In other news, how about the Spanish city of Ceuta being overrun by 60,000 North African migrants (in 24 hours). Looting stores and destroying the city. That socialist PM is a piece of work. TWO (or actually 3) NEW characters in the musical about the ancient cliff dwellers. ..
Duke Skywalker while vacationing on a beach in the Gulf of Mexico (aka Gulf of Trump) watches a big ship sink offshore. He is stunned to see a cow (who had been cargo on the doomed shipwreck) splashing and swimming toward shore. Duke helps rescue the cow and calls her Splash Cow. He rides her back to the Grand Canyon.
Duke Skywalker becomes enamored with the chief’s daughter, Princess Sleah.

One of the sub-story lines is that the obstacle to Duke Skywalker wining the hand of Princess Sleah is a rich Indian by the name of Hulett Plackard.
He became wealthy by copywriting the most popular pictrogtaph designs and required other Indians who wanted to use those designs to pay him one dead lizard and 5 bird feathers for each pictrogtaph they put up.
Hulett Plackard then made and sold tasty lizard stew and fried lizard fingers and had many lizard stew/finger franchises up and down the cliffs.
He also made and sold feather stuffed pillows. He also got the defense contract to make arrows for the tribe, and implied first dibs on Chief Charlie Cumquat’s daughter Princess Sleah. He continually gave her the finger and stew of lizard and fluffy pillows. Hulett’s wealth went to his head and he became a snooty, condescending liberal.
Huwett Plackard lived in a big 3 story kiva located in the best part of the cliffs.
Duke’s assets were his wit and pluck and his talking cow. [Duke taught the cow to talk on the long ride from the Gulf of Mexico to the Grand Canyon.]
The Indians had never seen a cow before so THAT was really something. It really did not impress them that the cow talked, as they assumed all cows probably could talk…

Another sub storyline is about Ine Eyed Eddie and wooden legged Patsy Swine.
At the Saturday night dance down at the creek bottom, Patsy was hobbling along as she manned the peyote beer stand. Eddie thought the hitch in her get a long as she walked was sexy and it caught his eye.
He went to the bar and asked for a glass of fruit punch. Patsy said “If you want that, you have to wait line.” He looked around and then realized… there was no punch line.

Then shy One Eyed Eddie got up enough courage to walk across the dance area and ask wooden leg Patsy if she wanted to dance. She was delighted and said,”Oh, wouldn’t i”! Which self conscious Eddie heard as “old wooden eye”…so he got offended and fired back a nasty commen about her wooden leg…so this interaction got off on the wrong foot.
Eventually, they overcame the misunderstanding….and gor kind of sweet on each other.

Eddie invited Patsy Swine up to hs ledge where he built a fire for them to sit beside while the stargazer and talked.
Patsy got to close to the fire and her leg caught fire.
Another time they were laying on the cliff having a picnic and a rattlesnake suddenly appeared. Eddie pulled off her wooden leg and beat the snake to death. But it caused ot to have a big crack in addition to char marks from the fire the week before.
Eddie repaired the wooden leg the best he could with honey and dirt and vine twine. But it looked awful. Then she woke up one morning and discovered termites had begun living in her leg.
Eddie decided he had to make her a new and improved leg and toss the other one…before the termites migrated to his wooden eye.
Party decided to whittle a new and better fake eye for Eddie. She used a white ash and glued a black round stone in a hole she make for the eyeball pupil that matched Eddie’s good eye.

I am sorry this is happening to Janzam, Tina and Chicon.
“In a resort town on the southern coast of the Russian-annexed Crimean peninsula, ice cream vendor Anatoli was at his wits’ end.
His shop would typically sell up to 400 ice creams a day. But a series of Ukrainian strikes on the peninsula this summer has seen the visitors dry up.
“The season is completely ruined, it’s practically non-existent,” he told AFP from Simeiz, a beachside community of around 2,500 people.
Once a magnet for millions of Russian holidaymakers each year, Crimea’s tourism industry has collapsed in recent months, as Ukrainian drone attacks have starved the peninsula of electricity and fuel.
Hotel bookings have fallen more than 70 percent compared to last July, while restaurants and swimming pools lie empty.
The Russian government has pledged to support the sector, offering a one-time payment to tourism workers equivalent to three months’ salary, but the amount is based on the minimum wage and is not a long-term fix.
Anatoli said he was now trying to make ends meet on just a fraction of his former business.
“We’re still carrying on, because everything had been prepared in advance: the equipment, the repairs, the licence, the taxes,” he said.”

Yesterday, it became apparent that the folks here do not want to discuss the arts…and musicals about ancient cliff dwellers.
●●●●●●
So, today’s topic of discussion is social isolation and cultural fragmentation.
Many things have contributed.
One clue I latched onto was the abrupt decline of large front porches on houses. This has led to people living inside to turn away from their neighbors and community to focusing more and more on the inside of their house, becoming more socially isated and self centered and having less concern for others. And what their own pea brained brain happens to come up with as to views and opinions about everything.
People feel less connection to society as a whole. Everything begins to revolve around their self centered selves.
Most activity is connected to inside the house (or at least inside their own high fenced yards hidden from the eyes of their neighbors). Today, people spend way too much time inside their own home. Kids are frightens of the thought of going to take a hike or play in the woods
Heck, it has gotten so bad that people even have others do their grocery shopping and have it delivered so they do not have to leave the “safe” confines of their home. People order food on the phine and have it delivered to their house so they do not run the risk of being around others in public who might have differend and therefore “unpure” views about all subjects different from their own.
And when they do want to leave the secure intellectual fortress of their home where there is no challe ge to what tbey create in their own mind (where they experience zero challenge to their thinking), they order a driverless car to come pick them up and take them here and there so they do bot have to interact with some driver who may have views that would challenge their own.
This isolation leads to more and more people getting no societal check on their (often very weird) views and thinking which lead to more radicalization of the odd views they begin to develop, and further feed, inside their own heads.

BTW, I am wondering about the possibility of making the musical “relevant” to today’s society by including in the play one Indian cross dresser (let’s call him Bruce) who is gay and flys the gay pride flag on his house built into the cliff.
That would appeal to the LBGTQ community today and liberal supporters and hopefully boost ticket sales.

On another subject, you may want to discuss the top 3 reasons why we have devolved from the cooperative society we used to have to having now having such a contentious one fall of strife and chaos.
Could top 3 reasons include:
–big spike in the distain for all authority (of course, now we have to dig into the reasons as to why that has happened…)?
–distrust of everything by everybody?
–no consequences for behavior exhibited by individuals that are contrary to societal norms?
–man made global warming?
–others?
●●●●
HOW have these societal shifts impacted the political scene, who runs, what their platform is, etc.

I think some of what Walt says is true but those are not the only reasons for people staying at home or ordering in.
The fact is that today there are many more entertainment option in the home than previously. Before if you wanted to experience the world, gamble, play games, see movies, etc. you had to go out. Now you can do all that sitting on your couch. Before, if you wanted fancy food (as opposed to what you could cook), you had to go out. Now you can order Indian, Greek, Nepali, you name it even if you live in Bittersville, PA. I don’t think kids are necessarily frightened of hikes or woods, its just that they have other options such as texting all day long.
So its kind of what comes first the chicken or the egg issue. Do people stay home more and thus need more home entertainment/service options, or do the more home entertainment/service options keep them more at home.

I think its the opposite.
We used to be more independent and self reliant.
Now we have the nanny state. People expect government help for every disaster, downturn, or anything that impacts them negatively.
And do we really have more disdain for authority? A little Napoleon wanabee like Fauci got 90% of Americans to wear masks outdoors.
The two main political parties have become much more separated ideologically, that is true. The country is much more fragmented on social issues.
But I think we have a much more “cooperative” society now than in the past.

Democrats are better at convincing people the government has money and can distribute it at will.
The educational system has people convinced that redistribution of wealth is much more important than creation of wealth.
So people are more receptive of the Democrat’s redistribution scheme.
The concept that if you take 1 million houses away from people who have houses and give them to people who don’t have houses you will still have the same number of houses is not understood.

I am pleased to share the WORDS OF THE FIRST SONG I have created for the musical about the ancient cliff dwellers.
It is sung to One Eyed Eddie BY Patsy Swine–the Indian girl with a wooden leg.
●●●●●
“Since I met you my life’s not the same,
When my leg caught fire, you doused the flame.
You pulled my leg off, to death clubbed the snake,
Saved me yet again–for my goodness sake!
Then when termites infested my leg they did gnaw
You sprayed the Roundup killing them all.
You whittled and whittled, to make me a new leg.
Held securely in place by a fine wooden peg.
You built us a cliff dwelling–a cute double decker,
Now I’m safe inside from that pesky wood pecker.”
I have contacted Carol King to do the music score… She was excited to asked to get involved.
■■■■■
Patsy Swine was so grateful to him that she decided to make a new, more realistic wooden eyeball and gift it to One Eyed Eddie. The words to that 2nd song will be sung rousingly to the tune of “I’ve Been Working On The Railroad.”
I’ve been working on your eyeball, all the livelong day
Just whittling my fingers away…”

When did we become the society where if someone espouses a view different from their own, then the reaction is to verbal attack the other person any way they are stupid mfers, or physically assault them, or cut off all contact with them?
I am reminded of the story of a guy driving by a mental institution and having a flat tire. He pulled over, jacked up car…etc. and just as he reached for the lug nuts he accidentally knocked all 5 of them and all into a storm drain.
Some mental institution inmates had silently gathered on the other side of the fence to observe the man changing the tire. One inmate ask “Whatcha gonna do now?’”
Guy says ‘guess I’ll have to walk to that garage a mile back to get lug nuts.’
Inmate says “why don’t you take a lug nut or so off the other 3 tires and drive there.”

Some people should really not be allowed to reproduce.
“A Florida dad who allegedly admitted he thought it’d be fun to use a leaf blower on his infant son has been charged with murder.
James Westervelt, 38, was charged with first-degree murder on Thursday — two years after his six-month-old died in the hospital, WAFF48 reported.
Police said the child was just two months old when Westervelt allegedly blew air recklessly at him with the blower for a laugh.”

The “mass murderer” in ID was certainly a POS failure.
He managed to kill two people and then himself in a restaurant full of people and employees?
Let’s thank God he was an incompetent scumbag.

You know about the West Virginia man who got married and went off on his honeymoon?
Two days later he showed up at his father’s house without his bride.
Asked where she was the guy said “Paw, I done kilt her”
“Why” asked the father.
“Well Paw, she was a virgin”.
The father said “You done right, son. If she ain’t good for her own family, she ain’t good for ours”.

Done deal.
We got what we wanted.
The chance to run a moderate R against a radical commie.
Hope it works out.
If it doesn’t it is a freaking disaster.

Democrat strategist James Carville says he’ll LEAVE the entire party if communists or socialists like Hasan Piker becomes a “force” within the movement “I am NOT going to be in the same party as Hasan Piker! I can tell you that RIGHT NOW. If he becomes a force within the Democratic Party, I’m OUT OF HERE!”
Zzzzzz….. most of the candidates he supports, including Kamala Harris, are not that different from Piker.
