60% of the voters in his primary just voted against him after he spent $70M on the race.

So the better candidate is the one who got even less votes, is very unpopular with Indies, and has a ton of baggage the Dems will love to exploit?
Brilliant theory!

More Republicans in Texas want Cornyn than Paxton in the Senate. It’s not that difficult to grasp.
So send your money to the Dem. Send a message!”
Yep, the deadenders are willing to sacrifice a safe senate seat in red Texas to send a message against “RINO” Cornyn.
However, if polling shows Paxton is the stronger candidate in the GE, I will gladly change my view and support him.
While I prefer Cornyn and would vote for him if I still voted in TX, I just want to keep the seat.
And of course if Trump can convince Paxton to drop out, or even Cornyn to retire, that would be the best outcome. This primary will consume a lot of resources and weaken either Cornyn or Paxton for the GE.
Not sure if Abbott will run again for governor, maybe Trump can promise he will support him for governor.

Probably another lie. Lol.
Anyway, Cornyn now begs for the endorsement of the guy he didn’t support. Delicious.

Tina, it is always a classified secret where i am going to be taking Goofball. He told me on the phone i needed to take him to “the store.” So today when I pick him up we have to go to the bank, then toward Hedgesville to pick up an application to get an apartment (fools errand based on his histroy of not being able to pay his rent), then to Target.
“This shouldn’t take me very long…”
Betting markets are at 110% that McDonalds will also be on the list.
But the driver is only on a minute by minute “need to know” basis.

I look at Cornyn as the type of politician who votes whichever way the wind blows. He has few convictions other than keeping his seat in congress. However, should Paxton drop out I will reluctantly vote for Cornyn. Otherwise, I’m looking at Paxton as a more reliable candidate in supporting policies, such as the 80/20 ones, that the people want.

Maybe, just maybe, Cornyn wouldn’t have had to spend $70M to get 40% of the vote in the Republican primary if he had chosen to actively support the guy who got the Republican nomination three times. Moronic decisions have consequences.

I will save this and repost it if Paxton voters stay home if Cornyn gets the nomination.
I have never voted for a challenger against an incumbent in a primary. I have always voted for the nominee in the GE, even if was the successful challenger.

Paxton apparently offers to drop out if Thune lifts the filibuster and passes the SAVE Act. If true, this is as good a chance as we get to put TX to bed and hold on to the Senate, Thune should take it.
I honestly don’t know why Thune won’t make the geriatrics Dems stand and talk for days on end, they won’t be able to handle it in their collective condition, and they can’t keep Cory Booker on stage more than 24 hrs.

Wow, Chicon is butt hurt about that? Really?
Here is what Vance had to say about Trump:
During the 2016 presidential election, Vance wrote that he goes “back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical a–hole like Nixon who wouldn’t be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he’s America’s Hitler.”
If Chicon was honest, which he isn’t, he is a pathological fraud and liar, he would admit the reason he doesn’t like Cornyn is that he only agrees with his votes 96% of the time, and maybe with Paxton it will be 100%.

Thune would be a idiot to take that offer.
Ending the filibuster (and yes, a talking filibuster would effectively end it for all practical purposes) would come back to haunt Rs and make the US a one party state eventually.
I hope Thune tells both Trump and Paxton to GFTs on this issue.
If not for the filibuster and Sinema and Manchin, Dems would have passed HR1 and guaranteed Rs never won another election.

The Save America Act is the most important bill the U.S. Senate could ever pass, and I’m committed to helping President Trump get it done. I would consider dropping out of this race if Senate Leadership agrees to lift the filibuster and passes the SAVE America Act. John Cornyn is a coward who has refused to support abolishing the filibuster to pass this bill. Now, Fake News reporters and the establishment are trying to destroy me with misinformation. The truth is clear: No one has been more loyal to Donald Trump than me—fighting the stolen 2020 election, being in Mar-a-Lago when he announced his 2024 campaign, and standing with him in NY in the face of lawfare. For the good of our country and for the good of passing President Trump’s agenda, I am determined to help him get this done.

If I lived in TX, for example, I would want my senator to favor free trade, oppose the AFL-CIO protectionist and isolationist agenda, view NATO as in our interest, and view military aid to Ukraine to contain Putin’s ambition of new USSR or “Greater Russia” as in our interest.
I would see those votes as serving my interests.

Uh oh, and A-hole fissure! 🙂
To the extent that a filibuster is Constitutional, the idea is to extend debate until no one wishes to continue, and the matter is dropped. Historically, this meant “talking a bill to death.” The mere threat of a filibuster but making the proponents actually carry it out is antithetical to the design of our government as well as its history. Both sides should be prepared to put up or shut up; this might have the added benefit of driving the octogenarians out of government is they think they’ll have to stand up unassidted and keep their minds on the same topic for hours on end, thus improving the energy level on the chamber.
Bottom Line; I don’t want to get rid of the filibuster, I just want Senators to actually work and debate like they are supposed to.

So Tina, how many illegals will Trump actually deport by the end of his term.
ICE so far has only deported about 600k illegals in 14 months. At this rate they could get to 2 million, but remember the low hanging fruit comes first, gets harder after that.
Even if believe in the 1.9 million “self deported”, many of those are people on expired visas who would have left anyway≥
But let’s be generous and say that we are at 2 million illegals that would not have left if not for enforcement.
That is still only about 10% of the illegal population.
So talking about “deporting all illegals” is hyperbole. Not to mention new illegals are being created everyday on expired visas.
