Ok, Jan. To be clear, are you agreeing with this by posting it? If only he had the military experience, knowledge, and wisdom of a local Philly lawyer, then it would be ok for Saks to make any comment he’d like on the Ukraine situation. I don’t agree with his line about “never should have gotten involved”, but having read his other comments, I think that was just a mis worded comment. He’s previously said the Russian invasion would never of have happened under a different US administration.
Somebody is spending a lot of money to skewer Shapiro.
I don’t know about Bitter’s area, but south-central PA is full of anti-Shapiro billboards.
There are about 6 different ones, all saying things like “Shapiro promised xxxxxx, didn’t deliver”….. “do nothing Governor”…..”promised energy jobs, all going out of state”, etc. They all have an unflattering picture of Shapiro, and are obviously very professionally done ads.
Not sure if it done to “soften” his support for his run for another term or a run for President.
But I think Shapiro is vulnerable to the “do nothing” attack. The Senate is R and he is having trouble getting anything significant passed, he reneged on school vouchers after running in favor of them.
He just released a really weird video, seemingly to ingratiate himself with the base of the party who is suspicious of him.

The Ukrainians have fought bravely. Trump has always been a moron regarding Ukraine and will continue to sell out to benefit Putin as much as possible. Both can be true.
Here’s something I learned this AM during halftime in the Chelsea game that i found interesting. Russia hosts the second largest number of Ukrainian refugees ,closely behind Germany. The Russians provide them with food, aide and other assistance. Are these “refugees” merely former Russian nationals that were relocated to the Ukraine during the old Soviet Union days that are now returning to mother Russia or actual Ukrainian nationals? They must be former Soviet nationals otherwise it’s a head scratcher. I don’t remember such large numbers of the south Vietnamese seeking refuge in the invading north, nor did the Northerners seek refuge in the invading south during our civil war. Interesting statistic in any event
Bitterlaw and Jason’s stance on Ukraine meets the classic definition of insanity. Keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result LOL If this dual had their way a draft would be implemented and we would send a hundred thousand troops over there including their sons and daughters. We know how well that worked out for Napolean, Hitler and others.
I don’t know about that, anonymous. Trump even said that Putin and Russia always had their eye on Ukraine but he prevented them from invading. I think Trump’s position has always been the Biden administration weakness, demonstrated by their Afghan debacle, spurred the Russians on.
The U.S. sent troops to stop Napoleon? The things you learn at HHR. It did send troops to stop Hitler (Russia did most of the fighting) and it worked out very well.
I thought that also, bitter but it’s not the case. The refugees cited by the European refugee committee are not in prison camps or holding facilities. They claim they are living freely within major Russian cities receiving aide and other subsidies. That’s why I think they must be formerly repatriated Russian nationals not true refugees.
Putina thinks that appeasing Putin makes her a foreign policy expert. Of course, she thinks being a Federal employee not involved in law enforcement was a real job.

Bitter, the problem with your thinking is all you want to hear and believe is what is running around in your own head. That’s the problem with addictive thinking as well, as addicts can’t escape their own compulsive thought train and thus keep on doing what they are doing. Those Ukrainian links posted here often deal with either updated information or alternative opinions which, IMO, can serve to either soften or validate the stances held by people.
I have friends, for instance, who copy and paste fictitious allegations, many already debunked, on Facebook. But, they, like you, become incensed if someone points out a link disproving their fallacious content, refusing to even engage in a civil discussion about their differences. It reminds me of how you and Jason often interact with anything to do with Ukraine. Have you ever considered you may be wrong about Zelenskyy’s leadership or where all our aid is really going?
Bitter, how long ago was one comment posted, labeled as a rumor, about one yacht? I guess you have little to really grouse about if you keep bringing that up years later.
Bitter lawyer says – Jan, Tina, OA, Chi, NYC, and you are essentially the same…
Anyone who has a thought different from the bitter lawyer gets placed on the bitter unamerican list, LOL! Ok counselor, prove out your latest outlandish statement. How is that among “America the problem and not Russia” like you’ve said above? Name one thing I said that remotely supports that “America is the problem and not Russia”. Leave it to a local Philly lawyer to make such outlandish claims and generalizations
I read extensively about Ukraine. Most of your posts are pro-Putin trash
Your Ukrainian posts indicate you don’t read anything current about the Ukrainian War, and aren’t interested in updating your knowledge about current sentiment, military losses, and importantly the diminishment of civilian rights under an increasingly losing regime. All you dwell on is Putin and winning, no matter the loss of lives.
You posted it was 2 yachts. Then you admitted you were wrong. That admission is why I take nothing you say at face value. I question everything you post.
And your false claim of concern about lost lives is nonsense because you never admit that every lost life – Ukrainian and Russian – 100% the fault of Putin. You have never criticized Putin’s record on rights and his dictatorship over Russia.
Fla2025, I posted a comment written on another blog positing the U.S. was problematic in initiating aggression in other countries. Although those weren’t my words, it often is the case that America’s hands have not always been clean in promoting overseas color revolutions, in order to initiate regime change. That certainly was examplified in the circumstances surrounding the 2014 Ukrainian election, with Victoria Nuland’s guidance. And, now by looking into the USAID expenditures we are seeing how our monies are frequently spent In more malevolent ways than ones having charitable intent.
Anyway, posting such pieces for discussion instantly sets Bitter off in the direction of initiating a hostile reaction towards that person.
Bitter, being as judgmental as you appear to be it’s easy to be in your bad graces. You are slow to forgive, don’t believe in redemption, and because you’ve experienced one family loss don’t believe in miracles protecting another life from being lost. IMO, that’s a cynical and hard way to live one’s life.
I don’t believe in miracles. You do. Tell me why Trump’s life was worth saving and my niece’s was not. She was a social worker helping patients in a hospital for mentally ill people. God value’s tariffs and Putin’s victory, and DOGE more than that? Since you have a direct line to God, please explain that.
