And no empathy or sympathy for the family, Sane? Should they kill themselves too to atone for their daughter’s failings?”
Zzzzz….
Their daughter was in the military. The military is a volunteer force. Being in the military carries a lot of risks.
I have empathy for all the victims and their families, no matter who is responsible for the accident.
I have zero empathy for the family of the pilot in trying to keep her name secret and whomever in the military agreed to this should be reprimanded and demoted.
The family should not have the right to keep her name private. She was 100 feet above the 200 foot flight ceiling and also was not following the prescribed flight path. She has forfeited the right of privacy, alive or dead”
Actually, she forfeited the “right to privacy” when she joined the military.
I was reading comments on articles about that the plane crash in Philadelphia. Several comments about the Mexican girl said they were sorry American tax dollars were wasted on her care. That is beyond cold and completely inaccurate. All of her transportation and care at Shriners’ hospital was paid for by charities.
If the airline pilots had been at fault they would be named. I am not hating on the family of the copter pilot, nor should anyone else. That is absurd.
All local channels were focused on the plane crash so last night I watched shows about veterinarians. One of the sick animals was an alpaca. A truly beautiful animal. Far more attractive than llamas. The alpaca had an inner ear infection but fortunately recovered.
“Bob and Lori Schrock died in the horrific collision as they were traveling to visit their daughter in college at Villanova University in Philadelphia.
The married farmers had planned on flying into Reagan Airport before taking the train to meet up with their daughter Ellie, according to KSN.
Ellie is a junior at Villanova. The couple lived in the small town of Kiowa – located in southern Kansas near the Oklahoma border.
Loved ones remembered them for their generosity and faith in Christ.”
Very sad. That girl’s life is destroyed. The article was only off by 7 miles in placing Villanova University in Philadelphia rather than Radnor Township.

Bitter is full of crap trying to defend the indefensible by attacking those that rightfully demand the name of the pilot be released.
Not releasing the name gives rise to conspiracy theories, yesterday a transgender pilot was named on some site and had to debunk the story. Where is the respect for HER privacy considering it was not her.
I have some additional observations on the mid-air collision in DC.
Standard aviation procedure is that the non-flying pilot communicates with ATC on the radio. The male pilot who was administering the check ride is the voice heard on the DC tower tapes, which implies that the female being evaluated was flying the helicopter. The collision occurred at an altitude of 400 feet. The maximum altitude for a helicopter along that flight path (Route 4) is 200 feet.
The female pilot was flying 200 feet higher than the maximum allowable altitude, an automatic failure of the check ride! Given the fact that the check pilot was the aircraft commander, he should not have permitted the female being evaluated to exceed the maximum altitude. Had the mid-air collision not occurred and the entire flight been evaluated upon landing at Ft Belvoir, both the male and female pilots would have been grounded and further training for both been ordered. The caveat here is that it is currently unknown as to exactly why the helicopter was 200 feet higher than authorized. If the cockpit voice recorder was operable and recovered, then we will know more about what was going on in the cockpit.
Also, the ATC controller in the tower used non standard terminology in alerting the helicopter of the conflicting traffic. The terminology used should have been…. “PAT 25, do you have traffic at your 10 o’clock high?”. Instead, he said (paraphrasing) ‘PAT 25, do you see the American CRJ’. PAT 25 responded, “Rodger, request visual separation”. The controller responded simply…”Separation”.
The current prevailing speculation is that what PAT 25 actually saw was the traffic on departure from Runway 01 and not the American CRJ landing on Runway 33. That traffic wound have been at roughly the 2 o’clock high and climbing.
On another subject, it is highly unusual for all of the helicopter crew members not to have been named. We will find out what her name is eventually.
The main theory by commenters at other sites about why the pilot’s name is being withheld is to scrub social media and other info that would be damaging to the DEI narrative. However, I think it is almost indisputable that DEI lead to the ATC understaffing at DCA.
In general, withholding information that is normally given creates a vacuum. Vacuums are ripe for “conspiracy theories”. Wanna weaken conspiracy theories? Give out more information rather than less.
My point is the information should be released based on a uniform policy, not the choice of the family. And if they are acceding to the wishes of the family for DEI reasons (or some other embarrassing background info of the pilot) that is a problem.
-Easy to help prove they aren’t by having one policy – release all the names at the same time, as opposed to this “family asked” policy that was just initiated here.
Bitter claims he’s all for merit, but he wails against revealing the identity of the pilot because it MIGHT lead to a conclusion that she was not there because of merit.
Zzzzz. I believe in hiring and promotion solely on merit. What does that have to do with the family’s wish to not name their daughter? You know the haters will swarm them and use her name to discredit all female military pilots.
Why do you want her name so badly? Will you be sending hate mail or flowers to the family?
If the family of any of the victims and the male pilots had asked not to release the names of their family members, I would respect that because I don’t need the names.
Continued silence by the military gives “the haters” and “some people” more time to foment conspiracy tales about what went on here. Sunlight is the best disinfectant for those types of “pests”.
lisab was a teachers union leader and was loyal to promoting its policies. If she wasn’t she would have resigned. She also equated her feel good nonsense in the Peace Corps with military service.
if the military has a uniform policy, implement the uniform policy. By Bitterlaws standard, a military member (male or female) who is an orphan would be regarded differently than others, as they wouldn’t have a family to ask that their name not be released.
Audit the Fed wasn’t accepted by a lot of Republicans, simply because of the lead people on that initiative – yes, incredibly foolish, shortsighted and sophomoric reasoning.
Will Audit The Treasury be accepted more widely, seeing as how DOGE is already showing proof there has been A LOT of malfeasance corruption and incompetence?
