I would have absolutely voted for Adams over Jefferson
Let’s go further. I don’t really think people really know how close Aaron Burr was to being President. It took over 30 rounds of votes in the House for Jefferson to win the election in 1800. Back then Electors got two votes for President, with the winner being President and second place become VP. Burr and Jefferson each received 75 electors.
With the race in the House, any one Congressman who had changed his vote to Burr, and he would have been President, with that…history would have been dramatically different.
I would vote for Reagan, though to be fair, the times are diametrically different. The country is very different in its makeup, generations are very different, with Boomers on their way out, and now even Gen X (cough, cough) becoming older. (I still have a hard time believing Millennials are now in their 40’s, with the youngest being almost 30.
BTW, Millennials, who were AWFUL, have given way to Gen Z, which are insufferable for the most part. Anyway, I digress. Governing people today is different than when Reagan was President, and his value set might not reflect what these people value today.
With that said, Reagan was the kind of true dynamic leader who inspired people. He made people proud, built them up. He was truly a great man, and my guess is he would have adapted.
So, hard to compare. I have high hopes for Trump this term. I hope, with it being his last foray that he moderates his penchant to be his own worst enemy, that he listens to his advisors, and realizes that the country really does need a leader that they can look up to, and he can be that one. I like the fact that he grew his base with minorities, and hopefully he can continue to reach out to them and deliver. Again, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and hope that I can write in four years that he was a great President.
btw Gen Z v Millennials. Talk about the lesser of two evils
Reagan will get my vote between the 2 due to better communication skills but Trump has really shown himself to be a strong, visionary leader in Reagans mold, and if his current team can herd the Republican Congress to pass a lot of reforms, or if they dismantle the bureaucracy through the courts and keep eliminating rules and regulations like they did from 2017-2021, then may have to re-think.
I think true leadership transcends different times. Presidents like Washington, Lincoln, Teddy and Franklin Roosevelt would be able to lead today. Spineless Buchanan and at war with everybody Andrew Jackson might not fare as well. But Jackson did appeal to the non-elites so a Jackson-Trump election would be interesting.
To facilitate discussion, I am setting aside the issue of slavery and that slave owners were evil. Can you hear that where you are, Wes?
Jackson is an interesting subject. He redefined the Presidency, stopped a growing federal government which ushered in the succession of one term Presidents until Lincoln. Interestingly enough, after Jackson, only Lincoln and Grant were two term Presidents until McKinley, and he didn’t really serve his second term.
I thnk about who could have been President instead of him. Clay for one who desired the Presidency but never attained it, and especially Calhoun, who thought he would be the successor to Jackson. (Interesting point about Calhoun, he was the only man to be Vice President for two different Presidents).
Anyway, his legacy is complicated.
With that said, and talking about Calhoun as a VP, it is hard for me to fathom that Kamala Harris will go down in history as the first Female Vice President. That is a very sad commentary on the state of the country. So many accomplished, and more deserving women could have and should have held that honor. It’s a disgrace that a DEI choice was made for such a historically significant moment.
“Send a message. Elect more Democrats. NYC rarely disappoints.”
-Did you read the link?
If each incumbent realizes that the voters want him/her to vote the way they campaigned, each incumbent won’t have an issue. The writer even allows for Collins (blue state) and Murk (RCV) to be their disruptive self.
The writer dismisses losing winnable races as ho-hum, no big deal, oh well. If his ideal Senator is naive and dangerous isolationist Rand Paul, I have no use for his strategy. I can see why it appeals to you.
I have visited the homes of Jackson and Buchanan. Both are small by modern standards but big for their day.
Buchanan was absolutely the wrong man for the time. He was very intelligent and accomplished but was completely dominated by the South – odd for a man from PA.
Jackson strongly believed in the Union during the secession crisis brought on by South Carolina. However, as a slave owner and, therefore, evil, how would he have reacted to the Confederacy if he had been younger and lived then? Impossible to know since Jackson was shaped by his experience in the Revolution.
“Rand Paul didn’t just show up. Mike Lee didn’t just show up. Ted Cruz didn’t just show up. No, that was us. We changed things in the Senate. We beat unbeatable incumbents. We won unwinnable primaries. And we made it known that we expect conservatism from our alleged conservatives.”
-Bitterlaw gets “If his ideal Senator is naive and dangerous isolationist Rand Paul…..”.
In regards to Iran, he has made some questionable statements, but he did not support Obama’s Iran deal, so your statement is also questionable. As far as I can tell, Paul’s position on Iran is not so black-and-white as you make it out to be.
Bu again, all the writer did was write his name, and you take from that “If his ideal Senator is naive and dangerous isolationist Rand Paul…..”…………that is really missing the forest for the trees.
Reagan 1984 or Trump 2024? An election in what time frame? If 1984 I would definitely vote for Ronald Reagan. If today, I would definitely vote for Trump. Period. End of story.
I didn’t realize that Hamilton was told from teh perspective of Burr…that’s very interesting. Maybe I will see it.
Interesting perspective on Burr. I think much of his reputation is a bit tainted. He would never have tried to become President/King of the proposed new country if he hadn’t been screwed out of the election in 1800
LOL, not a vacation at all, its work…though, they actually do have beautiful beaches, but given its recent history, and the fact that you can only reach it through twice a week flights from Casablanca, or the once daily flight from Accra, rules it out as a vacation paradise.
During the 70’s and 80’s, the globalists and those that worship at the shrine of free trade, had not taken control of that big of a percentage of US markets. This changed radically with Nixon’s opening us up to trade with China. In the South, MANY textile companies went out of business as more and more cloth was being made in China by slave laborers. Saw it, lived it. Destroyed MANY small town economies in NC. My father, who had built his own knitting mill (had 2 of them and 5 outlets stores) shut down within 2 years. Larger companies, like Cannon, Fieldcrest, etc.. were gone by the mid-90’s. Same thing with the furniture manufacturers. Bush 1 finished off the small manufacturers in the South, with his openly globalist agenda.
During Reagan, the overriding threat to AMERICA was the USSR. It was a global threat. With the fall of the USSR, AMERICA is no longer in danger (although Biden and the neoCons are doing all they can to bring us into WWIII before Trump takes over). Most people who want these endless wars have switched their arguments from self-defense to defending democracy.
Today, the world is different. Under Trump, there were no wars. Israel was safer than ever. Manufacturing, energy production, etc. all were making a comeback in the US. This country was experiencing a great MIDDLE CLASS economic boom. We were energy independent.
Trump appointed STELLAR judges and has begun this country’s turnaround. He is EASILY the man for this time and country for those of us that LOVE AMERICA. God spared his life. There is an optimism and dropping of some internal divisions in this nation except for leftists and their sycophant neo-Con allies. I think Reagan would approve.
Tough one. Reagan was a great communicator but it could take days to weeks to get news to the states. He also believed in a strong military and there was little money or interest in that.
Washington was a great leader but he had difficulty with the “factions” in his time. Not sure how he would deal with the all out war between parties now. Also, he owned slaves so he was evil.
If there was an election between 2004 Bush and 2024 Trump, who would get your vote. Discuss. I would vote for Trump.”
I would vote for Bush, although not as enthusiastically as I would have voted for the 2000 Bush.
I base this on the fact there are very few issues I would prefer Trump over Bush on, although there is one major issue that I do prefer him on, and that is that Trump refuses to be defined by the MSM while Bush let them run all over him. Trump is much more combative against his opponents.
On issues that are important to me I prefer Bush on foreign policy, trade, and fiscal policy. I think they are about equal on judicial appointments, energy, and supporting the military. Certainly Bush was more of a social conservative than Trump, but mores have changed from 2004 so it is an unfair comparison. I think Trump is more pragmatic on social issues which is ok with me too.
My preference for the 2000 Bush is much stronger than the 2004 Bush. The 2000 Bush was the right man for the right time for 9/11 and the response.
f there was an election between 1984 Reagan and 2008 War Hero McCain, who would get your vote?”
Reagan.
To save time, I think Reagan was the best President in my lifetime and I would prefer him against ANY other candidate whether they actually ran for President or not.
Bitter says….Not sure. What’s your plan? Don’t ask questions unless you have a plan, too.
I do have a plan for China. Because China is a geo-political enemy of the US, and because of the slave labor, I support tariffs big enough to throttle them and to cause manufacturers to shift away from China.
Americans are largely funding an effort to weaken or defeat Russia in Ukraine; I would do the same with China.
Bitter, do support China using slave labor to make the gym shoes for American kids?”
Zzzzzzz….
There is a fake assumption here that all Chinese products are made by “slave labor”, which is of course blatantly false.
If you are talking about Uyghurs while they are certainly oppressed and many are enslaved they are a very tiny percentage of the Chinese workforce and less than 1% of the population.
Why? Because as a “100% litmus tested true conservative” you disagree with some of his votes?
McCain had decades of public service dedicated to conservative causes and supporting the military. He was re-elected what, 6 times, in a red state, so obviously his conservative constituents thought he was doing a good job representing them.
Why do you support Americans paying to defeat Russia, but not China?”
Zzzzzz, I am going to keep falling asleep here.
I support both.
I support countering the Russian invasion of Ukraine and making sure their expansionist plans to recreate the USSR and /or a Greater Russia fail.
If China invaded Taiwan, I support defending Taiwan militarily. Do you?
I support a strong naval presence in the Pacific as a deterrent to China and I support our military presence/alliances in the region with Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Australia, etc.
There is an optimism and dropping of some internal divisions in this nation except for leftists and their sycophant neo-Con allies. I think Reagan would approve.”
Still zzzzz…
Leftists and TDS sufferers about half the country, to that is a lot of “exceptions”.
And Albertus Idioticus should wash out his mouth when uttering the word “Reagan” and wash his hands when typing it, he wouldn’t know what “Reagan would approve” from a hole in the ground.
I did vote for Haley over Trump in this year’s primary because Trump is a moron on Ukraine. I would have voted for Christie over Trump in 2016 but he dropped out before the PA primary so I voted for Kasich as the last opposition to Trump still in it.
I don’t remember if I voted for Trump in the 2020 primary or left it blank since he was going to be nominated and didn’t need my vote.
Jason sez…..Why does he support American funds to defeat China, but not Russia.
Because the former might work, and the latter hasn’t.
I know you love war, but I’d rather deal with China before they invade Taiwan (and after, if it happens). The US has economic weapons they can use against China. I’d use them; you wouldn’t.
I’d be happy to use US economic power (which includes weapons) to get Russia out of Ukraine. I’ve yet to see a plan detailing how that will happen. How much? For how long? What are the odds of success?
If the answers are “I don’t know, whatever it takes”, that’s not a plan.
Jason said…Romney is a conservative. But he is also an unprincipled media whore who would step on his mother’s neck if it ingratiated him with the MSM.
Let me fix that…..Romney and McCain were conservative. But they are/were also unprincipled media whores each of whom would step on his mother’s neck if it ingratiated him with the MSM.
Is there anyone who thinks that God saves the lives of people based on their status? According to His Word, it rains on the just and unjust alike.
Rather, He has a plan for everyone. He is the Author of Life. If someone has a purpose that HE wants to make sure is brought to fruition and the person in question is HIS chose vehicle or instrument, then HE will save their lives.
However, most of us He allows us to reap what we sow. We respond to His grace or not. We are servants, when we are finished HIS work, whatever that may be, then He will bring us home.
No one here has said that God saves people based on the person’s status. It is a wicked lie that demonstrates a total lack of understanding of the Lord, regardless of why and how some one would say such stupidity.
And, no one, not even Bitter made such a claim but Bitter likes to accuse others here of wickedness and/or wrongheadedness just because he disagrees with them.
The US has economic weapons they can use against China. I’d use them; you wouldn’t.”
Because your view of our economic relationship with China is superficial, sophomoric and devoid of any factual basis. It is just colored by knee jerk protectionism and regurgitation of anti-foreign trade talking points.
The US exports $200 billion in goods and services to China. That is a lot of income for farmers and workers in the US that produce those goods and services. Total trade is over $760 billion.
While the trade deficit is large, over $350 billion, a lot of that is a result of our investments in China and US companies are deriving profits from that trade. That trade also employs millions of people in the US, involved in the design, marketing, transportation, storage, and sale of imported products. The commercialization of these products requires domestic investments, for example construction for stores and warehouses, providing more jobs. The supply chain for these products generates tax revenue important for communities nationwide.
A trade war with China is not just about “throttling China”, reducing trade with China has immediate negative consequences for US companies, US consumers, and US workers.
And of course, there are other players that would love to take over our trade with China, they are perfectly willing to replace our products with theirs.
Of course I do not oppose targeted sanctions on China for verified violations of intellectual property theft, dumping, and other violations. Nor do I oppose transferring manufacturing to other countries IF if makes sense economically. The cost of manufacturing in China is increasing for several reasons, and switching to Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, etc. might make economic sense for the same reasons investing in manufacturing in China made economic sense.
So basically, where we can exert “economic pressure” on China to further our geopolitical interests, we should do. But not the “let’s cut off our nose to spite our face” strategy.
Gov. Shapiro is on a sports talk radio station discussing the upcoming Eagles-Steelers game. He is trying to add to his fake moderate regular guy image.
Ok, so something to consider that I have not seen in these arguments at all is, what is the cost of destroying China’s economy by imposing massive tariffs on them. First of all, what is the goal of imposing these tariffs? Is it to make them stop manufacturing these goods because it becomes too expensive for them? Is it to raise the price of the goods so high that American companies can now compete with them, making an already $80 Pair of tennis shoes/sneakers $160? What is the goal of the tariffs, because I have not heard that, or missed it.
Next, tariffs would probably decimate the Chinese economy. Anyone who thinks there wouldn’t be a ripple effect globally is, to quote some here, an ostrich. The Chinese communist leaders in power would quickly shift their economy to a military one and use that military might in a belligerent way, using the Chinese flag to motivate its citizens. “Defend our country from the evil West!!” and we would have more of these “wars” that people rail against.
It’s not so simple as “put the Chinese out of business”
Someone who has lost a mother at age 12 and now has outlived both bothers and every one else in my family except a sister I’m often reminded of Isaiah 57:1-2….and please note that I am not a religious man….
“The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;
Reagan was brilliant in winning the Cold War. The first thing he needed to do was convince the people that the approach favored by the Kool Kidz in both parties – detente – was garbage. I still remember him answering a reporter’s question on how he viewed the Cold War – “we win, they lose”.
After that, he destroyed the Soviet Union without firing a shot; largely by convincing them that he was willing to do an arms build-up that they couldn’t come close to matching.
To me, China is as big (or bigger) than the USSR in the 80’s. The difference is that the Chinese economy is far more powerful than was Russia’s. I would advocate weakening China’s economy and putting pressure on Xi at home. Nike might have to make shoes elsewhere, I’m OK with that.
All these sightings of multiple fleets of drones off the east coast.
Some as large as a minivan.
Police officers have personally reported a fleet of as many as 50 drones “rising from the ocean”.
Lots near Bedminster (Trump home) and bridges and federal bases and facilities.
12 drones closely followed a coast guard vessel one night recently.
Government is mum about where they are coming from do they pose a risk, etc.
NJ recently had a press conference and briefing for 50 State legislators and others.
The official response is “we do not know where there are coming from, whether they propose a threat or not.
TECHNOLOGY exists to aim a device at bring it down.
TEchnology exists to SHOOT the drones down.
WHY ARE THESE MEASURES NOT BEING TAKEN?
****************
On radio today, I hear on Sirius channel 114 a person speaking who says he has high us and very good contacts with various people in various agencies.
HE says his informants in the government say there is an Iranian ship off the east coast that is the mother ship for these drones. He says his sources tell him that Iran had in the recent past made a big purchase from China for all sorts and sizes of drones.
*****************
WHY is our GOVERNMENT making no ATTEMPT to stop these drones, seize the Iranian ship, shoot down or otherwise capture these drones?
Walt, this is a great point. I believe we are asleep at the wheel to what drones are capable of doing, and the damage they can inflict. Globally, armies and police forces are ordering new, and more sophisticated drones to do the work that was normally carried out by troops or manned vehicles of all types.
These can now conduct operations with no threat of the loss of life, which makes them more dangerous. Without that fear of being shot at, shot down or dying, these drones (through their operators sitting in a chair playing a real life video game) can make daring moves and take chances they would never had taken in manned operations.
Mark my words, somewhere in the world a drone attack is going to be carried out that has global implications.
The lack of information on the drones is troubling. It reminds me of the lack of info on the Butler shooting. Information is the best defense against wacky conspiracy theories.
If those drones are coming from an Iranian ship, sink the ship. Stat.
Chi to be labeled an endless wars warmonger in 3…2…1…
I agree that if the drones are launched by a ship, the ship be given 10 minutes to recall the drones and leave or be seized. Better to grab it and find out its secrets. Or sink it anyway. I can live with either.
After that, he destroyed the Soviet Union without firing a shot; largely by convincing them that he was willing to do an arms build-up that they couldn’t come close to matching.”
True but not the whole story. He didn’t just “convince” them, he actually implemented an arms race the Russians could not afford to match without “trading guns for butter”. He aggressively moved to deploy intermediate range missiles in Europe. Essentially he bankrupted the Soviet Union. He coupled that with a parallel propaganda war (“Mr. Gorbachov tear down this wall”) in which he forced comparisons between the two systems and stimulated dissent in the Iron Curtain countries.
But there are some major differences between Russia in 1980 and China in 2024. The world was not as globalized and economically interdependent in 1980. The economies of Russia and the US/Europe were not as intertwined as they are now with China. China is not nearly as susceptible to the “guns vs. butter” argument Russia was.
The “make shoes elsewhere” might be deemed a clever slogan with the isolationist and protectionist crowd, but it is profoundly simplistic and superficial for anyone with even a modest understanding of how the world economy works.
On radio today, I hear on Sirius channel 114 a person speaking who says he has high us and very good contacts with various people in various agencies.”
Are they better than Chicon’s contacts in the Deep State?
If those drones are coming from an Iranian ship, sink the ship.”
Zzzzzz….
You can’t do that if it is in international waters. I suppose if the drones caused any damage and you could positively identify the ship as the source you could attack the ship in self defense.
But of course you can shoot down the drones as soon as the enter US airspace. You could then analyze the debris and learn a lot about where they were made and what is their purpose. The fact this hasn’t been done yet tells me these drones have not been deemed a threat to national security.
In any case, I don’t believe these drones are from an Iranian ship. Any drones approaching from international waters off the coast could be detected. Remember the US now tracks thousands of objects in space the size of a drone.
IF there was a ship launching drones off the East Coast, I am sure it is not due to Deep State. A Deep State ship would have “Deep State” painted in white on the hull surrounded by bright lights. The drones would also have lights that spell out Deep State and announce, “Ignore the secret Deep State drones.”
Kimmel describes how his producers are in love with the UnitedHealth murderer: “I would visit him in prison! And bake him cookies, maybe. Perhaps more …“ “I’m about to be a jailhouse bride”
No. It is ironic that many conservatives howled over Michelle Obama’s school lunch shenanigans but would welcome Democrat RFK, Jr.’s plans to impose Federal regulations on food based on European regs.
I think the drones situation will eventually turn into one similar to nuclear weapons…”I don;t worry about the person/country with lots of nuclear weapons to launch, I worry about the person with one.”
a long person will soon be able to carry out a large attack as they become more sophisticated, faster and easily accessible.
Hegseth has been deluged with lies and negative propaganda by those wanting to sh*t an his nomination. The progressive left is acting very strange about Trump’s nominees – makes one wonder the reasons behind their attempts to keep these people away from being in DC enabling them to reform and investigate.
We understand that ProPublica (the Left Wing hack group) is planning to publish a knowingly false report that I was not accepted to West Point in 1999. Here’s my letter of acceptance signed by West Point Superintendent, Lieutenant General Daniel Christman, US Army.

“A Deep State ship would have “Deep State” painted in white on the hull surrounded by bright lights. The drones would also have lights that spell out Deep State and announce, “Ignore the secret Deep State drones.””
“Maybe the drones were launched by NYC to send a message.”
-Bitterlaw, well done!
It looks like Tina’s lessons are starting to sink in!
“No. It is ironic that many conservatives howled over Michelle Obama’s school lunch shenanigans but would welcome Democrat RFK, Jr.’s plans to impose Federal regulations on food based on European regs.”
-Let’s see what comes out before you accuse RFK of doing things before he has done them,
A Republican Congress will have power to circumvent any overreach. Of course, that might mean they would have to stand up and make decisions, instead of shuffling them off to the bureaucracy like they have for years…….
Red dye has been seen as a carcinogenic substance, which is why it’s banned in other countries. Our country is captured by big business interests which is why we still have not banned it. Apparently dying food, like cereals, is more appealing to children, and thus sells better.
Making fun of RFK’s recommendations to provide a healthier diet means you don’t care about getting cancer.
JUST IN: Trump celebrates the resignation of FBI Director Christopher Wray, says Kash Patel is incoming. “Under the leadership of Christopher Wray, the FBI illegally raided my home, without cause, worked diligently on illegally impeaching and indicting me, and has done everything else to interfere with the success and future of America.” “Kash Patel is the most qualified Nominee to lead the FBI in the Agency’s History, and is committed to helping ensure that Law, Order, and Justice will be brought back to our Country again, and soon.” “We want our FBI back, and that will now happen. I look forward to Kash Patel’s confirmation.”
RFK, Jr. has made it obvious he wants to further regulate food and referenced different policies on food additives in Europe. Obvious to everybody but NYC, of course
Trump: The resignation of Christopher Wray is a great day for America as it will end the Weaponization of what has become known as the United States Department of Injustice. I just don’t know what happened to him. We will now restore the Rule of Law for all Americans. Under the leadership of Christopher Wray, the FBI illegally raided my home, without cause, worked diligently on illegally impeaching and indicting me, and has done everything else to interfere with the success and future of America. They have used their vast powers to threaten and destroy many innocent Americans, some of which will never be able to recover from what has been done to them.
Kash Patel is the most qualified Nominee to lead the FBI in the Agency’s History, and is committed to helping ensure that Law, Order, and Justice will be brought back to our Country again, and soon. As everyone knows, I have great respect for the rank-and-file of the FBI, and they have great respect for me. They want to see these changes every bit as much as I do but, more importantly, the American People are demanding a strong, but fair, System of Justice.
We want our FBI back, and that will now happen. I look forward to Kash Patel’s confirmation, so that the process of Making the FBI Great Again can begin. Thank you!
Trump was a DC novice during his first term in office, relying heavily on suggestions by others, such as Christie’s regarding Wray. DeJoy was in over his head from the very beginning, even though he had executive experience which Trump saw as a benefit for the job. He was wrong.
RFK Jr. will be an asset in resetting the standards we expect from our food and health of children and adults. Avoiding disease, excessive weight gains, or short cuts in assessing the safety of vaccines is a good thing for our society.
I want people to be aware of what the government, at the behest of big business and pharma, is allowing them to put in their bodies. Knowledge over profit…..
#BREAKING: Iran has reportedly stationed a “mothership” deploying drones over Trump’s New Jersey golf club and other parts of the state. Rep. Jeff Van Drew: “These drones should be SHOT DOWN.” This is utter madness. The military is “on alert.
Kash Patel discovered all of the illegal fib spying as a congressional investigator for Nunes. Wonder if comedy, mccrape, wrong Wray, and others receive blanket pardons from demented.
The definition of “conservative” certainly has changed. Now it apparently supports wars without the consent of Congress, vaccines circumventing rigorous clinical trials, mandates and regulations over everything but our food sources and health protocols, and legislation that only goes along and gets along with consensus thinking – no real reform allowed.
Currently, according to the self-described Pure Conservatives, to be a “Reagan Republican” one is required to have blind faith in government. Of course Reagan said… “The most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”.
Yep, the definition of conservative changes, for some….
Chris Wray’s legacy will be turning the world’s most powerful law enforcement agency into a domestic terror operation that includes raiding the home of the former president, entrapping individuals into politically-oriented hoaxes like Whitmer fednapping, colluding with Big Tech to protect the Biden crime family by censoring Americans, and using the FBI counterterrorism task force to investigate, raid, and arrest nearly 1,600 Americans who protested the 2020 election on January 6.
His failures include record crime, a bleeding southern border, out of control fentanyl crisis, and historic low trust in the FBI. Seems impossible but the worst FBI director in US history. The damage he caused this country may never be fully repaired.
“RFK, Jr. has made it obvious he wants to further regulate food and referenced different policies on food additives in Europe. Obvious to everybody but NYC, of course”
-It’s obvious to most, except Bitterlaw, that one person does not have sole power over the rules and regulations which Americans deal with on a daily basis.
I am not afraid of a vigorous debate, and I have been assured that our Congressional leadership, especially in the Senate, are conservatives, and fall on the side of less government is the best government. Full disclosure on all information available is the best way to move forward.
It seems that Bitter and Jason are the direct opposite of Reagan; they can’t even bring themselves to acknowledge that it is odd for the government to ban a substance in skin cream while allowing it in food.
Blind faith in government is not a Reaganite position.
“Trump: The resignation of Christopher Wray – THE MAN I ALONE APPOINTED AND AM 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR
Fixed it.”
-I am positive that jason will be along shortly to remind Bitterlaw of the Advise and Consent Clause in the U S Constitution…….odd that a lawyer would have to be reminded of that…….
Cth; “A preplanned resignation allows Director Wray to continue portraying FBI officials and agents as victims, and this approach gives the corporate media the time to organize shine the halos and organize their best magnanimous political exit so far.”
I don’t trust government. The answer is NOT to turn it over to Democrats like RFK, Jr. or view Trump as an infallible god just because he (for now) says he is against something.
“I don’t trust government. The answer is NOT to turn it over to Democrats like RFK, Jr. of view Trump as an infallible god just because he (for now) says he is against something.”
”Blind faith in government is not a Reaganite position.”
There is so much today deemed part of the conservative doctrine that Reagan would not agree with …..and yet his name is used in vein in order to criticize others.
Odd that NYC – who wants the GOP Senators to approve all of Trump’s current nominations – is blaming Republican Senators for approving his 2017 nominations.
Bitterlaw – just to be clear – I am not turning on you.
We are simply having a disagreement, which will probably be sorted out quickly, IF you are willing to admit you are just arguing for arguments sake….. 🙂
“Odd that NYC – who wants the GOP Senators to approve all of Trump’s current nominations – is blaming Republican Senators for approving his 2017 nominations.”
-Blamed them?
NO. Just pointed out YOUR STATEMENT WAS FACTUALLY INCORRECT.
Trump owns his pick. He was not solely responsible for it. Others voted to put him through.
Unfortunately,Bitter, it is you who interpret gratitude that Trump defeated Harris, that his win seems to be having a positive effect, both domestically and with world leaders, and that he is making some serious appointments to fix issues voters were most concerned about, to having blind faith or bring a cult member.
Did the Senate vote to put him through as Trump’s pick for FBI Director?
Yes? No?
A vote signifies some responsibility.
Maybe they should have asked people like Gaetz, Nunes and/or Patel for their opinions back then. Maybe they would have looked at different places for more information.
I’m more worried that Walt missed my country sentences from the other night! I worked hard on them! I was hoping to be rewarded with some Benin Jerry for my efforts!

However, most of us He allows us to reap what we sow. We respond to His grace or not. We are servants, when we are finished HIS work, whatever that may be, then He will bring us home.

After that, he destroyed the Soviet Union without firing a shot; largely by convincing them that he was willing to do an arms build-up that they couldn’t come close to matching.
To me, China is as big (or bigger) than the USSR in the 80’s. The difference is that the Chinese economy is far more powerful than was Russia’s. I would advocate weakening China’s economy and putting pressure on Xi at home. Nike might have to make shoes elsewhere, I’m OK with that.

TODAY, let’s talk about DRONES.

Thank you!
