Actually the full RFK Jr quote is even worse for Biden.
RFK Jr says Biden poses a bigger threat than Trump: “Biden is the first president in history that has used federal agencies to censor political speech to censor his opponent. No president has even done that. The greatest threat is not somebody who questions election returns.

Hey Bitter evidently the eclipse will only be 88% in Philly but 91% here. For a modest fee say $100 a head I can set up some lawn chairs here for you and family and friends to watch, will even throw in some refreshments like cider and pickled lamb tongues. Lupita petting is extra of course.
The viewing might be better over at Walt’s but I know you would feel bad watching the eclipse while Walt does chores.

But it would be more strategic if Kennedy were to attack Trump. That would give queasy Biden voters a home.

jason, yes its a tough call to forecast Kennedy’s influence. From what I can see in the polling so far, some states it helps Trump, others its a wash. But you can bet that Dem operatives are working 24/7 to see what they can do to leverage Kennedy to their advantage.

Only Trump or Biden will win. I don’t think the election will be swayed by RFK, Jr. In close states, voters want Trump or Biden and won’t waste their votes to elect the one they don’t want.

Bitter, I agree that in general, Kennedy won’t impact the election, given the close margins between polling with and without him included. Anyone who votes Kennedy, there is no way to know who they would have voted for or if they would have voted at all.
We do know from 2016 that Stein absolutely affected the outcome in Wisconsin. Trump won the state by 22,748 votes. Stein grabbed 31,072 votes.
I would predict that he continues to pull 8 to 12 percent in most states, but as the election draws closer, that number should drop, particularly in battleground states where it matters most.

I don’t really agree with that because it leaves out people who are not committed to Trump or Biden but would vote for one of them if not for RFK.
THESE are the votes that could decide a close election.
Don’t get me wrong, I agree RFK will get fewer votes than he polls, but the Kennedy name is BIG among Democrats. Some will vote for him as well as some Indies that might have been leaning to Biden. Some TDS morons will vote for him too. In a state decided by a few thousand votes, these votes could make a difference if they are not a wash.

Putin knows this too, so Tina should probably get the short rib pasta to go and head for the airport.

Maybe, maybe not.
I kind of doubt 2/3 of Stein voters would have gone to the polls, let alone voted for Hillary.
These are not people who don’t really care if Trump or Hillary won, even if ideologically they were closer to Hillary. A lot of these people view the Dems as corrupt and part of the “establishment” and wouldn’t vote for Hillary.
I am skeptical enough of the 31k Stein votes would have voted for Hillary to offset Trump’s 22k vote lead.
Finally, Gary Johnson got 3 times more votes than Stein. You could make the argument that had he not run, Trump would have won by a much bigger margin, although some of the same arguments apply to him as to Stein. Not all Libertarians would have preferred Trump.
