-Chicon, I have to come clean. I pay for ESPN+ (Disney – ughh!), and I work late, so I watch a lot of late games, so…….
Last year (when they were like 2-10), because their games are on late, I adopted another team (known as my West Coast Affiliate aka WCA, to my childhood friends) with the same colors as the Islanders. They just happened to have a couple of pretty good players, and then the team gelled, and they went all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals, almost coming back from a 0-3 games deficit, but ended up losing. Heartbreaking. Still, Play La Bamba!

But because RFK Jr, a big government liberal wants them, the “conservatives” are falling all over themselves to convince each other how great they are.
I support the farmers in Europe. The EU is nuts. If RFK pushes that, a Republican Congress should have an easy time defeating such lunacy. AND, if he pushes that, Trump can fire him and replace him.
Again, Mark Levin will be a pretty loud megaphone against such actions……let’s see if you support him and push Republican legislators to follow his lead, IF it comes to that.
-I would say Levin, along with X, Musk, and other conservative outlets finally able to break through the mainstream media, YES, that is some real firepower, with actual listeners, consumers, and VOTERS.
I think Mark Levin is a blowhard moron with legendary ignorance of the Constitution. I have no intention of supporting him on anything. The only time I agreed with him was when he didn’t vote for Trump either.
Levin, a strong supporter of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, said that Trump’s allies had made the billionaire Republican front-runner toxic.
“As a result of what the Trump supporters have attempted here, particularly Roger Stone, I am not voting for Donald Trump. Period,” Levin said.
Stone in recent days has threatened to make public the hotel rooms of convention delegates who switch their votes away from Trump, and is organizing protests in Cleveland in support of Trump and against any attempt to “cheat” him out of the nomination.
“So I want to congratulate Roger Stone,” Levin said. “And if anybody has a problem with that Donald Trump, you can talk to Roger Stone. These bully dirty tricks Nixonian tactics, they’re only going to backfire. So count me as never Trump.
“Some point you’ve got to stand up to it … I do not like bullies and I never have,” Levin said before adding that if the campaign and its associates anger him again he will try his best to get supporters to abandon him.

This is big… Manchin and Sinema give a last FU to NYC’s hero Schumer…
“Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer filed cloture Monday on the nominations of McFerran, a Democrat, to remain for another five-year term on the National Labor Relations Board. McFerran is the current chair of the NLRB whose term is set to expire later this month. Her confirmation to another term would have maintained a Democratic majority on the board, in a move that would have marked a key victory for Democrats heading into a second Trump administration and a Republican trifecta in Washington.
In a 50 to 49 vote, Senate Republicans, joined by independent Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin, blocked the nomination from advancing. Without the confirmation, the board is expected to swing to come under Republican control, with a vacancy for President-elect Donald Trump and the incoming GOP-controlled Senate to fill in the new year.”
Levin changed his mind about not voting for Trump. However, it doesn’t look like he changed his opinion of Trump.
“I’m gonna vote for Donald Trump. I’m gonna wind up voting for Donald Trump on Election Day,” the talk radio host said after reiterating his perspective that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was a far better choice for conservatives.
“I take no responsibility for the dumb things he says or the dumb things his surrogates say,” he added of the GOP nominee and his campaign.
“Levin changed his mind about not voting for Trump. However, it doesn’t look like he changed his opinion of Trump.”

I disagree.
I find his comments on the Constitution completely different from Scalia.

I got some MAJOR breaking WV legislator (LEGISLATOR) news I am about to share on here. Hopefully I will have more details tomorrow.
************************************************
The teaser is that one of the NEWLY elected R delegates from my county is now in police custody–after making credible death threats toward other local R delegates… The other delegates had been contacted by the State Police to move their families to locations other than their homes…
There is a lot, LOT MORE to this story. (which starts in CHARLESTON where current legislators and newly elected legislators were both present for 1. monthly 3-day interim (for current legislators) meetings, and 2. newly elected legislators to caucus and vote to select the Senate President and House Speaker for the 2025 session (which will begin in Feb.).
Teaser…
At an event Wed. evening of a group that I am a member of–as are a number of other local county elected officials and about 1/2 of all the legislators from this area–I pulled into the parking area and noticed a police car. Unusual! I also noticed when I entered the venue there was a deputy sheriff present in the building by the door and eyeing everyone as they came in. WE had about 20-25 people there at our meeting/social gathering.
Later, I saw two uniformed state troopers also present. We have NEVER had any police presence at our meetings (other than the sheriff of neighboring Jefferson county who is a dues paying member of our group and was also present there wed. evening as a member, not as sheriff.
I will give you the FULL SCOOP tomorrow. But tomorrow is also my day to play bridge, so I might not be able to post it all on here until after 3 or 3:30.

What accusation?
I asked a simple question.
I agree with you, Trump is not a conservative, you have said so yourself many times here.
I just want Chicon’s answer.
Do you speak for him?

“What did YOU use when you said he wasn’t a conservative?”
-I always gave a qualifier, which you said was not allowed for Chicon.
You are the one asking a question. Define the word.
2nd graders wouldn’t give an answer without knowing the definition of the word.
Jeez, kindergartners wouldn’t.
Ok, I see the problem……..

Hmmm… how about all of it.
I think his “interpretations” of what the Constitution means are nutty and idiotic.

-Yes, which is why I find it **odd** that you don’t provide a link to where you are getting these quotes, almost as if you want other posters to believe these are current statements.
**odd** = I do not find it odd, I find it par for the course when jason is involved.

Nah, you said many times Trump is not a conservative, I take you at your word.
You also said that Trump “governed as a conservative”, which I partially agree with.
Chicon is free to say Trump governed as a conservative, or that some of Trump’s policies are conservative, which is more accurate.
But I am asking a yes or no question, is Trump a conservative.
You already answered no, an honest answer, I want to see his answer.

-Example?
Every time he speaks about the Constitution, he usually cites arguments made by people, either by the Founding Fathers, or by particular judges themselves, most often Scalia, Thomas and Alito.
Which “interpretations” are nutty and idiotic?

I disagree.
I find his comments on the Constitution completely different from Scalia.
He wants the Constitution to support his political views, but that is not how it works.
Of course, I haven’t listened to him in many years, I only remember at the time thinking what a freaking moron.

Not sure how you could say Levin’s “interpretations” are nutty.
You really allow small differences in style to take on a much larger life in that brain of yours.

Hmmm.. .I have always said they would fail too.
For years I told Phil here that Trump would never go to jail.
But I am glad you think that makes me a great Constitutionalist.
Of course, if Trump had lost the election, the trials would only “fail” on appeal, I am sure he would be convicted in NY and GA, maybe not in FL.

He made arguments, that were then later adopted by Judge Cannon, for one, with help from Ed Meese, and there is audio proving it.
