Visit to the museum of the Bible in D.C. and watching of the past Joseph is over. Bus stopped fir dinner in Frederick MD and now heading home to wv.

I would liked to have seen more about controversies over the various translations of the Bible over the years.
Joseph play was too long. It was not sight a d sound quality like you see in Lancaster PA.

I only go to D.C when dragged there or absolutely necessary. Usually go for 4 or 5 Nationals games a year…but stopped going to see Nats at all.
In last 5 years have been to DC to see a play at Kennedy center, see Arlington Nat. Cemetery and changing of the guard, tour capitol and tour white house, Vietnam memorial.

Best Italian I ever had in this country was at Osteria al Doge in NYC (just across from the Millenium Broadway on W44th. Bonus is that it’s just a three minute walk from the Algonquin to grab a drink at the Oak Room

I eat about 4 cheeseburgers a year. I haven’t had a soda in 30 years, a cookie much longer than that. I don’t buy them but I will eat corn chips with salsa or guac if I am at a party or if they pur them on the table in a Mexican restaurant. .
I did eat cereal as a kid, it was a big treat to have Kelloggs corn flakes (the only cereal available) It was produced locally but I remember being intrigued that the box said Kellloggs Co Battle Creek Mi. Seemed like a cool place.

At the Museum of the Bible, I kept looking for all the documented evidence of how every religion in the last 400 years wants to kill everyone who is not of their religion.

Well, there were the Crusades where Christian’s and Muslims killed each other over religion. And the Spanish Inquisition where many Jews were killed or expelled from Spain for not converting. And centuries of Orthodox Christians killing Jews in Russia, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe in pogroms.
But for the last 400 years, Muslims have been leading the religion inspired killing. Except for the Holocaust. But the Nazis were motivated by hating Jews and not strictly religion. Except that blood libel thing. People generally suck

We have these odd cable channels at the higher end of numbers that are exclusively one type of rerun. So there is a Rosanne channel, a Gunsmoke channel, a Northern Exposure channel, etc. My son and I watch the All Mythbusters channel a lot.
I think the Wesley Hunt ad was on the Monsters channel that plays 1950s/1960s Sci-Fi.

So far today, I had to drag out our big a$$Ed step ladder to get way up there to deal with one of the smoke detectors that was beeping. No directions of which way the batteries go in. Of course that caused more beeping and trips up and down the ladder.Then, star a load of laundry, go run errands including trying ro find my cigars at 99 cents each. No luck.
Then go to get haircut, but barber not in today.
More errands. Now getting my happy meal at McD’s.

Because the Ds want to win the election in November and keep Trump from achieving success for the American people. The Ds HATE the idea of “Make America Great Again”.
To the Ds MAGA is the #1 enemy…not radical Muslims, not crime, not unsecured borders, not inflation, not problems in the education system, or judicial system, or transportation system, or economy, or social structure issues.
The number one enemy that knocked them out of control–TWICE–was Trump and his knuckle dragging supporters.
TRUMP and his ilk are the big THREAT to them…and if Trump is successful during his current 4 year stint as president, then it might keep the Ds from gaining power again in 2028.

So apparently STORMAGEDDON is heading east as we speak and will be hitting the Eastern U.S. tonight and tomorrow.
According to media reports, there will be 50-80 mile an hour sinds, hail as big as 2″ across, localized flooding and maybe snow.
Schools here have been cancelled already.

On Thursday my bridge partner and I BID AND MADE a GRAND SLAM–7 SPADES. I was the declarer who played the hand. So you all can say, well at least he bid and made a grand slam before he kicked the bucket.

Damm, MN is less forested than Washington DC, I was barking up the wrong tree. I thought 1000 lakes would have a lot of forest around them.

Florida is more forested than Alaska. So is New Jersey.
Arizona and Indiana are more forested than Wyoming.
Guam is more forested than Oregon or Wisconsin.
