I think it hinges on VA.
With the GOP now favored to win 24/28 seats in FL and perhaps gaining another 3-5 seats in the South if the Dems don’t keep 10-1 in VA I would say the GOP has a 50% chance of keeping the House.
But there are other factors involved, still a lot of things could happen.

I didn’t see the video. If the guy stole the ball AFTER a little kid got it, he should give it back.
But if he pushes the little brat out of the way while they are both going for it, no problem.

Any time an adult can make a kid’s day by giving him/her the baseball, then that is a good thing. I defer to the child, but only if the ball is clearly no longer in play; if the outfielder can feasibly snatch a HR or ground rule double away from the batter, he has every right to go for it, childhood be damned (and it will teach the child the good lesson of taking risks and really reaching for a goal, at least if they have more than a half-arsed entitled parent who expects things for free).

If my kid came home whining that someone bigger snatched the ball away from him he wouldn’t get any sympathy from me.
Of course, my kids grew up in golden luxury compared to how I did. Still, I did try to instill some self reliance, not easy in an era where they had high expectations in terms of toys, clothes, outings, equipment, etc.
In the end, they turned out ok and are independent and self reliant. I would like to think I had something to do with it but maybe I was just lucky.

“DOJ sources tell me prosecutors are pursuing a ‘forfeiture action’ in relation to James Comey’s alleged felonies because they believe Comey posted the ‘86’ Trump threat to also help drum up sales of a forthcoming book,” Sperry posted on X April 29.
He continued, “Comey posted the image five (5) days before the May 20, 2025, release of his new crime novel. Controversy over the posting thrust Comey back into the headlines and drew potential book buyers to his Instagram and X accounts where he heavily promoted the book.”
Sperry allegedly quoted from the Comey indictment, “Upon conviction, the defendant shall forfeit to the United States any property, real or personal, which constitutes or is derived from proceeds traceable to the said offense.”
I am sure Paul thinks the posting of the shells he “found” and the launching of the book were just a coincidence.

I am disappointed Jonathan Turley agrees with Bitter (yes, A-holes are important people) on the Comey indictment. According to Turley it won’t survive a constitutionality challenge if the case is based merely on the content of the shell message. He thinks that would be protected speech.
I am a big fan of Turley’s and his opinion carries a lot of weight for me.
Two caveats:
According to the prosecution, this case has been a year in the making and was subject to intense investigations. I have to believe more was presented to the grand jury than just the picture of the shells. I think for sure they have some kind of evidence that Comey did the design himself, either witnesses or emails or other evidence or they wouldn’t have brought the case. They must also have some proof Comey knew exactly what it meant.
But that only proves he lied about finding the shells and not knowing what they meant. Lying online and to the press is not a crime.
The book angle seems solid to me. If they can show he did it to galvanize publicity for his book, it will be hard to deny he was influencing public opinion via a message of violence against the President.
It makes me angry this guy might escape any justice. As Turley points out, Comey did immense damage to the country during Trump’s first term.

So Alito then got a big laugh by asking “what about Southern Italians”?

Hey @Grok, has there ever been a mobster or gangster movie made where in any of the scripted dialogue the term “86” meaning “kill” was used?
@grok Replying
No, after checking scripts and references from classic mobster/gangster films (Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, Scarface, etc.), “86” isn’t used in dialogue to mean “kill.” It’s mainly restaurant/bar slang for “remove/out of stock” since the 1930s, sometimes loosely extended to “dispose of.” The mob-kill link is urban legend, not reflected in actual movie scripts— they use “whack,” “hit,” “clip,” etc.

It had the same meaning when Comey posted it. But, I agree that it is a stupid overly cutesy way to say remove/impeach.
