I am starting to think that its not just the MI senate race or some of these other races, but maybe just the whole country is no longer pollable. Here is but another example in the Florida race for Governor. Should be a pretty easy race to poll. But here we go, two polls of the same race taken at basically the same time:
Stetson University, 9/14-21:
Donalds 51 (+12)
Jolly 39
St. Pete Polls, 9/15-17:
Donalds 44 (+1)
Jolly 43
In the old days Dave Wissing would comment that after 9/17 some major shift happened in favor of Donalds, as though both polls were correct.
But all of this is absurd. There are pollster gaslighting, pollsters under-sampling, or using RVs, or doing month-long polls, or only polling via texts to cell phones, or totally online and no live interviews, its literally all over the place.
And now we have AI, which might be getting in the mix, and we have Dems openly running as communists or anti-semitic terrorists, and the works. This is what an un-pollable electorate looks like.

Janzam assured us that after Labor Day people in TX would start paying attention to the senate race and Paxton would look better in the polls.
So far have not seen ONE poll where he is leading.

I doubt this decision will have much impact on the midterms, but it might serve as a deterrent for illegals to try to register in future elections.

I wasn’t defending the Slingshot poll, what I said was it was in good company meaning it showed what the other polls show. Talarico ahead.
My point was ALL polls have Talarico ahead not ONE has Paxton winning.

I think Paxton will eke out a narrow win because I just can’t imagine Texas voting for the commie weirdo.
That being said, “a 1 point game” as the best scenario is pretty scary.
Paxton is an underwhelming candidate and that is why he is trouble.

Evidently PACs have already spent $51 million on Paxton.
If R lose narrowly any races like IA, OH, ME, AK, etc. you can make a good case Paxton will be to blame because of the resources that have to be made to prop him up.
Cornyn would have required ZERO outside money to wipe the floor with this cross between Alfred E. Newman and Howdy Doody.

“An elderly man in Maryland has been arrested after he allegedly confessed to his pastor that he killed his roommate following an argument over an electrical outlet.
Irwin Joseph Dickstein was taken into custody on Sunday, September 20, and was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder in the death of his roommate, Michael Roy Bushnell.”
Dickstein is 87.

That poll with Rogers up 1 is Torchlight Strategies. Not much on them, so I had to dig in the archives, and found they had one poll in 2024, of the POTUS race in Nebraska. They predicted 57/37 for Trump and the final results was 59/39, so that’s pretty accurate. But its just one poll.

it depends on what indies in Texas want. If they want a candidate who would chop the privates off a boy because he looked at a Barbie doll, then Talarico is their guy. If they want someone who protects boys from this horrific child abuse, then its Paxton.
My fear is that most “independents” are really commies.

“The southern Ukrainian city of Oleshky — under Russian occupation since 2022 — has become “hell on earth,” local officials and humanitarian workers told ABC News, as thousands of remaining residents face starvation and hundreds flee through a war zone littered with mines and bodies.
Oleshky is located close to the eastern bank of the Dnipro River, which since Ukraine’s liberation of the city of Kherson in the fall of 2022 has formed the frontline between Ukrainian and Russian forces in the southern theater.
Recent weeks have seen voices from the city and its surrounding rural communities emerge anew as Ukrainian officials and humanitarian organizations seek to bring attention to the deteriorating situation on the Dnipro’s left bank, in view of the Ukrainian forces holding their positions only a few miles away along the right bank.
Tetiana Hasanenko, a Ukrainian official serving from the western side of the Dnipro as the head of the Oleshky Military Administration, told ABC News that the area’s prewar population of around 40,000 people has fallen to as low as 6,000, with only around 2,000 in Oleshky city.
Those who remain, she said, face rapidly deteriorating living conditions and a Russian occupation authority with little apparent interest in alleviating them. “We are not talking about them surviving the winter,” Hasanenko said.
Messages sent by residents in Oleshky and shared with ABC News tell of careful rationing of remaining food supplies, a chronic shortage of medication and having to move from one abandoned house to the next to escape drone attacks and marauding Russian troops.
“The blockade is complete,” said one message. “Endless drones, fires. Like a horror movie.”
