Missus and I took Don’s wife Cindy back to the hosp. in Winchester today.
Dpctors have Don lots of tests and have ruled out what it is NOT, but STILL cannot tell and are stumped as to what caused Don’s rapid decline. Of course NOW, he is sedated with Ativan…
It has been discovered that EVERY DAY he was drinking one six pack of 16 oz. beers PLUS TWO 32 oz. beers–EVERY DAY for many, many, many months. Cripes, I cannot drink that much fluid of anything.
Doctor thinks his physical decline, etc. may be part of detoxing. But also think there is dementia at work…

Nowhere did I say that some citizens are “less citizens”, but as usual, with your translations, you make up crap as you go along. Typical, and not surprising.
I do think our legislature and Supreme Court should clarify upon whom we confer citizenship, and through what procedures.
Moving forward, I do question the rationale behind allowing a citizen of another country to come here, whether legally (on a visa/short term stay) or illegally, and to have a child born here, and that makes that child automatically a United States citizen, as opposed to a citizen of the nation their parents came from.
I have no problem if a man and wife are here legally, going through the naturalization process, and the child gets born before the process is completed, then the child would be a citizen, as the child would not be able to pass the naturalization process on its own.
BUT, if the mom and dad are here on a short term stay, and are not going through the naturalization process, then NO, that child should be considered a citizen of their home country. Same for an illegal.
I don’t consider them less, they are just citizens of another country.
It is not despicable, it is not xenophobic, nor is it disgusting.
It is a valid question, and also a valid national security concern.

But there is a way to change the Constitution. Go for it. Get 38 states to ratify the change.

There have always been questions about birthright citizenship, and it is an issue which should be clarified with both legislation and a Supreme Court ruling.

And to repeat, I did not say any current citizen is less than myself. Those who received citizenship and have been deemed citizens up to this point receive the same regard and respect in my eyes as both Bitterlaw and yourself, one born into his citizenship, you naturalized into it.

It would be fun if during a political summit, Putin, Xi, Castro, Kim or one of the Ayatollahs comes here with a pregnant concubine, who then has a child on our soil, and they immediately get citizenship, but then move back to their home country for 25-30 years to be groomed as the new leader of their country, while also being able to run for office in the United States if they follow residency rules for a short period of time.
I’m a racist xenophobe for thinking that is wrong and it is a situation which should be rectified.

I’ll second that. I have sometimes agreed and sometimes disagreed with Jan’s take on the Russia-Ukraine war, but not once has she used Ron Paul as her reasoning, and I believe there are a lot of people who feel the same way as she does and don’t even know who Ron Paul is.

People went to the Capitol Building, following the speech at the Elipse, to peacefully protest Biden’s certification before hearing testimony from congress people regarding election irregularities. Entrapment incurred when barricades, signage was removed, doors were opened from inside and officers waved people to come into the building, leading some people around like docents — people who afterwards were chased down and arrested for trespassing, obstruction of congress etc.
