Great game last night. I am torn on the South Carolina – Iowa game. SC is coached by North Philadelphia’s Dawn Staley. Iowa has the amazing Caitlin Clark. I will go player over coach and hope Iowa wins.

being a big UConn fan I wanted UConn to win to get Paige her ring, but I am happy Clark made it to the championship game. As a UConn fan I abhor Staley so will be rooting for Clark to win…I mean Iowa to win.

I saw the “controversial call” at the end of game. Looked like an illegal screen to me. But the talking heads were all in an uproar. In any case even without the call I doubt UConn would have scored, the play was still on the sideline going the wrong direction with less than 4 seconds to go. It was going to be a low percentage shot.

Vic – Fetterman has to know that he won because he ran in a Post-Dobbs environment and he had a huge number of mail in ballots before his disasterous debate with Oz. The recent court ruling on mail-ins will take some of those away in his next campaign. Supporting Israel is a safe play as there is not a huge Muslim population like in Michigan. He is playing a moderate but will be a reliable Dem vote when it matters.

He is saying he is not woke or a progressive. That will earn him moderate votes in PA that could offset the far leftist vote that might desert him. Or maybe he has decided he doesn’t really want more than one term, a distinct possibility given his health issues, and doesn’t care what the Dem base thinks.
As Bitter points out, he will continue to vote for all the radical Biden appointees and radical legislation. I doubt he will oppose ending the filibuster or federalizing elections if Dems win the Senate, but he might balk at a more radical open borders policy.
Still, I don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. His support for Israel is important, as well as his criticism of the immigration policies.

Today she came out in favor of transgender athletes playing women’s basketball, so she doesn’t really care about women.

I didn’t watch the game because the Valero Open is on and some guy named Denny McCarthy (who?) birdied 7 of 8 holes on the back nine and closed a 6 shot deficit. Now on the last hole tied for the lead.
Looks like South Carolina was just too good 38-0.

So the guy who made birdies in 8 out 9 holes on the back nine and 7 in a row and had the lowest number of putts in a PGA event in history to make the playoff then on the first playoff hole fires an easy 70 yard chip shot to the green into the water, an almost impossible feat. I could make that shot probably 9 out of 10 times.

Jason I play that course quite often, lots of local tournaments there. I can’t tell you a. Hiw unvelieveble a 28 is on the back nine if that course, much less anywhere
