  1. reposting jason’s post from prior thread so it didn’t get lost:

Pew Research is showing some incredible partisan swings from 2023 to 2025.

    18-29 Men: R+44

    18-29 Women: R+14

    30-49 Men: R+15 3

    40-49 Women: D+3

    50-64 Men: R+3

    50-64 Women: R+1

    65+ Men: D+6

    65+ Women: D+2

The only bad news here is the drop in seniors, this is a big voting block and reliable voters.

It shows that the Dem/MSM propaganda and scare tactics about Rs taking away SS and Medicare is working, and it needs an aggressive campaign to reverse the negative trend.

    Has Trump ended free trade?

That might be his goal and the end result, but I remain hopeful that the concept of free trade, free markets and free enterprise may be down, but not out.

I think from times immemorial there has been great value in international commerce and that trade has been a great source of building wealth for all participants. Protectionism and isolationism did not make sense when large parts of the world were isolated and communication and transportation were very challenging, it certainly does not make sense in a globalized world with instant communications and a massive transportation grid.

The Russian collusion hoax scandal definitely has legs if these memos from the Clinton campaign and the Soros foundation are real, The memos show that they knew it was false, coordinated with traitors at the fbi, and did it to initially deflect from Hillary’s email problems and then to hamper the Trump administration .

read the memos here – https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/07/the-classified-durham-annex-revealed.php

What pisses me off even more is that Bill Barr had the unredacted memos when he was given the Durham report and chose not to share this with the public. Unless he was concerned they were not authentic, he is as big a piece of sh-t as Hillary and the Democrat operatives in this matter.

I also blame Barr for not slamming down the “51 Intel Officer” BS that the Hunter laptop was “Russian disinformation”.

He should have forced the FBI to say “no, the laptop is real”.

But here is the deal. Trump has a lot more power now and is getting a lot more done than anything he could have done if he had won in 2020. He would have had to govern completely by EO, he would have had a hard time with any appointments, etc. (although he if had won in 2020, Rs might not have lost the 2 GA seats).

Unless someone can prove to me DeSantis would have won in 2024 had Trump won in 2020, I think it was better Trump win in 2024 than 2020.

I think 4 years in the wilderness worked out well for Trump. He certainly used that time to come up with a governance plan and identified the right people for his cabinet, unlike his first term. However, it is offensive that administration personnel ( supposedly well regarded republicans ) were aware of this , knew it was false, and failed to inform the public. Despicable.

  28. We also can’t ignore that there was a serious cost of Biden winning in 2020, with trillions placed on our national credit card for Democrat pork, which definitely added to the nations inflation misery, as well as all those judges that we are now saddled with . The Russian collusion conspiracy was anything but harmless for this country.

The Democrats in the Senate have held up every appointment except Rubio’s since the inauguration. All nominations are objected to, a cloture vote scheduled and passed, then the nomination passed – after many hours for ‘debate’. The Dems are not debating the nominations, of course, they are grandstanding to the cameras so that they will have footage for their inevitable reelection campaigns.

Thune and Barrasso are moving as quickly as anyone ever has to get these nominations done. The only way they could go faster is to hold all-night sessions, to insist that GOP Senators never leave the floor, and/or to call every vote as soon as there are 51 in favor.

    Like

  40. Thune could also cancel all committee meetings until the backlog has been worked off, and make the Senators work through the recess. That might kill a couple of the really old Dems – an added bonus.

Best political news I have heard recently…

Elon Musk donated $15 million to support President Donald Trump and Republican congressional leaders last month, after a public and bitter feud with the man he campaigned and worked for.

Musk, who led cost-cutting efforts at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) during Trump’s first months in office, contributed $5 million each to MAGA Inc., the Senate Leadership Fund and the Congressional Leadership Fund on June 27, Federal Election Commission filings revealed Thursday.

All three are “super” political action committees that help elect Republicans.

In late June, billionaire entrepreneur Jared Isaacman — whom Trump had nominated to lead NASA before withdrawing the pick in May — gave the group $1 million.

Other notable donors this year include former top DOGE volunteer Antonio Gracias, who gave $1 million; venture capitalists Ben Horowitz and Marc Andreessen, who each gave $3 million; Ford Motor Company Executive Chairman Bill Ford, who contributed $1.25 million; cryptocurrency entrepreneurs Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, who each gave about $500,000; and venture capitalist Timothy Draper, who gave $1 million.

So much money flowing from former moderate Democratic donors.

Winning the House and Senate in 2026 and President in 2028 with JD Vance would crush the Woke Commie Dems nationally.

While California, New York and Illinois continue their collapses.
