These “files” have been around for years. If there were any real bombshells in them they would have been leaked long ago. As Buck Sexton says, the government is a terrible keeper of secrets.
There is no “secret ledger”. Epstein was a sick pervert and pedophile who is now dead.

The answer is BAD.
The purpose of international commerce is not to “collect tariff revenue”. Tariffs inhibit and reduce international commerce (the protectionists know this, that is why they want them) which is BAD.
Reductions in components of international trade such as energy, transportation and taxes should be reason to INCREASE the flow of goods, not reduce them.

Montas pitched well today. If Manea can come back as the player he was last year, with Holmes and Peterson pitching well and Senga and his 1.39 ERA back in the mix. I think they can do things.
Need to figure out centerfield and catcher. Alvarez is doing even worse at AAA than here, tries to hit every ball 500 ft down the left field line at a 60* launch angle and his defense now stinks. Taylor can run down anything in Center, but is barely hitting .200

That’s a lot of concerts Bitter. infinitely more than I have ever been too. I have been to a ton of sporting events globally, so that’s my claim to fame. World Cups, Qualifiers, national team games, Champions league, Super Bowl (Left at halftime in both) obviously baseball games…too many to name, NHL, IIHF World Championships, NBA (used to have floor seats to the Spurs for 5 years and been to NBA games in Barca and Paris, etc etc etc.
None better than watching my son at the Youth World Cup of Soccer in Barcelona in April. They beat Australia, Turkey, Japan, UAE and Canada, and only lost to France (who had a kid 6′ tall. I am not joking. WTF!!! at U10) and Argentina (who had a player sent off for taking off his shirt after a goal…..this is what we are teaching our kids btw.)

DW – Mets are .5 games up because the Phillies stopped hitting. Their starting rotation is great but they lost 2 games 1-0 in Houston. They don’t play well on the West Coast where they are spending the final week before the All Star break. I still say the NL East may not be decided until the final day of the season.

Bitter – I think I agree with you. It’s definitely going to go down to the last week of the season…where the Mets generally blow the division. I think both make the playoffs. I think both can beat the Dodgers. I think whomever wins the NL will crush the American league in the WS

btw, how does a kid with 5 major league starts get into the All Star game over Senga, with a 1.39 ERA through 14 games, one of the lowest through that many games in the last 50 years. Even the loser Philly pitchers Swarez and Chumpez deserve to be there over someone with five starts…who btw got roasted by the Mets.

The first time I heard Debbie Gibson on the radio I thought she was black because her energy was so high and dancy. I also thought Rick Astley was black with his deep soulful voice.
Gibson’s mom lived in Midland Park, NJ -right next to where I grew up in Ridgewood.

Backing that up, other than the amazing deGrom, who had a 0.69 ERA through 14 starts in 2021, Senga finished the first half of the season with a 1.39 ERA, the lowest mark for any pitcher with at least 15 starts since Bob Gibson (1.06), Luis Tiant (1.24) and Don Drysdale (1.37) all entered the All-Star break in 1968, per ESPN Stats & Info.
So the second best ERA to another Met in 57 years, and no all star bid. ummmmmm WTF

Vic – The only sporting event I attended where I did not support one of the teams was a Cleveland baseball game before they changed the name because we were in Cleveland for vacation. Really.
We have toured Wrigley and Fenway stadiums in the off-season on vacations.

My favorite Mets-Phillies memory was when the Mets blew a 7.5 game lead with 17 games to go including the Phillies winning 4 games at Shea. I’m sure yours is the Mets beating the Phillies in the NLDS last year.

I will never forget 2007 (and 2008) when we blew leads in each year. I remember watching a game against Washington, and Delgado hit one to right field which everyone thought was gone, which would have clinched a tie of the division with seven games left, and then the ball died and was caught at the wall. I knew it was over at that moment…we were cursed.
That entire team, which could have won two or three WS, died with three Wainright curve balls that froze Beltran. Most people forget that right before that, Reyes hit one to the wall that was caught. Would have been a grand slam and the World Series.

The Phillies should have won at least 2 WS titles between 2008 and 2011. Won it in 2008. Went back in 2009 and lost to the Yankees. In 2011, they won 102 games. The 102nd win was meaningless but eliminated the Braves and let the Cardinals in the playoffs. They lost the NLDS to the Cardinals. Cardinals won series 3-2. Ray Halladay (HOF) gave up 1 run. Ryan Howard tore Achilles tendon hitting a ball. Phillies lost 1-0.
