“This winter [for Ukraine] will be far worse than the last: all programs to protect critical infrastructure have been halted,” says Ukrainian MP Ruslan Horbenko.

So while Western political elites and their compliant pundits keep talking about “Ukraine’s victory,” Ukrainian lawmakers themselves are describing a very different reality.

Corruption, the irrational allocation of funds, and the failure to pass necessary legislation—which in turn delayed Western financial assistance—have left Ukraine unable to adequately protect its energy infrastructure from Russian strikes this winter.

It can’t. And it is ordinary Ukrainians who will be left to face the darkness and the cold.

Not Zelensky and his clique. Ordinary people.

The same people who are endlessly told to endure, sacrifice, and suffer—while their sons are taken away and sent to what may amount to certain death.

Zelensky’s government is not merely failing its own people. It is treating their suffering with contempt.”

When Janzam admits corruption and control of the media is 100 times worse in Russian than Ukraine we can talk about Ukraine.

Recently there were street demonstration in Ukraine to support the ousted defense minister. Has Janzam seen street demonstrations against Putin in Russia.

Russia is a police state. Ukraine has a free press although since it is at war there are some restrictions on aiding an abetting the enemy just like there were restrictions in the US during WWII.

Janzam should educate herself a little before. regurgitating Russian propaganda.

“Ukraine has a pluralistic and resilient media landscape, though wartime conditions and martial law have introduced significant pressures and reporting restrictions. [1, 2]

    Current Press Freedom Status

    • World Press Freedom Index: Ukraine ranked 55th out of 180 countries in the 2026 Reporters Without Borders (RSF) index, reflecting an improvement in its relative standing and legislative alignment with European standards.
    • Independent Journalism: Independent outlets continue to operate, investigate corruption, and provide vital coverage, supported by structural reforms like the creation of the public broadcaster Suspilne.
    • Wartime Pressures: Under martial law, journalists face operational obstacles, including frontline access restrictions, mandatory pre-publication clearance for interviews with military personnel, and occasional political or online pressure regarding critical reporting.
    • Impact of the Russian Invasion: Russian military targeting, infrastructure destruction, and the complete suppression of independent media in Russian-occupied territories present severe, ongoing threats to reporters and the physical safety of media workers.”

Volodymyr, 32, drowned while fleeing draft officers.

The incident took place in Kudashivka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, where the man ran into a patch of reeds while trying to escape draft officers.

According to a fisherman who witnessed the incident, the officers demanded that Volodymyr come out and threatened him with firearms. He refused to comply. He was later reported missing.

At some point, Volodymyr attempted to swim to the opposite bank, but disappeared beneath the water.

Divers later recovered his body at a depth of approximately five meters, about 20 meters from the shore.

He is survived by his wife and little son.

He brought together support for his country from the US, Europe and other countries so Ukraine could survive, and everyone pitched in because of his leadership and because they believed him when he said Ukraine was not surrendering.

So….the ONE (of several) being proposed in .Y county would SUPPOSEDLY be paying over $60 MM PER YEAR in taxes to my county government and my county school system and another $30 some MM to the State if WV ANNUALLY.

SO INSTEAD of being built here, if that proposed data center is built on some U.S. military base domewhere, no property tax revenue will be going annually to any county or any state government.

I GUESS the federal govt could reap the benefits of $100 MM per year from the one data center…?

HE says what I have been told for years…that when oil companies process a barrel of crude, the first thing they grt ourlt of it cheapest coat to the oil company–kerosene.

Then they further refine what is left and bext get the NEXT least expensive (to them) product–diesel fuel.

[ I have said that here before that deisel PER GALLON used to be LESS expensive than GASOLINE, but cannot figure why it is now reversed.]

Then other things are refined out…and way down the line they refine it into gasoline which is more expensive to the oil company to refine and get.

The congressman said the oil companies are gouging on deisel.

Has to do with U.S. selling deisel to Euope…blah blah blah…and the House (or maybe he said congress) recently passed legislation that would prohibit U.S. refineries from selling any deisel outside the U.S. from Now to Chirstmas. this would result is lots more deisel supply in U.S. which will drastically bring down the price of deisel.
