My SPECULATION on the reports about the Harris campaign. Obama’s folks moved into the campaign to replace the Biden team that was jettisoned. But Harris has her own coterie of close confidantes and advisers, most of whom were kept outside the bubble by the Biden team for the past 3 1/2 years. That’s the way it works for a VP — she took people Biden approved for her staff. Now her confidants and advisors are back inside the bubble — people from her Senate staff and from her Senate and POTUS campaigns. They ran losing campaigns but they are arrogant. Many have her ear thru her sister, who has always been her closest advisor. THey think she is brilliant and probably don’t like the “lockdown” approach because it assumes she’ll crater herself if she campaigns like other candidates. The Obama folks who know how to win campaigns KNOW she will crater herself if allowed to act like she did in the 2020 primary. That’s why the rumor in the immediate aftermath of Joe being booted, and Obama not endorsing her for a few days, was that Obama did not think she could win. So the “lockdown” strategy was settled on with Obama’s folks calling the shots. Everyone played nice thru the DNC. Now there are elbows out and they are jockeying for power.

Just to provide you a summary of why not to believe the national polls showing Harris +4 to Harris +7, here is a comparison of the final margins shown for Hillary in 2016 and Biden in 2020 against the average gap Harris is pulling right now in these same states:
ST | 2016 | 2020 | 2024
CA | 30.1 | 29.2 | 23.0
NY | 22.5 | 23.1 | 13.3
OR | 11.0 | 20.8 | 5.0
WA | 15.7 | 19.2 | 9.5
VA | 05.3 | 10.0 | 1.2
NM | 08.2 | 10.8 | 8.0
States won by Trump:
OH | 08.1 | 08.3 | 9.7
MO | 18.6 | 15.4 | 18.0
FL | 01.2 | 03.4 | 6.5
TX | 09.0 | 05.6 | 05.4
The current Texas polling is just a very faulty ActiVote poll, PPP-D, and the University of Houston.
Other states simply have no polling yet, Trump vs. Harris. But given what we see, there is no reason to believe Harris would outpace Hillary and Biden in Illinois.
Given the large percentage of the nation’s population that comes from the above 10 states, there is no way she can be up 4-7 points nationally unless she is getting numbers like +25 in Colorado, +75 in HI, +95 in VT, +60 in MA, +40 in CT and in red states, -10 in TN, -12 in OK, -5 in KS, and so on. This is especially so given the battleground states were close in 2016 and 2020, and are polling close again in 2024.
States do have a minimal degree of elasticity, but there is a breaking point. Harris is not up by middle single-digits nationally, while at the same time performing so far behind Hillary and Biden in the states shown above. I will keep adding to this list if we can ever get more polling on these other states.

I have reached an agreement with the Radical Left Democrats for a Debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. It will be Broadcast Live on ABC FAKE NEWS, by far the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business, on Tuesday, September 10th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Rules will be the same as the last CNN Debate, which seemed to work out well for everyone except, perhaps, Crooked Joe Biden. The Debate will be “stand up,” and Candidates cannot bring notes, or “cheat sheets.” We have also been given assurance by ABC that this will be a “fair and equitable” Debate, and that neither side will be given the questions in advance (No Donna Brazile!). Harris would not agree to the FoxNews Debate on September 4th, but that date will be held open in case she changes her mind or, Flip Flops, as she has done on every single one of her long held and cherished policy beliefs. A possible third Debate, which would go to NBC FAKE NEWS, has not been agreed to by the Radical Left. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Trump adding the commentary on truthsocial about the debate is who Trump is. He wouldn’t be a guy on the verge of a possible second term if he didn’t constantly spout the so-called “bluster”. Interesting relationship between the astronauts being stranded in space to Kamala Harris and her election.
https://thehill.com/opinion/technology/4826170-astronauts-starliner-space-station/
”As a deputy administrator at NASA, I experienced the process first-hand. The White House — specifically the National Space Council and its chair, Vice President Kamala Harris, will heavily influence the decision. Understandably, no one around the vice president wants her to be blamed if things go wrong, especially now. As she has been glaringly absent in her role as chair, she would be held responsible if a mishap occurred involving the astronauts or the capsule.
As a result, and perhaps shockingly to some, the astronauts will likely remain in space until after the November election, just to avoid a bad day for the Harris campaign.”

Joe Walsh claims there is a “Shy Harris” vote. I doubt any “shy” factor on either side.
“I do not think the pollsters and experts are measuring this…There are more Republicans than the experts realize who are ready to vote for Kamala Harris. Yesterday, in New Hampshire, I spoke with many Republicans who told me privately, “I’m voting for Harris, but I can’t say it publicly because of my ties to local GOP organizations.” This silent shift is growing.”

“The number of Americans who say the country will become “more safe” if Trump is elected (41%) is 9 points higher than the number who say the same about Harris (32%) — though four in 10 say the country will become less safe under either candidate. Biden’s dismal job approval rating — 39% approve, 55% disapprove — is still hurting rather than helping his vice president. A full 39% of Americans say the “cost of living” is the most important issue when thinking about next year’s election — the next closest is “democracy” at 17% — and a plurality think Trump (45%) would do a better job handling affordability than Harris (40%). A similar plurality — 43% to 37% — believe Trump would do better than Harris on crime. While Harris has an 18-point advantage over Trump on abortion — an issue that featured prominently at the DNC — just 6% of Americans say it’s their most important issue.”

-Have to admit, I never get used to grown men complaining about candidates who SAID something about how they would conduct their foreign policy, especially when you compare it to what Democrats say they will do, and then see what they do.
Of course, I would be leery about what Vance says, but to make a decision based upon what they might do while we are living in this world where Biden/Harris, and Obama/Biden before Trump, keep throwing kerosene on top of every fire imaginable, WTF?!?! There isn’t much a so-called “isolationist” could do to make it worse. And I say that because Trump is said to be an “isolationist” despite 4 years of a robust American presence in overseas theatres.

I said I was wrong about Trump not being fit for the Presidency. I never said I regretted my vote because you make decisions based on the information at hand. Trump proved me wrong.
So maybe I am wrong about Vance? It’s possible. Maybe Trump will die in office and Vance will understand we are not an island and we do have to protect our interests overseas and a stable Europe and Asia is essential to our economy and our strategic military alliances are key to that stability. Or maybe those willing to give him a pass are wrong and he rally does believe in Ron Paul’s agenda.
At the moment, I think his isolationist views are a danger to the country if he became President. THAT is the information I have at hand.
