  10. Some of Trump’s more controversial cabinet nominees are getting grilled today by disingenuous democrat senators. Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel are being quizzed on questionable accusations having little to do with the jobs they are being screened for, and are nothing more than dramatic diatribes, partial excerpts from prior statements made, meant to assassinate their judgment, aptitude for job, and reputations.

I agree with him, MI probably closer than NJ to flip, although I do believe NJ is possible in the next 10 years if Republicans make an organized, common-sense effort.

“Watching Tulsi’s hearing today. I’ve supported her for confirmation not because I agree with everything she’s ever said—I emphatically don’t—but because the Intelligence Community desperately needs (1) a skeptic temperamentally hostile to its groupthink and, even more importantly, (2) someone who’s been a victim of weaponized, politicized intelligence. That itself is far more important than any particular differences I have with her positions.”

-I would think the head of an intelligence agency should most definitely have #1, and a person who has dealt with #2 would only make that person even more formidable and effective.

I agree with this guy, wholeheartedly.

    Like

  27. NYC, that was me. It’s not just that MI is closer, we have a winnable Senate race in 2026, which is more important than any race in NJ. Plus making MI more winnable in 2028 for Vance or whomever is the nominee is also a bigger priority IMO.

    Tulsi Gabbard:

Endorsed Bernie Sanders for President in 2016 – check

F rating by the NRA – check

Tulsi has an F-rating from the NRA, a 0% rating by the Hawaii Rifle Association, and a 100% rating by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence

100% rating by the Brady Campaign – check

Ban “assault” rifles and high capacity mags – chek

F rating by the Susan B Anthony Pro life America

Representative Gabbard has consistently voted against efforts to protect the lives of the unborn as well as the consciences of taxpayers who don’t want their hard-earned tax dollars paying for abortion domestically or internationally. Rep. Gabbard has worked to prevent the implementation of the Trump administration’s pro-life regulatory efforts

    Climate Change alarmist – Check

We need to invest in 100% renewable and safe energy sources like wind, solar, and geothermal. I also support a ban on fracking, ending the $26 billion/year in fossil fuel subsidies, ban offshore drilling

    Socialized healthcare – check

I support a single-payer system where everyone contributes and is covered, and that will also allow individuals to access private insurance if they choose. If we truly want to reform our healthcare system, we cannot give big insurance and big pharma a seat at the table to draft legislation

    Amnesty – check

Most urgently, we must pass DACA to ensure children who know no other home are allowed to remain in the US and take steps to ensure children are not separated from their parents.

I could go on, but you get the point.

But hey, she is now a “conservative”.
