I hate this woman’s politics as much as the rest of you, but is there any evidence of this? From what I’ve seen, she has stated that her accounts are managed by an advisor with full discretion. She makes no investment decisions, approves no trades beforehand, and has no involvement whatsoever in the accounts. The portfolio has done incredibly well, and the securities are well known companies, but I have also seen others hitting such returns in the past 40 years with these amazing bull market runs without any insider trading . Now it’s possible that she is secretly feeding the advisor with inside information, but there is no proof that I have seen where this has been substantiated or even alleged. There doesn’t seem to be any basis for a case here. Is there anything out there that I am missing?

Maybe . However that would be a slam dunk case for the SEC and DOJ. Her statements are common defenses against such prosecutions and the fact that they haven’t filed any charges, tells me there’s more to it than her word. I know a number of senior officials at both agencies and they would be chomping at the bit to make such an easy case . In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t already obtained the trading authorizations and other docs from her adviser as well as spoken to a few individuals at the firm, but that’s just speculation, of course 😉

I don’t know why we don’t just take out all the loading docks on Kharg Island. I DO think the blockade was a master stroke since it avoided a messy casualty event of taking the island with the marines. Maybe Trump is avoiding taking out the docks because he feels the blockade will accomplish the same thing and is holding it in reserve.

Watched the 1975 WWII film, The Hiding Place. If you have never seen it, you should. The story of a family in Holland who all but one gave their lives in a Nazi concentration camp because they were part of the underground network who ended up saving around 800 Jews from Hitler’s gas chambers.
Bunu, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and many others no doubt consider the story a tragedy because the Dutch family threw their lives away, and the six Jews hidden in a secret room when their protectors were arrested all escaped and were not found despite the Nazis searching the house.

The VA state Supreme Court heard arguments today from both sides of the redistricting case. An activist from the”No” side thought the judges asked serious questions showing they had done their homework on gerrymandering. She seemed encouraged by their comments in hoping the results of the election would not stand.

Jason believes the “deep state “ Democrat cabal is preventing an independent agency like the SEC (who have an equal distribution of Republican and Democrat commissioner appointees) as well as the DOJ economic /financial fraud crime unit from prosecuting this “slam dunk” case. Nah, both of those agencies, including the independent agency like the SEC have plenty of Hungry prosecutors that would kill to bring a case like this against a high ranking official of any party. It’s what they do and if you knew them you’d understand, but you don’t. The reality is Pelosi probably has an advisor making the decisions, is legally walled off from the trading, and unless there is proof that she is feeding the advisor information (which there is no public allegations of that), there is no case to be made in the real world, only in the world of a conspiracy and deep state believing tool like Jason, LOl!

Judges routinely try to appear like they are being fair only to vote their ideology anyway.
Personally I can’t think of any possible argument that would justify a 10-1 D majority delegation in a state that routinely votes at least 45% R.
Many states voted to ban gay marriage only to have courts overturn it, so even the “will of the people” argument is weak here, especially with a 51-49 vote.
