  2. Big Joe – was I impertinent in my questioning of your use of the word “incompetent”? Sorry about that.
We definitely disagree on that characterization of this administration’s work so far.

Big Joe was referring to the roll out of the tariffs which he deemed incompetent.

I happen to agree with him.

Saying that does not mean I think the administration is incompetent in general

We won’t have to impeach this judge, lucky bastard.

@Brooketaylortv at the hearing, a federal immigration judge has ruled that Columbia pro Palestine activist Khalil Mahmoud is REMOVABLE and that the Trump administration has met its burden to deport him. Khalil has until 4/23 to file relief application”

Use whatever SAT word you want to describe yourself.

You know full well that I was talking about the Liberation Day/Week fiasco, not “this administration’s work so far.” Well maybe you don’t know and you just can’t help yourself. That’s telling, mighty defensive aren’t we? Or maybe you’re just an idiot? Maybe both.

That combined with your declaration of who I voted for and the caricatured positions I support, well that’s also telling.

Even though Jason won’t admit me to the exclusive A-holes club, I think i’ll just go ahead and tell you to GFY.

    Cheers to you and yours,

  10. Immigration judges, I believe, are not Article III judges. They are Article II judges who work for the Executive Branch. Not confirmed by the Senate, not subject to impeachment. I believe the AG can fire them, ignore their rulings, etc…

Not certain of all this, but pretty sure….

  11. That bridge is just five or six minutes off I-90 east of Cleveland. I actually have not crossed it in a vehicle nor walked it, but it’s well known in Ashtabula, a town where one of my Navy friends lives (and a route I frequently took from Chicago to Rochester, because I have been reliably informed the Ohio is little more than a way to get to New York).

Smolen Gulf bridge for those who haven’t been. I didn’t remember the name of it, just the visual.

  12. Chicon, you would be correct;

Those judges work at the pleasure of the Attorney General, and ultimately, POTUS. No House Impeachment and Senate trial required.

It most certainly DOES. You must be on board 100% or you are a gun grabbing, baby killing, gender changing, communist, libtard. Come on, Jason you should know this.

Which reminds me, I need to recharge the batteries to my baby killing / gender changing machines tonight.

  16. Correct, they are under the executive branch. Immigration Court is formally known as the Executive Office of Immigration Review. This is a department within the Department of Justice.

Immigration Judges are appointment by the Attorney General and are not federal judicial branch judges.

That is why they can “fly in” a judge to El Salvadoran and deal with the “father of the year. “

    Like

  17. Or, they can simply send the father of the year to another county. Those were the 2019 ruling.

Or,fly in the judge and remove the restriction.

-“Good” would be fine. I find doing the small things seem to grow on people, and makes me feel pretty good as well, and they end up valuing you more than you even know. Mom taught me that, and I strive to do what she showed me was right.

I’m sure after reading your comments the last thread or so she would have a nice chuckle and simply say “God Love him!”.

Cheers to you, and may you have a blessed day.

  22. PUSHING and PULLING

You face a lifetime of PULLING and PUSHING–you DO !

From the time your mom PUSHED you out from her womb,

And with the doctor assisting by PULLING on you too.

PULL yourself up on playpen rails–PUSH a walker ‘round a room.

There’s lots of PUSHING and PULLING connected just to you.

You PULL on your parents when there’s something you need.

Your parents PULL long night hours as they feed you at two [a.m.]

They PUSH you in the stroller, then PULL you hand as they lead.

You’ll PULL wheeled toys on a string; PUSH other small toys around,

You learn to PULL your own pants on, and to PULL a joke or two.

Maybe have a friend PULL your finger, PULL someone’ hair–cause a frown.

PUSH your limits as parents PULL out their hair ‘cause of things you do.

Parents PUSH food on you so you’ll grow healthy and strong,

And PUSH you to reach potential–to help you learn and grow.

PUSH good values on you so you won’t stray and go wrong.

Parents will PULL you out of a jam or out of a big drift of snow.

You learn to PUSH a pencil; write your ABCs and spell your name.

Later PUSH buttons on your laptop, cell phone and TV remote.

You might even point at others and PUSH them to take false blame

PULL for candidates you support and PULL levers when you vote.

You soon learn to PUSH yourself to be better in your work at school,

PULL for your favorite teams; feel the PULL of peer pressure, too.

PUSH yourself in your groups and teams now becomes the rule,

You PULLED off many accomplishments–really quite a few!

You may PULL one or more all-nighters as you navigate the education tiers.

You may experience the sadness of some friend PUSHING you away.

You find yourself being PULLED into others’ arguments throughout the years.

And you PULL yourself back together when adversity has come your way.

In married life you both PULL together to work toward your dreams.

and PUSH yourself to both emotionally and physically provide

For the needs of others who depend on you. And so it seems,

You PULL yourself up by your bootstraps–and it gives you a lot of pride.

You are PUSHED as you age to do things that used to be easy to do

Just PULLing up your socks or PUSHING snow now becomes hard–CRAZY!

But you PULL for your kids and grandkids and PUSH them to do well too,

In the end they’ll PULL the plug and you will be PUSHING up daisies.

  23. OK NYCMike. I have no doubt your Mom is a wonderful lady. I also think she would love me.

Doing good things is great for the soul. I’ll be volunteering with my son this weekend to help out an animal rescue charity. He has to get some mandatory hours for a college project, I’m hoping he sees some deeper meaning. In any event, I hope that being by his side the whole time shows that this isn’t just some work to get through, its actually work that is meaningful and helpful. We shall see.

And just for kicks, after your antics the past couple of threads, the old southern ladies would most definitely be saying “Oh Bless His Heart!”
