7. WILL the TV networks actually follow the lead of the LA newspaper that fired its entire editorial staff, and the TV execs make changes–like cancelling “The View“, instituting things to actually make their news coverage more “Fair and Balanced?”
Dems will not change their abortion or anti-Israel views. They will strongly push the feminist agenda and continue to support Hamas, although they will endorse every foreign war they can find except for anything geared to support Israel.
They will moderate on open borders and trans for kids. They will more fully endorse free trade and oppose any attempts to limit trade with China.
They will not pursue the working class garbage as they do not line up with them culturally. They will seek to attract and bring into their fold the Cheneys, Romneys, Ryans, etc. as well as all of the pro-baby killing GOPers. Look for the NeverTrumpers and neo-cons to get into bed with them.
The media will moderate until the summer of 2026 in an attempt to draw in middle of the road viewers. Then they will get full-bore behind the DEMS as usual. However, their influence as well as that of FOX will be even more dead.
The GOP is now a Trump party. He has shown he is not going to get in bed with the RINOs but rather go after the outsider and independent voters. More Tulsi and Kennedy much less Haley, Bolton and Pence.
The DEMS will look for leftist disguised as moderates, like Whittmeir and Shapiro. They WILL have a Jew on their ticket to help their true selves. Shapiro turning Harris down as well as the RNC/Turning Point/Scott Pressler focus on GOTV were the two decisions that cooked Harris’ goose. What a stupid woman she is.
So, oahodges–you believe Trump is continuing and will continue to transform and change the R party, but the Ds are stuck in pretty much their sa.e old ruts.
Since Trump is the most successful RINO in history, doesn’t that make the GOP the RINO party? Remember that RINO Trump said Bill Clinton was the greatest President of his lifetime.
I’ve been enjoying Scott Jennings battling the CNN panel of lefties, as they attempt to rationalize the election and criticize Trump’s administrative choices. Afterwards, they all have the deer-in-the-headlights looks, but nothing really changes even with Jenning’s infusion of facts and common sense. Consequently, I don’t think there will be any major epiphanies causing Dems to modify their tactics and fear mongering towards trump or the Republican Party.
The dems will also continue to lean on celebrities to attract constituencies, rely on big donors for funding (outspent Trump 3-1), push on-demand abortion, DEI, CRT, LGBTQ cultural agendas, and support open borders and sanctuary cities/states. Here in LA, for example, Mayor Bass is behind creating a sanctuary city status for Los Angeles, after hiring a new police chief affirming he will not work with ICE. What the Dems have decided, IMO, is to obstruct and resist all the way up to the next election.
It has more to do with core beliefs. Bill Clinton moved the party to the middle but he was able to do that because he was a Southern governor with a mainstream persona running against a RINO globalist elitist. Clinton was culturally a better fit for working class America than Bush was.
When W. ran, he ran almost as an isolationist. He was not. But again, Al Gore, although from the South, was not a cultural fit for the working class. W. was closer and won. 9/11 changed all that in W. and the neo-cons ascended although they were always a part of the GOP coalition.
This is Trump’s party. Vance cements it. Pence and Harley are hated by the base. HATED BY THE BASE.
Prolifers are stuck with a national party that will uphold states’ rights in this matter, appoint conservative judges and oppose government funding for abortion. The EXCEPT same position of Reagan and the prolife movement during the 70”s and 80’s. They will whine and focus on the states. That more local fight will keep the issue front and center in the electorate.
Workism and leftist cultural values are ascendent among the professional class. They are not going anywhere. They get their $$$ from governmental jobs or funding. I have to work with those harpies and soy boys all the time. They will fight very hard to keep their jobs and funding and all suffer from TDS.
The Romneys, Cheneys, Ryans have been replaced except for the old farts holding on to their power. When they die off or retire, they will be replaced by more MAGA/outsider type GOPers.
The classic liberals in the DEM party…the Clintons, Caseys, Testers, etc. are dying out, being defeated or clinging onto power until the end. They are being replaced with the Gallegos, Harris, Buttigeigs, Newsomes, AOC’s.
Reagan was a proabort Dem until he changed. He was ALWAYS America First although such a view was never considered not conservative until RINOs and Neocons hijacked the GOP by fusing the globalist world view and military complex cheerleaders into the traditionally isolationist GOP. It was the GOP who opposed intervention into WWI and WWII. It was Eisenhower who opposed the military complex that no Kristol or Cheney ever could resist.
Parties change. Society changes. Culture changes. The GOP is a MAGA party now and those holding on to other views are dying out. Reminds me of the conservative DEMS of my youth who held out hope that the DEM party would change. McGovern, Mondale, and Clinton changed that. Obama killed any such views.
I just added a bunch more single-state polling grades to the polling grades page. Still cannot finish even these due to CA and other states still counting votes. It’s absurd.
Vic, I have many times raised the issue of the constant misrepresentation of the position of others.

Interesting that after I made the #2 post about how the Dems might evaluate the election results and reevaluate and change their main focuses….I read in the newspaper this afternoon of a left wing syndicated columnist posing some of the same questions and urging the left to dump some of their key issues that are not connecting with the voters.
THEN, when later listening to the radio in the car (both FOX newsy station AND the CNN station) I heard both the left and right wing stations raising some of the same points about how the DEms/Left need to change their message and abandon some of the main issues they are espousing.
Because the voters are not buying what the Dems/Left are selling.
Also have read and heard some stuff about declaring how the election shows how woke is broke, DEI is really indefensible, they/them/she/her/it and the rest of the pronouns push is stupid (even AOC after the election has scrubbed those pronouns from her website), and how the left going full bore on the trans gender thing and pushing for federal dollars to pay for sex change of prisoners is just foolish and turns voters off to their side.
Instead of the R party to be a place where conservatives could feel comfortable, it seems we are moving to conservatives being an uncomfortable minority within the R party. I cannot see conservatives moving to the D party.
Funny that for the first time in 50 years, it seems that in the last several years NOBODY from EITHER party is talking about the huge and growing national debt and need to have a balanced budget, etc.
To his credit, Trump does talk about shrinking the size of the federal government, etc. and if he is able to accomplish that, it will shrink the amount on the federal spending side. But Trump has also said he wants to not tax tip income, not tax SS income, and extending the previous Trump tax cuts and that will shrink the amount coming in on the revenue side. And of course there is the issue of impact (+ and -) of any selective tariffs that might come about…
I predict the election in 2028 will have HA, CA, WA, OR, CO, NM, IL, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, and ME still solidly voting for whoever the D candidate is.
News article today in paper is about how Trump gained a LOT of young voters voters (higher % than anybody would think). But the young voters disagree with Trump on issues like the climate crisis/global warming, canceling of student debt, and LBGTQ/Trans issues.
They mainly agree with Trump on most other economic policies.
The website I am checking on there PA Senate race says there are about 5,600 provision ballots cast for Casey in Allegheny Co. snf about 8300 provision ballots cast for Casey in Philly.
Have these been COUNTED officially?
Is there any public listing of WHY they were categorized as “Provisional”?
(ie, not on the voter registration list, just moved to Philly or Allegheny Co, no signature or date on the mail-in ballots, etc.)
DW did say a steal was underway. He was unfairly ridiculed by the Ostriches. Soon we will hear how they knew it all along – whether the steal ends up successful or not.
I see The Ostriches – who lie continuously about the positions of others – are in a tizzy because they think (incorrectly) that others are misrepresenting their positions. This a a beautiful, textbook, example of projection. I would’ve thought they’d love it.
When I worked the polls on election day, we had about 5-10 provisional ballots cast in the 2 precincts in our building. Some just moved here from CA. some had not voted for in 15 years so had been removed from voter list due to so many elections no vote, some not from these 2 precincts but lived in other parts of the county, some not on voter registration list. In WV, the county commission (5 members in our county) serve as the review board for provisional ballots and they decide whether each is a legitimate WV voter or not and vote whether or not to count each provisional ballot.
I do not know how many provisions in our county, but with @ 80 voting precincts, I would guess in the neighborhood of about 300-400 provisionals max.
The county comm. finished all the canvas of the election and counts and votes on provisional ballots on Friday–as WV state law requires.
Big Z says…..“I, as the president of Ukraine, will only take seriously a conversation with the president of the United States of America, with all due respect to any entourage, to any people.”
And….war with Russia ‘will end sooner’ after ‘good meeting’ with Trump.
Why would Big Z say such things about the moron Trump? Why would he trust Trump more than the Hero of Ukraine and all Ostriches, Joe Biden? This must really burn the feathers of all Ostriches….
Why would Big Z say such things about the moron Trump? Why would he trust Trump more than the Hero of Ukraine and all Ostriches, Joe Biden? This must really burn the feathers of all Ostriches….”
Wins stupidest interpretation of facts award for the day.
Considering the hour, we might as well close the contest.
Maybe Chicon can find ONE post where anyone RIDICULED DW’s posts.
DW is absolutely correct the Dems are stealing votes.
The question is can they steal enough votes to change the outcome.
So far AP, Fox, and DDHQ who called the race, and the betting sites giving 99% odds against don’t think so, and evidently neither does McCormick or the PA GOP.
But should we be concerned about election integrity in PA?
Absolutely, I have said many times here that Trump had to win outside the MOF, and obviously so did McCormick.
ok so update. The Youngs ones team won again, but by an uncomfortable 2-1. Sadly, as great as they played against a better team yesterday, they played down to todays competition, but still held on
they only need a tie or win against the last place team to go to the championship.
the bad news…game is at 10 am…105 miles away and championship game is at 7pm!!
bitter. Problem is in this tournament they have a weird scoring system that could allow both teams we’ve beat to jump ahead of us tomorrow if our boys don’t win…it’s absurd because we’d end with the same record as either team and beat them head to head, but because they won 5-3 and 2-1 they “left” three points out there that would have guaranteed a spot in the finals.
btw, the other U10 academy team played an all girls team, and of course everyone thought they would run all over them. Let me tell you, those girls are AMAZING!!! Tough, incredibly fast, skilled, knowledgeable…it was an insane game. More entertaining than some pro games. Final score. Boys 1, girls 0….and that was only because of a free kick just outside the box that curled into the upper left corner over the goalies fingers
Bitter. Everyone stays because this is the best site and best polling aggregator out there AND because you’ve done a great job saving us.
Don’t take people’s complaints as a sign they don’t really appreciate what you’ve done. I think I can speak for us all when I say THANK YOU!! Honestly, we all appreciate it.
Fun fact. Take away CA, NY and WA, and Trump beats Kamala in the other 47 states by 7.5M votes!!!! equivalent to a 7 point win 53% – 46% nationally.
That’s insane. Even more so…Colorado was further left voting than IL, VA, NH,. NJ, ME, and EVEN with NY, with the margin of victory for Komrade Kamala 11%.
Vic – At that age there really is no difference between boys and girls physically (relax, DW. I’m talking about sports). They mature faster. I’m surprised the girls didn’t win.
I coach rec teams of girls in 8th-12th grade and boys 10-125) grade.
The girls are better at playing a team game. They actually pass the ball. Boys mostly score on fast breaks and by shooting threes.
Bitter – tyrannical rule is not it. You want this to be a place of attack rather than discussion.
I would rather this be a place of respectful discussion. But, as you and Jason point out often, it is not for everyone and there’s no free lunch. So, at least with you two, that’s how I’ll operate since that’s what you desire.
I think you’re a good person – anyone who coaches youth sports for kids other than his own is a good human in my book. You desire a rough, no-holds-barred forum. Both can be true.
I want this place to be whatever it is at that moment. Nobody is as pure as you want to pretend. Except for Vic the Peacemaker and immortal Walt. everybody attacks in their own way.
So you don’t like to be challenged. Got it. I have spend decades in court identifying and responding to arguments. I get paid every 2 weeks so I guess I do a good enough job.

The PA count site list a total of @ 37,000 provisional votes for CAsey and @26,000 provisional votes for McK”
Unfortunately the ratio of the remaining votes is less favorable to McCormick because they are from heavily Dem counties.

Walt, it seems that the voters of PA are not interested in a system that ensures the integrity of the vote.

Considering the hour, we might as well close the contest.

Zelensky doesn’t “trust Trump more than Biden”, he would be an idiot to do so.
Trump is the new game in town, he has to adapt to the reality.
I have plenty of bad things to say about Biden, but Biden’s policy to Ukraine was the right thing to do.
Only an idiot like Chicon would think “Zelensky trusts Trump more than Biden”.
Hilarious.

I have said McCormick will win since the morning after the election.

ok so update. The Youngs ones team won again, but by an uncomfortable 2-1. Sadly, as great as they played against a better team yesterday, they played down to todays competition, but still held on
they only need a tie or win against the last place team to go to the championship.
the bad news…game is at 10 am…105 miles away and championship game is at 7pm!!
last…I see nothing changed while I was gone LOL!
though Walt’s musings were very thought provoking

In soccer, 2-1 is running up the score. Good luck tomorrow.

I tell you because I believe you’d appreciate it

And finally, Trump won 31 states, Kamala 19.
