There is a video out on the guy getting run over by a plane at DIA. It doesn’t actually look like he is trying to kill himself. He is walking at a normal pace and another 10 seconds would have cleared the plane, he was hit on the far side. Might not have actually been aware of the approaching plane.

In any case, no great loss.

“e man who walked in front of a Frontier plane, which nearly ended in catastrophe for the passengers, had 20 previous arrests, including for attempted murder. 41-year-old Michael Mott’s most recent arrest was just one month before he trespassed at the airport. In 2005, Mott was arrested for attempted murder with a gun. He later pleaded down to second-degree assault and was sentenced to just 6 years in prison. He was also charged with felony assault using a weapon during his time in prison. When he got out of prison, he continued to commit crimes, including felony assault on a peace officer and domestic violence, along with other crimes, according to the New York Post.

Take homeless meth addicts, give them new teeth at taxpayer’s expense.

    They will now succeed.

But here we are in America, a candidate for mayor of a major city can say that and still get elected.

Let’s face it, we is screwed.

  39. CA-22 is rated as a tossup.

Our HHR forecast currently has this one barely flipping from GOP to DEM. New Poll by one of the better Democrat polling firms has the following results for the open primary:

Data for Progress-D CA-22 (open primary)

    Valadao (R) 44%

    Villegas (D) 25%

    Bains (D) 21%

So adding the numbers together for the general election it is Valadao (R) 44% / Democrat 46%, right in line with my forecast, but definitely out of step with AtlasIntel’s generic ballot that is +15 D. Just one more point of data to throw on the pile that we are not looking at a house bloodbath, but probably headed toward a very narrow majority either way.

Speaking of nationalizing things, I am reminded of an incident relayed by Churchill (privately, of course, to his colleagues and friends) that whilst using the men’s lavatory in the Common’s washroom, Clement Atlee walked up to use the trough. Sensing that the Labour leader was a little too close for comfort and thus in visual distance, Winston hurriedly tucked his member back into his trousers with the admonishment “No, Clement, every time you see something that big, you want to nationalize it.”
