of a movie about Texas A&M and the officers who graduated from there and went to war. It was released in 1943. There was a time when all incoming Freshmen were required to view the movie. A&M was once an all male military school.
