Am staying near Traverse City, MI. Lots of signs here for Aboul for senate. I am in an area where the super rich have 2nd homes on Lake Michigan. When Traveling outside the city, more signs for Roger’s in the more rural, normal people areas.
I have not yet tried to vote here…

Per NBC early voting data, Republicans have taken the lead in Texas. 2,294,284 votes have been cast in Texas. Republicans 46% (+1) Democrats 45% Ken Paxton is going to win.

If there is no Party Registration in Texas, are they open primaries? If so, could Dems have voted for Paxton to get the weakest GOP candidate?

BL, they could have, but they had their own contested primary between Jasmine Ratched and the Tala-Freakshow guy, so they had plenty to mull over without trying to ratf*ck the GOP.

Bitter – That is correct anyone can vote in either primary. But, you can’t switch parties for the runoffs.
Some R party officials have tried to close the primaries. A bad idea in my idea. I think an open primary holds both parties more accountable to the public.

Pick a side. If you don’t pick a side, then you shouldn’t decide who the candidate will be.

I am at the Houston Space Center.
Conclusion 1 – Rockets are huge.

Hope you are enjoying your trip to Houston, bitter. My late wife and I used to live two miles from the Space Center. Neil Armstrong’s house was five doors down at the time he went to the moon. Jim Lovell and Ed White lived on the same block. My wife socialized with most of the then astronauts prior to our marriage who all lived in that subdivision at the same time. Said Lovell was arrogant, self- absorbed, narcissistic prick. LOL

A win by Bolsonaro gets rid of Lula, the last Marxist left among the major SA countries.
Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Chile already have conservative Presidents. Even Venezuela might not be conservative, but is less Marxist than Maduro.

If Flavio Bolsonaro wins, it will a major case of lawfare backfiring.
As was tried here with Trump, the Brazilian judiciary found Bolsonaro’s father and ex- president Jair Bolsonaro guilty of an attempted “coup” and jailed him so he couldn’t run again.
As a result, his son ran instead and could win. If he does, he will pardon his father and will try to impeach the SC justices that jailed him.
