About what you would expect from Minnesota.

With Virginia definitely in play, Trump would miss a huge opportunity by not picking Glenn Youngkin as his VP — Phil

7 percent undecided in this poll, given the two main party candidates are about as well known as any two POTUS contestants in my lifetime, and its June, with under 5 months to go. Sounds to me like 7 percent who just don’t really want to say which one they prefer.

I agree Phil, but I would hate to lose Youngkin.

….and Youngkin would help marginally in the suburbs of Philly, Michigan…..and yes, even Minneapolis, Minnesota. I can assure you that Democrats do not want Youngkin on the ticket. — Phil

And for what its worth, Trump 42, Biden 48 was the final Mason-Dixon poll of Minnesota in 2020 (taken September 21-23). The actual gap was Biden +7.12. So Mason-Dixon was pretty close to spot on.

And there was this nugget from the Mason-Dixon poll just taken: “In Minnesota, twice the proportion of those preferring Trump for president are very enthusiastic about their candidate than is the case among Biden voters”
I know that enthused or not, each vote counts as one vote. But I would rather have enthusiasm than not.

Then why did this host have to say it? Trump doesn’t have to win the black vote or win the male black vote. He just needs to move the needle a little.

Thats BS. There are more black males who like Trump than people think. They like his assertiveness and that he tells it like it is. BTW, youre right. If they weren’t afraid it was happening, they wouldnt comment

Getting close to making the call to move NC from battleground states to the other states grid, and pulling CO and maybe NM into the battleground states grid. CO is interesting, because there is ONLY polling of Biden vs. Trump, and its sitting at an average of Biden +6.9. However, it looks like the CO ballot is going to be:
Trump (R)
Biden (D)
Stein (G)
Oliver (L)
West (I)
Kennedy is not on the ballot yet, but figures to be there. This ballot gives a landing spot for every kook and misfit in the state, who might (again, MIGHT) have otherwise voted for Biden. Clearly Biden is the favorite in CO, but I would put Biden’s lead there in the mid to lower single digits with all these misfits on the ballot.

real clear politics electoral “map” as of this morning. Not sure how they get NC as a toss up state, but look at all the other toss ups…and in a nod to DW…they put NM as “lean Biden”

Not sure what states in what alternative universe they are ranking. But calling FLORIDA a Leans Trump is idiotic. So is North Carolina as a Tossup. Trump won both of these states four years ago when the wind was against him and Biden was cast as a grandfatherly figure who would heal the country.
LikeLike
exactly. No one expects Florida to be competitive, and NC would be a “lean Trump” state since it will probably be about +4% election day..maybe 5%.
Interesting that they now include VA as a swing state. That is BAAAADDDD news for the Biden lovers.

I get it that rankings have boundaries, but seeing VA and NC right next to each other on the map, both as tossups do not communicate an accurate picture of the election. VA is a legit tossup with a slight edge to Biden, and NC is at least Leans Trump, if not Likely.

But this illustrates why our methodology here at HHR is better. Rather than arbitrary ranking labels, we just show the averaging numbers. Then we sort the battleground states in the order of these numbers. Simple. No confusion over rankings.

have you all noticed that homeland security just does more evil stuff? Bush made that department and they don’t do anything worthwhile (much like all of Bush’s presidency)

It will be interesting to see how the election in France goes. I don;’t think it was smart of Macron to call it. I think he did it because people might be in shock at the Le Pen gains, and thinking by calling a snap election it will thwart her. But, I think the French, like the Belgians, Italians, and now even the Germans are sick and tired of the immigration that has helped make parts of their countries unlivable.
It, sadly, is only the US and UK that doesn’t see this. God, can you imagine what the UK will look like after a few years of Labor running the show. Unrecognizable as they do what the dems have done, bring in as many illegal immigrants who wil vote for them somehow.
