COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Election night in Ohio brought Republicans several wins, and while Gov. Mike DeWine said it was a good for the party, he has a message for its members.
“Bipartisanship, to some extent, is pretty much mandated if you want to get anything done,” he said. “There will be differences of opinion. That’s not going to change. But I think there are some areas that we ought to be able to reach some agreement on.”
DeWine said one of those areas is that there should be agreement on is foreign affairs.
At least for since World War II, that has been bipartisan. And we should try to, with some exceptions, we should try to keep that,” DeWine said.
But DeWine said one of the largest undertakings for the federal government right now is immigration.
“We have had a long tradition in this country, going back decades, of letting people into this country who want to work and also people who were fleeing a country that was very dangerous to them or they were being politically or religiously oppressed,” DeWine said. “I think that is what this country is all about. And I think we should be able to continue, we should be able to do that into the future.”
If he appoints someone who believes in free trade it would be a further plus.

According to NBC there are 122,000 votes left (provisional and overseas and military)
Not all will count and not all are from Allegheny and Philadelphia, about 32,000 of those are in Allegheny and Philadelphia).
But even IF they all counted and even IF Casey won 70% of them, it would not erase a 40k lead.

I dont think it is accurate to call Trump an isolationist. He certainly has strongly supported Israel.
What he wont do is align our foreign policy with the globalists or the military complex. George Washington set the bar high when he urged America to not get involved in foreign affairs. The US always followed this course until Wilson became president. The GOP avoided this impulse until the Bushes/Cheneys. Time to go back to putting America First, working for peace at all times and then using the military as a last resort.
The military should be mobilized the stop the invasion on our Southern border. THAT is the most important foreign and domestic imperative this nation has.

Zzzzzzzz. This is the most quoted and misunderstood thing Washington said in Farewell Address. At the time he said this, the U.S. had almost no army and no navy. He spoke at a time when it took 4-6 WEEKS for a sailing ship to go to or from Europe. The most powerful weapons on Earth were smoothbore cannon with an effective range of 2 miles or less. The dominant forces on Earth were Britain and Revolutionary France. The U.S. could really not offer anything significant to either. Trading with both was about the best America could hope for but the country did not have the ability to matter by “entangling” with either.

Trump should immediately offer a work permit program and path to citizenship for dreamers without felonies who are gainfully employed and crime free in let’s say 5 years.
It is a relatively small number of people, maybe 1 million, it will garner a lot of good will and it will take the air out of the opposition to deporting all criminals and the 1.3 million who already have deportation orders.
Plus, these people are not going anywhere anyway, there is no political will or even feasibility to deport them.

As the child of a legal immigrant who came here in 1966 with a $1000 bond to the US government, a sponsor, and a job waiting for her, I really have to grit my teeth that those alleged Dreamers just get to have citizenship without having earned it like my mother did. I suppose their parents will get handed citizenship once the kids get it it, so Dreamers are basically low rent anchor babies. So be it, but those f*ckers got all sorts of benefits that we paid for, such as an education that they would not have been given in the third world hellholes they came from, so they had better pay us back in taxes and fees first (too many have been given college educations on the public dime as well).
As for the military, having worn the uniform myself and been sent off to die in places that I had no business going to, I actually wouldn’t mind seeing our best being sent to Mexico (with their invitation, of course), and working with the Mexican army to destroy the cartels. If posse comitatus prevents our soldiers from being sent to our border, we can put them on the other side and accomplish the same mission while also destroying the a-holes who are killing too many of our citizens.

Dreamers got benefits like a free education that we all paid for. They can make some effort to repay those monies before they get the permanent benefits of American citizenship.

The GOP should be able to put Dreamers (who literally have never been to where they would be deported to) on a path to some form of legal status/citizenship in exchange for real reform and border security. How about 500 dreamers for each mile of wall. 1 Dreamer for 1 criminal and 1 other illegal deported. Open to discussion.

”dreamers” agree that something should be done but we have to watch the definition. That last one included people who came in over 18 and applied to people in their 30’s who just attended an online class at some local school.
the definition needs to be tight, there has to be stringent requirements, and it’s a PATH to citizenship. Not automatic…and that path needs to take time. Additionally, when they are citizens that path does not apply to their parents and other family.

I attacked Halperin here as a sexual predator leftist hack..
Maybe Halperin wants to be on the winning side and that colored his comments, but he made several that will be hard to take back. He said the MSM was very unfair to Trump and that they pretty much colluded to accept false narratives like “enemies list”, “use the military against opponents”, “both sides”, “suckers and losers”, “Nazi” “Liz Cheney firing squad” etc. He called them all blatant lies that anyone called a journalist should not be promoting.

If DDHQ is correct with 91% reporting in AZ-6, that means there are roughly 36,000 outstanding ballots. Cochise is over 75% of that number.
