Fair question, and my answer would be probably not.

I support DOGE. I think it is Musk’s idea that Trump signed on to.

I am not sure Musk would have had the same involvement in a DeSantis campaign, so we might not have had DOGE to the same degree. Maybe he would have proposed it to DeSantis too, but I think DeSantis would have been less aggressive.

    So point to Trump.

On the other hand, we wouldn’t have stupid tariffs and trade wars and pro-Putin policies either. We wouldn’t have a flaming liberal big government HHS secretary. I think we would have had a less isolationist VP.

However, because of this anti-Trump reporter mistakingly being involved in a signal chat (which he easily could have excused himself from), they now enthusiastically can wave this as reasons to call for resignations. Having a biased district judge, already involved in controversial rulings against this administration, “randomly” picked to rule on a lawsuit involving this mistake is telling in how distorted this whole issue will become. Truth will not be a guiding light, but instead degrading and putting the current administration on defense and in a political bind will be their purpose. Those who readily call themselves anti-Trumpers will be pleased.

His reviews of my cooking would hopefully be honest and straight forward, with no inauthentic flattery. Any criticism would be taken under consideration. BillW, your views of Trump’s behavior during the 1st year of COVID don’t match my own. Trump was the one who enacted an immediate China travel ban in the midst of racism howls from Dems and elite politicians. His national security advisor, Peter Navarro, brought millions of doses of HCQ to initially treat COVID until pharma banned this early treatment Rx. People demanded vaccines hurried up to quell the fear magnified by the media, CDC, NIH etc, so he formed pathways to meet the demand. He also tried to work with various governor’s requests for PPP, ventilators, more beds etc. Trump also injected optimism that he wanted the shutdowns to end…and at the end of his term the economy was beginning to turn around. No one is slighting you for your views, even if they are wrong and/or misguided.
