A good analysis of why Dem appointed judges are deciding most of the cases brought against Trump’s policies.

In a nutshell, elections have consequences. There are more of them.

Trump’s powers are greater than you think…

Joy Behar finds it suspicious that Trump shares a birthday with the U.S. Army: “Tanks will be rolling through the nation’s capital along with7,000 marching soldiers to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States Army…and it happens to be his 79th birthday, what a coincidence!”

Miller continued, “East Germany was very, very able to reduce the flow. Now, obviously, other things were involved. We have the capacity to, as a great nation, secure the border. If East Germany could, we could.”

  13. Was the female Minnesota politician that shot the one that crossed the aisle to vote with republicans to end Obamacare for illegal aliens?

”In the end, all House Republicans voted for the bill, with Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman, DFL-Brooklyn Park, casting the 68th vote. Although she said as recently as last Friday that she did not agree with the measure, she can say she was true to her word and stuck to the deal made with  Speaker Lisa Demuth, R-Cold Spring. Her vote also gave all present DFL House members cover to vote against a bill that was anathema to the party’s base but ultimately necessary to secure movement in other budget areas. ”

Vance Boelter, the suspect in today’s shootings, was the CEO of an international NGO called the Red Lion Group. But I couldn’t find any photographs or digital records of its work, only a generic website.

The Red Lion Group appears to have run out of funding a month or two ago, as that is when he started looking for executive-level roles.

Thanks to the rhetoric coming from politicians and media outlets who spread false narratives about opposition parties creating hate and instigating violence most of us don’t want.  Unstable people are affected by this resulting in unnecessary violence.

All the chaos and political violence is engineered by one party whose history when they lose power and control reverts to verbal and physical intimidation increasing out of control to satisfy the hate they have in their loses. The greater their loss the more increase of harm others must pay.

I have not watched any of the protest or the parade. It is depressing that some people I have known for years have so much TDS. A friend from high school was always liberal but she actually helped people with her own time and money. She is a lawyer but helped to start a school for girls in Africa. She goes there several times a year. I think she snapped when the food and water programs to her school were stopped. There is no NGO involved. The Board is her and some other Americans spending their own time and private fundraising. I should donate to the school but now her politics has turned me away.

  74. Since we are celebrating the anniversary of the U.S. Army…it’s birthplace is about 10 miles from where I live here in what is now West Virginia…

Morgan’s Grove, near Shepherdstown in Jefferson county WV. My Duke (paternal) ancestors were from The Shepherdstown area in Jefferson county. Some of my material ancestors included the Harpers at Harpers Ferry WV. Not sure if any of my ancestors were on the roster of the 98 riflemen chosen to go on the Bee Line March from Shepherdstown to Cambridge MA.

    ***************

    “Birthplace of the U.S. Army

On July 16, 1775, they kept coming—men of Virginia, Scots, Irish, and Germans, gathering in a grove outside Shepherdstown. More than two hundred stood ready to fight for liberty, but only ninety-eight could join Captain Hugh Stephenson’s company. To choose, Stephenson devised a contest: the men took turns firing at a likeness of King George, and those with the best aim formed the Berkeley Riflemen.

These were among the first soldiers of the Continental Army, called by Congress to march north. The next day, they set out on the legendary “Beeline March to Cambridge,” racing Daniel Morgan’s Winchester riflemen to join General George Washington’s forces. Twenty-six days later, they arrived in Massachusetts, two days behind Morgan’s men. When they reached Washington, he dismounted to shake each man’s hand, recognizing old comrades from his days in Winchester and along the Cacapon River.

These riflemen fought through the Revolution. Stephenson fell to fever in 1776, buried at Bullskin Presbyterian Churchyard. Daniel Morgan was captured in Quebec, but later redeemed himself at the Battle of Cowpens, securing his place in history. He died in his daughter’s home on Amherst Street and he rests in Winchester’s Mount Hebron Cemetery.

It was here, in this small field—now Morgan Grove Park—that the U.S. Army was born, a legacy officially recognized by the Secretary of the Army in 1989.”
