  11. Oh wow, a DEM polling firm does a poll for @BernieSanders, of ‘the battleground states’ that they say did NOT include NC, but are the AZ, GA, MI, NV, PA and WI. And they did this poll right at the peak of Kamala’s “I am not demented” surge. And it was a push poll designed to show that Americans are ready for economic socialism.

My first reaction was oh boy, here we go, they will show Harris up 50 to 44 and thereby give ‘support’ to NY Times and some of these pathetic online surveys that have come out recently. Instead:

Axelrod also skeptical of the Siena poll?

As for NYT polls in PA, MI and WI today, some of the internal numbers seem improbable–42% for Harris among non-college whites, for one eg. If you adjust for them, you’re probably looking at basically tied races (maybe a tick better for Harris in WI), which is where most, private, high-quality polling has them. Still, this is a big shift.”

  49. Speaking of 2028…looking far, but not so far, into the future, there is a tectonic shift in the electoral college coming once again (not to mention the House).

Dem states lose 14 electoral votes in 2030…California loses 4, New York 3, Illinois 2 and then a bunch of states (MN, MI, PA, RI, OR). All are going to Red states, or toss up states.

Texas gets 4, Florida 3 (which in this cycle would mean Trump wouldnt need Nevada and NE-2), as well as GA, SC, NC, TN each picking up one, plus Arizona, Nevada and Idaho picking up one.

Therefore, in 2032, the Republican candidate need only win GA and NV to win the election. No rust belt states, no AZ…etc

Congress will get redder as well, as you can imagine Texas and Florida will ensure most of those seats go red…same with SC, TN, NC and Idaho.

    Wish it were this cycle

Never too old for a scam….the funny thing is, school cafeterias don’t serve chicken wings to children because of the bones.

“HARVEY, Ill. (Gray News) – A former employee of a school district in Illinois has pleaded guilty to stealing $1.5 million worth of chicken wings from the district’s food service.

According to a report from WGN, Vera Liddell was arrested in January 2023 and pleaded guilty Friday.

She was sentenced to nine years in prison.

Liddell, 68, was the food service director for Harvey School District 152 near Chicago for more than a decade, WGN reported.

The crimes took place during the COVID pandemic when students were not allowed to be physically present at school. During this time, the district continued to provide meals for students that their parents could pick up.

Court records show that Liddell ordered more than 11,000 cases of chicken wings from the school district’s food provider and picked up the order in a district cargo van.

The food was never brought to the school or given to students, records show.

District funds were used to pay for the chicken wings, according to prosecutors”.

    Yeah, much more even here.

But Trump was vastly outspent in ads in 2016 and 2020 too and was competitive. I think he has more funds this time around.

Maybe I am biased, but I think most of the Harris ads are awful. Do people who have 2 jobs really believe they will only have to work one under Kamala. Or that she “will bring prices down”? Or that she will “secure the border”?

On the other hand, if ads didn’t work, would candidates still run them?

I think he’ll get at least 40% of the Hispanic vote. The Siena polls from MI, WI, and PA showed it as 41-41 with “other nonwhites”, who are mostly Hispanics.

The difference in those Siena polls was that they had Trump winning the white vote by only 2 points.

Here are my 2 cents on why I am less pessimistic than Bitter and why I think the election might settle back to what it was pre-Kamala.

What has changed since Trump was leading comfortably?

The Dems changed candidates. That’s it.

All the underlying factor in this election haven’t changed. The issues haven’t changed.

So for you to believe that the candidate change also changed the fundamentals of the election they you have to believe Kamala is a better candidate than Biden (PRE-DEBATE).

Remember, Trump was leading Biden while the MSM was still saying he was perfectly ok.

Is Kamala a better candidate than Biden?

    I have serious doubts.

I don’t think that was the reason.

The reason was people are unhappy with the economic situation and his policies.

    That hasn’t changed.

Kamala is actually a worse candidate. She doesn’t have the blue collar (fake) appeal Biden had. She is much weaker on substance than he was.

Maybe the MSM can sustain the “style over substance” until the election.

But if the election is to be decided on the same fundamentals as existed before the debate then Kamala will lose just like Biden would have.
