”I think the immunity decision is going to recognize a degree of immunity but not complete.”
Most people think the immunity decision will be nuanced, with a narrowed application. Barrett’s more professorial approach, though, in processing her decisions, is troubling and seems to directly conflict with Clarence Thomas’s interpretation of the Constitution.

Do you think she is really concerned with Clarence Thomas’s interpretation of the Constitution?
Geezus.
Her job is to interpret the Constitution, not Clarence Thomas’ view.

If I was Trump, at the next debate I would have a 20 foot or whatever long sheet of paper that had the name of everyone in the U.S. who have been murdered, raped, assaulted, killed via automobile, etc. by an illegal alien in last 3 and 1/2 years. and I would hold that up during the debate and say these are the U.S. citizens who died, were maimed, raped, etc. because of your actions Joe Biden to open the border wide open and allow all the perpetrators to come here and dwell among us. Joe, these deaths, rapes, assaults etc. are on you.
I would also hold up a long sheet of paper at least 30 feet long that had all the names of the 300,000 people in the U.S. who died in the last 3 years from fentanyl poisoning since Biden was sworn in. And tell Biden he bears some responsibility for their deaths due to his policies.
I would also have and hold up a long list names of the 30,000 citizens of Mexico including elected officials who have been beheaded, otherwise murdered, tortured, etc. by Mexican drug cartels in the last 3 and 1/2 years and tell Biden he is partly responsible for these deaths and the destabilizing of Mexico due to his policies leading to the enrichment of drug cartels as they make more money from human trafficking illegal aliens into the U.S. than they make from trafficking drugs into the U.S.

And, if I were Trump, I would add that I would suppose that at some point Biden will be taken to court and will have to defend himself in these deaths–if a president has no immunity.

It was a very narrow interpretation of a statute. Essentially, the individual took part in the protest that was intended to stop certification of the election. Trying to stop certifying the election was obstructing the process.”
Yep.
But there are all sorts of problems with that. Was there an invitation put out stating that was the purpose? Did people sign up to specifically deny certification on some petition? Who determines that was the purpose, or was the purpose just to protest a fraudulent election? Barring any evidence that proves the rally was specifically designed to stop certification and that the rioters were there specifically for that purpose, I don’t see how you apply this statute.

“President Joe Biden intends to continue on as the Democratic Party’s presumptive presidential nominee despite a highly criticized performance in his debate with former President Donald Trump.
Although Democrats and mainstream media people have suggested the 81-year-old Biden could be replaced atop the party’s ticket after Thursday night’s debate effort, CNN reported the president has no intention of stepping aside.
“NEW, as just reported on @CNN: Not only does @POTUS not plan to drop out, Biden remains committed to a second debate in September, an adviser tells me,”

Clarence Thomas is the elder jurist on the court. Many conservatives actually refer to the current Supreme Court as the “Clarence Thomas Court.” For a junior jurist to actively oppose his opinions, in a way that openly seeps out to the public, is uncommon. It is also becoming more frequent Barrett joins the 3 liberal women when rulings are delivered. Such a phenomenon, of a once considered conservative jurist evolving into a liberal one, is more common than visa versa.

Glenn Youngkin gave a rousing speech @ the rally. He must have positively invoked Trump’s name 50 times – more than any speaker I’ve ever heard do. This was such a 180 from when he was running for the governorship, and Trump held rallies for him which he never attended. In fact the deliberate distancing he did between himself and DJT was like an overt shunning of the man. Now, he is his BFF, seemingly auditioning for the coveted VP position.

”But in the recesses of Barrett’s jurisprudence, she has sometimes set herself apart from the conservative wing and become slightly unpredictable. Liberal justices, likely hoping she might inch left over time, have pitched their arguments toward her, just as they sometimes do with two conservatives who’ve straddled the middle: Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.”

As mentioned before the Murthy vs Missouri Decision has cast Barrett an unpredictable conservative, and hence questioning how she may rule in the future.
”The Biden industrial censorship complex had a major victory this week handed to them by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, a Trump appointee who has betrayed both the First Amendment and the supporters of the President who nominated her in upholding the Biden administration’s ongoing suppression of free speech. Justice Barrett wrote the Murthy v. Missouri decision, which allowed the Biden Administration to continue censoring conservative publications online through coercive demands to social media companies.
The vast system used by the federal government to coerce social media companies to comply is without precedent in history. Justice Alito, in dissent, called Murthy one of “the most important free speech cases to reach this Court in years.”

It probably was politically correct at the time. I still found it kind of incongruent to be overly supportive at the rally – something noticed by rally commentators as well. IMO, the gushy way he spoke about Trump seemed inauthentic, considering his history of aloofness.

Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November. joebiden.com
