I wanted to say I am glad Elon is taking on the leftist/progressive governments and elites in the West (and not just the US). Even in spite of the H1-B visa kerfuffle.
Waking up the brainwashed masses that have been allowing their countries to be destroyed by woke, anti-freedom, anti-western policies and unfettered immigration is much more important for the long term future of the US than anything else he could be doing. We need the West to remain strong allies with Western values. He seems to have brought Zuckerberg around and that is huge in this effort.
Elon appears to be the world’s greatest multi-tasker, so I think SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla and his other businesses will still do well even with this newfound political focus.

Are the current wildfires the closest to LA in a long time? I would think having water available for all hydrants would be a good idea but I am not an expert. I know that there are not hydrants in the middle of forests and hillsides.

My homeowners went up 125% since 2020. Large increases in the last two years.

We packed up to-go bags and other stuff last night in case the winds changed. So far over a thousand homes destroyed in less than 24 hours in the Palisades fire alone. Malibu has had long time businesses and tracts of homes taken out like kindling wood, off of Hwy 1. The Pasadena area fire is raging with reported loss of life. I’ve never seen anything as devastating as this fire in my entire life. The sky is weirdly black and yet glowing on the perimeter. It’s an Armageddon event, as was described by one man fleeing the fire. .

3 one million galleon water tanks ran out of water at 4 am this morning in the Palisades area. No rainfall this season in S CA, low humidity, 80 mile per hour sustained winds became a perfect storm for this fire. People are in shock around here, and there is no end in sight.

–Mexico agrees to changing the name of Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America, and in return all the Trump watches, sneakers, bibles, perfumes, etc., etc. will be manufactured in Mexico.
–We also keep all the military bases and Naval bases in CA (sorta like Gitmo in Cuba) and in exchange, Mexico can put tolls on the San Francisco Bay bridge.
–We also give the people of CA (those that choose to do so) three years to move to any of the other 49 states. Mexico pays the moving costs if the CA residents (must be legal residents of the U.S.) choose to move within that 3 year time period.
The moving vans returning to CA/Mexico can carry the belongings of the 12 million illegals who came to the U.S in the last 4 years.

The latest Fire Chief hire is a gay woman and a big advocate of DEI policies in the fire dept. Competence appears to be secondary. Biden flew over our home today, on his way to make an incoherent appearance at a Santa Monica fire station. Why is he even out of the house! This is equipment that was replaced and warehoused, not longer in use. It was put to good use in Ukraine to fight fires caused by the Russian indiscriminate shelling and bombing of Ukrainian cities. Chicon, the voluntary evacuation zone is about a half mile away from our home. The actual palisades fire is about 5-8 miles. What is happening with these excessive winds is that embers are being carried out of the fire areas igniting homes in otherwise “safe” locations. It’s all very haphazard with spontaneous little fires starting in multiple random places. Now the DWP is ordering all water throughout LA county to be boiled. Santa Monica is excluded because we have our own independent wells.
