So the 60 minutes hit piece on deportations featured a man from Ghana who claimed he sought asylum because he was persecuted in Ghana for being gay.
The show then interviewed his wife and two children who “miss him dearly”.

The BC New Democratic Party has the lead in 27 seats and the Green Party in two. Counting is still ongoing and final results may take hours or days.
It’s an embarrassing defeat for David Eby, the leader of the BC NDP who called the election last month after four years as premier, in an attempt to increase a slim majority. He announced his resignation in a concession speech.“

Given that Trump just had another dinner with both Maher and Steven Smith recently, I dint know what he’s going off on, though both have said on their shows that once the bluster is over, Trump is warm and friendly.
I think POTUS is leaning into turning out the base, if enough independents are turned off and stay home, then the GOP base needs to match Dem enthusiasm to hold serve or minimize losses.

More details are coming out about last night’s Brazilian election. The outcome seems riddled with unprecedented events and figures creating a reasonable deduction that it was corrupted. Supposedly, today Lula is calling for a censorship of social media and the confiscation of his opponent’s passport.

I think in these final days, leading up to our midterms, people are becoming crazed in their desire to win, on both sides. All kinds of phone banks are becoming activated by the right across the country. I’ve never received so many texts to send money. And, according to some, the left may resort to violence and rioting to add chaos to the mix before November 3rd.
