Cloud seeding has been done since the 1940’s. Very helpful to farmers and keeping reservoirs full. Not sure why you would want to ban it, it doesn’t cause floods.

The June CPI print doesn’t make a strong argument for either lowering or maintaining rates. YoY came in at 2.7, up from 2.4, which was expected based on last year’s low number. However, MoM came in at +.3, which exceeded last month’s .21 by more than expected. Core CPI MoM rose as well, just not as much as expected. With these numbers, despite protests from the administration, I just don’t see a rush to lower with the risk of price acceleration still at hand. However, with this Fed, anything is possible, particularly after they lowered rates right before the election last year without any reasonable data to support it.

The 2 year had a lower spread to current rates last summer than currently…
and that Fed cut caused rates to go up!

Met John MacArthur in San Diego in 1976 (Code 76) with the Billy Graham Crusade. Didn’t really like his writings on the charismatic movement. MacArthur spoke at many Calvary Chapel churches in South California but often belittled the Chuck Smith’s CC movement. That said, perhaps the leading biblical scholar of his day.

One of my favorite posters was Tim V. He was a deeply religious man with a good sense of humor. Even when he told me I was going to Hell because I am Catholic, he meant it in a caring way. He died much too soon from a brain tumor.
