  8. Bitter, a good friend had a very similar injury falling on ice. Surgery went well; she got around pretty well within a few days on a knee-cart thing, and the pain decreased significantly pretty quick. She has no limp or limitations, aside from occasional minor arthritis pain.

The doctor emphasized that much of the outcome depends on how well you attack the rehab.

    Best of luck.

  14. Sometimes spiral fractures can be set without surgery. It takes longer to heal but i have a friend that had a tibia spiral and did not do surgery. But cast for 6 weeks, maybe surgery is faster.

In any case, sorry about that, let me know if I can bring. a scrapple casserole or something to make you feel better.

  15. I agree that is a fair review for McConnell.

Contrary to what the RINO hunters think, McConnell is no RINO or liberal, he is a fierce defender of the institution of the Senate from a historical perspective that is probably obsolete now. He viewed Trump as a disruptor, which of course he is. McConnell fought fiercely to confirm EVERY conservative judge put forth, and if not for him we might have a 5-4 liberal SC instead of 6-3 conservative (if he had allowed Garland to be confirmed and not pushed ACB through in the waning hours of Trump’s first term). That is his greatest legacy.

Btw, I posted some bait yesterday

“We need more Mitch McConnell’s and fewer Rand Pauls”

Nobody took the bait, Ma. GFYs.

  26. Bitter did you get a second opinion on surgery. Spiral fractures sometimes don’t need surgery if there are no splinters. I say this because my friend was told she needed surgery in the emergency room but later she consulted with an orthopedic surgeon and he said he would try to get it to heal naturally and it worked.

“Non-surgical treatments are often the first line of defense for less severe spiral fractures. These methods aim to immobilize the bone and allow it to heal naturally. Casting: For many spiral fractures, doctors will apply a cast to immobilize the bone. The cast keeps the bone in place and prevents further injury.”

  45. Looks like Zelenskyy didn’t help himself with Trump during the campaign. Then, after Trump wins, he pulls this stuff. How anyone could think this is a smart way to play his hand is puzzling.

    From the link….

“Mere weeks before Election Day, the Biden-Harris administration flew Zelenskyy to the United States at taxpayer expense, strategically landing him in the critical swing state of Pennsylvania. There, he toured a munitions plant, sending a clear message: billions in aid to Ukraine means jobs for Pennsylvanians.

Some saw it as blatant election interference, as Zelenskyy was effectively campaigning with the incumbent administration. In an interview with The New Yorker, Zelenskyy attacked Trump as clueless on Ukraine and went even further, calling JD Vance “dangerous” and “too radical.” ”

He seems to not understand that he’s not automatically entitled to US help.

  56. Dear Abby,

I’ve never written to you before, but I really need your advice. I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs. Phone rings but if I answer, the caller hangs up. My wife has been going out with “the girls” a lot recently although when I ask their names she always says, “Just some friends from work, you don’t know them.”

I always try to stay awake to look out for her coming home, but I usually fall asleep. Anyway, I have never approached the subject with my wife. I think deep down I just didn’t want to know the truth, but last night she went out again and I decided to really check on her. Around midnight, I decided to hide in the garage behind my golf clubs so I could get a good view of the whole street when she arrived home from a night out with “the girls.”

It was at that moment, crouching behind my clubs, that I noticed that the graphite shaft on my driver appeared to have a hairline crack right by the clubhead.

Is this something I can fix myself or should I take it back to the pro shop where I bought it?

    Signed,

    Perplexed
