There are about 100 things we could cut before cutting back on defense and our strategic interests around the world.
The investment we make in Ukraine containing the Russians and in our alliances around the world are much cheaper than the alternative, as the trillions we spent on the Cold War showed.
That kind of spending brings dividends because it allows for the economic stability that is essential to our economy.
Anybody who thinks we can have a solid economy if there is not economic and political stability in Europe, the Middle East and Asia is an imbecile.

There are now 65 million gun owners in the US. If they all voted for Trump he would win in a landslide.
“Good news on the Second Amendment front: More Americans than ever before have become gun owners to protect themselves and their loved ones, according to a new survey published on Thursday.
The survey’s findings are a positive sign, showing that the pro-gun side of the debate might be winning. Still, it is important to realize that the anti-gunners are far from giving up.
Researchers at the University of Michigan conducted the study, which found that almost 79 percent of American gun owners cited personal protection as their primary reason for owning a firearm. This represents a significant increase compared to prior decades and highlights a significant shift in the motivations for gun ownership.
The study also found that gun owners in states with “stand your ground” laws were more likely to carry firearms outside of their homes. About 50.1 percent of gun owners in these states said they have guns in their possessions while they are out of the house, compared to about 34.9 percent in states without stand your ground laws.
Gender and race also played critical roles in the motivation for purchasing firearms. Black and Asian women, in particular, were more likely to own guns for protection than other groups. Interestingly enough, political affiliation played almost no part in this trend, which suggests that recognizing the need for personal protection transcends partisan lines.
The study estimates that about 65 million Americans own firearms for protection, which reflects a societal shift in favor of gun ownership”

Fraudulent elections seem to be the current global rage. Brazil followed a similar strategy illegally electing Lulu. Now Venezuela is duplicating these ingredients by reelecting Maduro over the obvious objections of the people.
Dems are more enthusiastic to vote by +2. Rethugs had a +18 advantage just three months ago. Thank you Vance. Thank you Heritage foundation for project 2025.
So, are we doomed from quemala or not. Yesterday, pole after pole suggested she was still trailing. But I read here, Vance (or trump?) were on the defensive.
Last weekend’s St Cloud rally had an overflow of people, wanting to get inside a venue having a capacity over 7000, that could have filled it twice. Basically, there was an enormous positive response for the Trump/Vance ticket. Afterwards Vance and his family walked the community, stopping in a cafe where a warm exchange was captured between the owner/patrons and Vance’s family. IMO Vance is making points with people despite the press’s malicious attempts to discredit him.
Most of the hoopla, extolling Harris, cerebrochuck is spinning is just that – a journalistic psyops trying to blunt Trump voters hopes of winning the election. Also, the 2025 Heritage paper has been around since October 2023. It posits ways to implement the constitution rather than destroy it by the means Dems are attempting to deploy. Only now, in the Dems desperation to muddy the policy waters being voiced by Trump, are they exploiting and distorting the intentions of the 2025 Project.
One common behind-the-scenes stories about DJT is how warm and considerate he is around staff, employees, ordinary people – very different from how the press depicts his personality and character. I find such a trait important in evaluating a person, especially for higher positions of power. In contrast, Kamala Harris much like Hillary Clinton, has been known for being a nightmarish type boss to work for or even protect, as was the case of the SS assigned to Hillary. Kamala, has been documented to have retained only 4 of her original staff of 70+ – all the rest being fired or quitting. Understanding what kind of boss Kamala is can be fathomed by what a young intern experienced while working for her when she was AG in CA. How imperialistic would she act if she became POTUS!
“Senator Harris vocally throws around “F-bombs” and other profanity constantly in her berating of staff and others. The staff is in complete fear of her and she uses her profanity throughout the day.
As Attorney General, Senator Harris instructed her entire staff to stand every morning as she entered the office and say, “Good Morning General.”
Never once during the month-long internship did Harris introduce herself to our son (as he was only in an office with 20 paid employees) and staff was too intimidated by her to introduce him. The only acknowledgment was a form letter of “thanks” signed by Harris given to him on his last day of service.
Gregory was also given instructions to never address Harris nor look her in the eye as that privilege was only allowed to senior staff members.
I don’t know about you but this is not the workplace of someone who respects her staff. For a woman of color to have employees stand when she enters the room smacks of a bygone era that we, as Americans, deplore and find demeaning. Furthermore, that she didn’t show the quality of leadership skills or even being a decent boss — much less the “class” to approach Gregory at least once during the month to say “Hi, I’m Kamala Harris and I want to thank you for volunteering in my office” — is really troubling. Finally, what is up with the “don’t look her in the eye” instruction? I know I wouldn’t want to work in that hostile environment!”

Why would they take out RFK now? NOW he is helping Dems because the whole premise with RFK was he provided a landing space for those who want to vote but hate both Trump and Biden. Biden dropped out. So the Dems just got back the half of RFK support that otherwise was D. What is left is mostly RFK support that might vote GOP.
Looks like Biden is taking that immunity ruling to heart…
President Biden was just asked on the tarmac about Speaker Johnson calling his Supreme Court reform “dead on arrival.” “That’s what he is,” Biden said. Asked for clarification, a reporter shouted, “That he is?” Biden responded: “He is. Dead on arrival.”
Of course “conservatives” like NYC pretended to oppose tariffs and used to oppose huge spending bills.
But once Trump signed on to them, they became the best ideas since the invention of the wheel.
Trump tariffs were different from other tariffs, and Trump “only signed” spending bills. That is the logic of the populists morons.
The R party of today has pretty much abandoned all the conservative principles that attracted me to it and caused me to work tirelessly to elect Rs for several decades.
Today, I vote R as the lesser of 2 evils. It no longer represents me.
It now represents the flat earthers like Michigan Guy.
For years I worked on every R campaign wherever I lived. I attended meetings, went door to door, made phone calls, spent time I should probably have spent with my family. Spent and donated money I probably should have invested in my future. I believed the R party would offer my kids an America representing what attracted me to it. Free enterprise. Personal responsibility. A merit based society. Free trade among all nations. Defense of our interests. Limited government.
The “new” R party, represented by Michigan Guy, says instead that I am a “warmonger”.
so now Biden is calling for massive reform to the Supreme Court because there are too many Republican nominated justices. Comrade Harris agrees with these changes including nominating a new Supreme Court justice every two years much like the Senste cycle.
additionally calling for overturning some decisions
ummmmmm isn’t the Supreme Court supposed to operate independent of congress. You know…check and balance.
Comrade Harris would quickly turn the US into Marxist California and if you thought the prosecutions of Trump were a lot, wait to see what happens if she and her cabal are elected
Interesting: “Pelosi’s top security aides got warning about Capitol breach night before Jan. 6 riot, memos show; Newly unearthed memos may explain why Nancy Pelosi privately expressed she felt responsible for Jan. 6 security failures.”
bitter, they would force retirement after 18 years and start with Thomas being forced to resign, followed by another Republican appointee so go trade Harris could have a minimum of two picks, both forced Republican retirements

I would go if outdoors, but it is inside limited to 7300.
The line to get in will be horrendous even if I could get tickets.

However, the same tracking poll had Biden +1 the entire first half of June, prior to the dementia display at the debate.

Nah. You are lying Marxist turd.
The problem for “ex-Republicans” like me is that the party has strayed from conservative principles to embrace populist ones.
The fact you are pro-Kamala, who represents the extreme left of the Dem party, show you are no “ex-Republican.
Now get lost, troll. Gig is up.

Vance is a self made man. He owes Trump nothing.
From humble beginnings and a difficult childhood. A Marine. Yale law school. Best selling author. Venture capitalist. US Senator.
Unfortunately he is an isolationist, and as such should not be President.
All this can be true.

Tina is correct to point out Kamala is still behind.
There has been a huge effort by the MSM to flip the script and make Kamala the new favorite overnight.
There has been some movement in the polls but Trump is still ahead, so the “movement” failed.
It will be tried two more times at least.
Whomever the VP pick is, it will be the third coming of Christ.
And the convention speech will be the best convention not only in History, in the Universe.

So be it, nothing is forever.

I am too tired to do the math. Under Harris, with no retirements or deaths, SCOTUS would have 13 Justices.

Unless Kamala wants to risk losing Michigan, she is going to have to go with Kelly.
They will have to put a lot more lipstick on the pig to make Kelly the 3rd coming of Christ, but they will try.
Kelly won with 51% of the vote in 2022, he is hardly an icon in AZ.
