  4. DEI doesn’t mean that all non-male non-white employees are affirmative action/equity hires. Just that it is a reasonable probability. And if said person is below average or poor at their job, that becomes the stereotypical explanation even if untrue, because DEI exists.

Good. If you can go to Afghanistan and handle sophisticated weapons you should be able to buy a gun in the US.

The horse statue behind the hedge is the statue of Man of War, the thoroughbred that everyone wants their racehorse to be a descended from. This statue is in front of the Kentucky horse park and museum, just north of Lexington.

Wes would have smiled at this exchange, he hated Danang Dick as he called him.

Senator Blumenthal (D-CT) “Will you protect the FBI agents who worked with Jack Smith from any Trump retribution?”

Kash: “All FBI agents will be protected from political retribution.”

Blumenthal: “That was your first test and you failed.”

Kash: “For saying all agents will be protected?”

  20. That’s why I liked this picture for the puzzle. I put the horse statue just left of center to potentially “hide” it and by bringing in the fountain at the right, it made it look more like the entrance to a golf course.

Actually, Chicon is confused too. “Politically driven” is not a crime or illegal. I oppose any “prosecution of politically driven” people.

The DOJ and the FBI need to be cleaned out of far leftists and its agenda driven leadership but no one should be prosecuted for ideology, that is indeed “retribution”.

    Hope it is clear now.

    A load of crap.

The prosecution, if laws were broken, would not be for their ideology. It would be for investigating and prosecuting political opponents in order to prevent them from being elected.

Really not that hard to understand, for most.

  25. In the end I doubt a lot of people in the FBI or DOJ will be “prosecuted”. There will be firings, reassignments, resignations. Prosecutions? I doubt it.

That being said, if there are proven cases anyone falsified records or illegally disposed of them or other actual criminal activity go ahead and prosecute them.

  30. Trump has been roundly faulted for not dispensing “niceties” when making statements about colleagues or events. His comments on the latest aviation tragedy were the same as in the past – terse and to the point, pointing out possible DEI problems. As it turns out this actually could be a relevant factor why this crash happened because of an understaffed crew of traffic controllers at that site – 19 vs a fully staffed complement of 30+. That night there was only one man guiding both airplane and helicopter traffic.

Also, during COVID many controllers were let go because of a radical decrease in air traffic. When traffic picked up, and these same skilled controllers re-applied for their jobs, DEI standards were applied, rejecting many because they were white.

    https://nypost.com/2025/01/31/us-news/faa-embroiled-in-lawsuit-alleging-it-turned-away-1000-applicants-based-on-race/

”The Federal Aviation Administration was hit with a class-action lawsuit last year alleging it had denied 1,000 would-be air traffic controllers jobs because of diversity hiring targets — as it was revealed that staffing levels were “not normal” at the time of this week’s deadly midair collision.”

  33. I have two concerns around DEI

    a) Many applicants who were better qualified were denied a job that went to someone less qualified because the less qualified person had a gender, racial, or sexual aspect to their identity that was considered diverse.

    b) Just because someone happens to represent one of these aforementioned classifications does not mean they are unqualified. It’s not fair for these qualified people to always be held in suspicion because of DEI policies being enforced.

This is why DEI is terrible, and we must go back to the colorblind society where employers simply find the best candidates for the job.

  34. I personally know of a situation from 25 years ago where the chief of a Fire Department was so eager to hire the first female fire-fighter for that department that the test results of the candidate were falsified.

Every applicant had to be able to drag an object resembling a human body of sufficient weight over a certain distance. The woman who had applied and was being tested simply did not have the physical strength to complete the assignment.

So they just falsified her test results so get her in. Never mind the danger it posed to the community…if you happened to be the unconscious person in a burning building and she didn’t have the strength to pull you out.

You get to die to ensure that diversity was upheld.

  35. Why do some automatically assume white males are better?

The current DEI discussions revolve around skills and merit rather than color and gender – including the thinking that ”white males are better.” I also agree with DW’s 2nd concern, that promotions of women and minorities are often discredited for being a DEI choice, rather than deserved because of their legitimate qualifications.

I would have said, Senator, do you mean protect FBI agents from actions being taken against them because of their political registration or person beliefs? If so, then I wound answer yes.

But if you mean protect FBI agents from retribution who were part of an organized and unconstitutional (unlawful) effort to target former president Trump FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES to try to impact the 2024 election–then my answer is no.

The U.S. postal service started issuing stamps in 1847.
the oldest stamp I have is 1883. The stamp collector worth for this cancelled stamp is 20 cents.

I have another 1923 stamp that is either worth either $8 or $200. Depending on whether it is type I or type 2.

I have some other old ones that are in the $8 to $12 range. I have a whole sheet of state bird and flower stamps from the 1960s that are worth $55. I have 4 of those whole sheets.

I have 100 pages of other stamps in big photo albums, plus many boxes and sacks full of other stamps from U.S. and many other countries. I have some that are not cancelled and usable.
