What is the Monroe doctrine?
Simple. It is a statement that the U.S. will oppose foreign intervention in the Western Hemisphere. It was originally directed at Europe but has expanded. It does not mean that the U.S. can remove any leader of any nation in the Western Hemisphere at will. Noriega and Maduro were not removed based on the Monroe Doctrine.

I have never seen a good case why the U.S. should seize, take over, own, etc. Greenland.
For defense purposes, I see a value.
Why not simply made a deal with Denmark to build whatever kind of military facility there that would be in the best interest of the U.S.? It could be a long term lease for 100 years. Do not see how that would be harmful to Denmark, nor to Greenland.What is the problem doing it that way?

Dear MN, IL, CA, MA and other states who have illegally and unconstitutionally declared themselves to be‘“sanctuary” states to give safe harbor to al immigrants–legal and illegal–please read your U.S. Constitution. It SPECIFICALLY states that ALL laws pertaining to immigration shall rest with the FEDERAL government.
Through a myriad of federal programs, the U.S. legally takes in about 1,000,000 immigrants into the U.S. each YEAR. Through established systems of vetting and control.
You wrongheadly believed that it was the “moral” thing to do to declare yourself “sanctuary cities. What you did was encourage millions more illegals to come illegally to the U.S. and gravitate to your states and cities. This greatly enriched the Mexican cartels who earn thousands of dollars for each illegal who comes through their controlled areas of the border. This greatly increases the danger to illegal who make this trip. Many die during their crossing attempts. This greatly increases the cost of the federal government to properly enforce existing immigration laws.
Once these 20 million recent illegals have flooded to your states and cities, it has greatly increased the state and federal government burden to provide these illegals with housing, food, medical care, education,social services, etc. This means less resources available to your LEGAL citizens within your city/state. You have also seen a big spike in crime in sanctuary cities and states, as many of these illegals who came here were NOT vetted or approved by the federal government to be here. Many do not come from countries that have constitutional law or the same cultural values as exists here in the U.S. Many Illegals have been getting drivers licenses when they are not qualified to drive in the U.S. Other illegal immigrant related are legion.
You “sanctuary cities” have refused to cooperate with federal authorities as it relates to illegals. You have ignored to honor legal federal retainers to hold illegal immigrants who you arrest on some other charge and turn them over to federal authorities to go through the legal process. Even some of your elected/appointed JUDGES have committed crimes and been of illegally aiding and abetting illegals and taking action to allow them to escape ICE detention. Some of these judges have been convinced and removed from their positions. Your elected officials have directed your local police force to not aid and assist ICE agents who are trying to uphold federal law. Your prosecuting attorneys are reducing or dropping charges faced by illegal immigrants, or by people who use unlawful methods to oppose the constitutionally derived removal of illegals. The sanctuary city of Portland continues to permit MONTHS LONG protesters at ICE facilities with almost no actions by local police officers who have orders to not get involved and keep order and enforce noise ordinances and other city ordinances regarding blocking streets, impeding law abiding persons, etc.
By the actions of authorities within those “sanctuary cities” you have encouraged, emboldened, abetted less than legal protests against ICE agents who are rightfully carrying out their duties. You have encouraged more and more illegal actions by people who are opposed to the laws of the U.S. You cities take no action against those who are committing crimes against ICE agents.
You voters in these sanctuary cities and states continue to elect people in those places who enact and uphold illegal policies and actions that are in direct violation of federal law regarding illegal immigration. So you are to blame as well for all this trouble we are having.
There have been over 100 incidents of persons in your jurisdictions using motor vehicles to ram ICE vehicles and hundreds more cases of people illegally using vehicles to impede ICE agents carrying out legal and constitutional orders.
NOW, TODAY, a woman was killed in her truck–apparently using her vehicle in a reckless manner to impede and possibly try to kill or harm ICE agents who were lawfully going about their job. NOW, liberal woke leaders of MN and other places demand JUSTICE! I am sad to say, I do not feel sorry for her. I think she probably got what she deserved.
Justice starts with everyone–including people in sanctuary cities–abiding by the U.S. constitution, legal precedent, existing federal, state and local laws. Let those arrested work their way through the U.S. justice system.

The optics of the ICE shooting will have negative consequences. If the ICE officer had shot out one of her tires, or even just wounded the woman, she would be labeled just another deranged protester. I have seen 3 videos of the shooting incident in Minneapolis.
In one (the one shown by ALL the media outlets) you cannot clearly see the ICE agent standing in front of the car.
In the other two videos, you can CLEARLY see the officer standing in front of the vehicle, AND him being struck as the woman ignores police commands to get out of the car and drives off instead.
I wonder why the FIRST of these thee videos (from different angles) is the ONLY one I see being shown on a dozen news outlets stories?
