  5. Tina – All of your positive economic news is encouraging. Voters don’t follow economic stats. They follow their own situation. Please ask Trump to get the message out.

  6. Yep. Voters want lower gas prices, so they will return to the party who went to war against oil, wants $10 a gallon, and wants to eliminate the automobile to save the climate even though we are but 4% of the world’s population.

  13. Dang Walt, we made the drive from GA to NY about a dozen times when the kids were younger (2003-2016 ish). Going up/down I-81 was excruciatingly boring except for the few miles that we spent in MD and WV. One of those states had a Roy Rogers, which were basically gone. So we had to stop there every time because Roy Rogers was one of my favorite burgers joints growing up on NYC. You can add your own toppings and I had to load up on the onions. That was always the highlight of our long drive and I’m fairly certain it was in WV.

  14. DW – You think voters will be rational regarding gas prices and reject Dems. Voters are not always rational. How many races were lost because MAGA sat out elections when Trump was not running for President? The Dem Senators from Georgia certainly appreciated MAGA’s gift.

  15. “DW – You think voters will be rational regarding gas prices and reject Dems.”

No, I wasn’t intending to be sarcastic. That is literally what voters are doing. They are planning to vote Dem to bring gas prices down, despite the fact that Dems have a record of being at war against oil and want to eliminate the internal combustion engine. That is my point. Voters are NOT rational.

Many MAGA voters want Trump to be a dictator and think that he can do it all on his own without congress, so why bother vote. Then they will be angry when the dem controlled congress stops him.

But I hope they DON’T raise it because I think a lot of the inflation we are seeing is, to borrow from Biden, transient.

High energy prices translate into higher prices for transportation and therefore along the entire supply chain, including food.

Once the Iran war is over and the straight of Hormuz is either opened or rendered mostly irrelevant, inflation will come down.
