  1. Trump is handling Iran like one of his NY real estate deals. You cant’s negotiate with those loons like that. He should know that by now. I’d argue you can’t negotiate with those fanatics period, but I digress.

His plan to provide support for tankers to exit the strait by providing cover lasted what, 18 hours and then he suspends it? What the hell? To what end?

  2. OK, Trump just threatened to start massive bombing again if Iran doesn’t accept a deal

Great! Another Trump threat. Another line in the sand. How long until Trump backtracks on this threat as well. I give it 24 hours. Rinse and repeat. I’m not going to say the regime is laughing at Trump’s latest threat because the blockade is biting hard, but come on……how many empty threats does he have to make before his threats become a joke? Hell, they already are.

2016, Jason was willing to let Hillary become President because he was Never Trump! and did not vote for him. As a reminder, PA was an important state in the outcome that year.

His criticism of Mrs. Walt, while valid, rings hollow coming from him”

    Zzzzzz…..

I already admitted I was wrong not to vote for Trrump because I thought he wasn’t fit for the job.

Walt’s wife can be wrong if she thinks she is punishing Trump by not voting for WV Republicans.

    GFY.

Not so sure its an empty threat.

The assets in the area were probably depleted of missiles and ammunition and bombs and needed to be resupplied.

The Israelis were low on interceptors.

Trump could be buying time to resupply while at the same time hoping for a deal.

    Let’s see.

  5. I hope you are right, Jason. That was what I was thinking before he suspended the plan to secure the passage of ships through the protected portion of the strait. Now I don’t know what to think.

  8. Bitter, how’s the health these days?

Jason, how’s the milk thistle working out?

    How Tina doing?

I think we know how Wes and Robbie are doing.

Walt is likely the same as he’s been for the last thousand years.

I’m relieved to see – at least in Indiana – that not doing what voters want leads to losing you seat.

Trump won Indiana by 20 points. Republicans control 70% of the Indiana House and 80% of the Indiana Senate. When GOP voters demanded fair maps, Indiana Republicans betrayed them — then laughed in Trump’s face. Tonight, they all got FIRED. LESSON to GOP: Play to win or go home

  13. Ted Turner has passed away. He was the founder of CNN. Still remember him owning the Atlanta Braves and signing pitcher Andy Messersmith. Messersmith, in turn, wore his jersey with the name “Channel” above his 17-as in channel 17 and promoted the Braves as ‘America’s Team’.

    Yikes.

Still remember college football ending on New Year’s Day (January 1st) with the bowl games. Now it’s January 19th and if this passes it will probably go into February.

    Yikes.

I wouldn’t go that far. However, both have shown tremendous courage and determination. Far more than any other in my lifetime.

Those who weren’t of age for Reagan, don’t understand the nuts it took to stand up to the Soviets (especially while much of the establishment was wetting themselves). The country is fortunate for both.

  17. Well, as I suspected, Iran has interpreted Trump’s inexplicable pause in protecting shipping as weakness. They say no deal and have resumed their threat to fire on any vessel trying to pass through the strait. None passed through in the last 24 hours.

What a surprise. Why in the world would Trump suspend protecting shipping after 18 hours. What in the world does that have to do with the negotiations. That’s a total separate issue and was entirely defensive in nature. Talk about projecting weakness. Iranian loons in charge are loving tooling Donnie around. This is embarrassing.

Oh, and now Trump has claimed again the bombing will start if there is no deal. LOOK out Iran! This time Trump REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY MEANS IT!

California Rep Kevin Kiley says they have learned the $100 million dollar pacific palisades Fire Aid concert money was laundered to nonprofits “What we have learned is absolutely beyond belief — Tens of thousands of people donated raising a hundred million dollars for what they was were told was direct relief for the victims. But now we’ve learned that this money didn’t go to the victims at all. Instead, it went to nonprofits” Here are some examples – CA Native Vote Project: $100,000 for voter participation for Native Americans – Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE): $250,000 for programs prioritizing undocumented immigrants – Altadena Talks Foundation: $100,000 went to supported podcasts, including Toni Raines podcast – NAACP Pasadena: $100,000 political advocacy – Los Angeles Black Worker Center $550,000 to political advocacy organizations – Center for Applied Ecological Remediation: $500,000 for fungus/microbe/plant soil remediation projects Over $500,000 went to bonuses for nonprofit leaders and consultants
