Trump (and many others of us) would like the FED to lower the interest rate to spur the economy and save money for fed govt by reducing interest on debt.
Dems shut down govt, so stock mkt tumbles…which gives the fed another reason to lower interest rates. Which gives Trump what he wants.

In an unrelated mail in ballot case, Cow did discover that at least one person in CA is saying that their father (who has been dead in 8 years) just got a mail-in ballot sent to him (his household) by CA so he could vote on Proposition 50 in CA concerning whether voters will give Ds in CA the power to do congressional redistricting.
Apparently, Dems everywhere are in favor of everyone being mailed a mail-in ballot whether they are alive or dead, whether they want one mailed to them or not, whether they give a flying fig about the issue, whether they are interested in voting/govt or not, or whether they have an IQ higher than a carrot or not. Just get the ballots out there!
(I am sure ALL the ballots that get mailed to the nursing homes for seniors in various stages of non-reality and dementia will ALL get returned.)
Also, some report that the CA mail-in ballot envelopes have designations as to whether the recipient is a D or R and also has small circular holes in the return envelope

Was on a mission to stop by some banks in town to see if I could scrounge up some $2 bills to put some in a card and send to the three grandkids from time to time. One is working at a ski resort in MT, one is in college in Madison WI and one is a high school sophomore. No special reason–just for them to have some W.A.M. (walking around money) and to know that I am thinking of them. I like to send them each batches of 10 or 15 $2 bills out of the blue.
Go to first bank (my bank), and scarff up all they had–which was 6.
Go to another bank. They had 11 so I took all they had.
Go to another branch of my bank. They had none. Said two other people have already been in here asking for $2 bills…
Go to another bank. They said, “We don’t have any, there have already been other people here searching for $2 bills. And anyway, since you do not have an account here, we would not let you have them. We would only let our own customers exchange other money for them.”
Come home and call another bank that is in the down the road about 6 miles in the other direction. they say, “Yes we have $2 bills, but you can only get them in packs of 100. Said they had several packs of 100. So I drive down there to exchange a bunch of $20s for a pack of $2 bills. THEY ARE NOT IN PACKS OF 100. THEY HAD TO RUN THE STACK OF $2 BILLS THROUGH A BILL COUNTING MACHINE until they got to 100 and did not even put a fancy wrapper around them. They were all consecutively numbered.
Now I have a stash for $2 that I can pull from for a while.
Now I have to find a place to hide them here at the house where 1) they will be safe and not likely to be found by burglars, and 2) somewhere I will remember where I put them.

The Mariners now have beaten Skubal two times during the regular season and the Tigers now have lost two times he started against Seattle in the post season.

Not sure how anyone would see it as surprising that a candidate who had a narrow lead and then dropped to six points down after he was caught having wished the GOP state house leader would get two bullets in his head to spare the lives of Pol Pot and Hitler, and that his children would die and he would urinate on graves. This after reckless driving community service was spent on his own PAC, defying the court’s instructions.

IF Spanberger’s internal polls start to get too close like this Trafalgar poll, she might eventually have a come to Jesus moment and announce that Jones should step down. Of course the obvious question then would be why did it take so long to get there. Had she done that on DAY ONE of the revelation, she would easily cruise to victory. Maybe she thinks she will anyway. But if she suddenly dumps Jones you know its due to internal polling. Its a pity politicians can’t just do the right thing instead of doing everything by polling data.

My wife woke up sick on Friday with a 102 degree fever, chills, weakness and cough. She had a tough weekend spent mostly in bed or on the couch.
I had to clean the house, do laundry, make her meals, and buy groceries for her. I felt like Walt and was not easy. I realized that it was easier for her when I was immobile after breaking my leg because I am generally useless but she does so much.
