If the rope breaks you die. If the rope stretches too much you die. If you hit any part of the structure you jump off of you die. If they forget to attach the rope you die.
Yes, the plane could crash. Your chute can get tangled or not open (but you have another one). You could land in the wrong place like a tree or a pond. Still, give me a parachute jump anytime over a bungee jump.
The people who threw this woman off the bridge without attaching the rope are morons. But frankly, who bungee jumps without checking if you have a rope attached? The victim was a moron too.
The moral of the story is that 7 year olds should not be driving.
