I think the powers that be intentionally bombed out the global liquidity cycle on Bush in 2008 bringing in the chosen one Obama (referring the salomon brothers global liquidity index that mirrors the goldman Sachs financial conditions index. both are about the same thing)
Hence they were likely going to do the same thing to Trump in 2020 but then covid happened and everything was accelerated moving directly into an upward cycle again.
Things look very bullish this year for the Biden reelection from what I can see.
If you thought Paul Ryan, the man who used to drive around in the Weiner mobile along with his ultra left wing wife controlling him, was there to create good policy…just lots of laughs. Eric Cantor etc….
Really? Did lehman brothers even have to fail? Their CEO was right wing and out of favor with the globo crowd. They wanted it to go down and dump it all on poor W bush.
I guess if you believe in coincidences, it’s random chance that every time global liquidity dumps, a GOP president is in power.
If you thought Paul Ryan, the man who used to drive around in the Weiner mobile along with his ultra left wing wife controlling him, was there to create good policy”
Yeah, actually I do.
Paul Ryan is a smart guy. Unfortunately the party moved away from conservative ideals to populist ones.
Rubio is young and telegenic, he’s spent more time in federal office than Vice President Kamala Harris, and, at a time when Trump is bullish on his chances of winning over Latino voters, he would be the first non-white person ever to make a Republican presidential ticket.
In other words, the Miami-born son of working-class Cuban immigrants looks good on paper and on television — a powerful combination for Trum
The Trump team plans to test out top contenders on the campaign trail — auditions of a sort — at rallies and events in the coming months. They will also assess a necessary skill that Rubio has shown: the ability to raise money. He collected nearly $50 million for his 2016 presidential run
It’s not clear whether Rubio would be interested in moving in order to run for vice president, and he has raised the Constitution as a possible impediment — without fully ruling out the No. 2 slot — before.
“We’re both from the same state, so that’s probably not going to work that way,” Rubio said when he was asked about joining a Trump ticket on Fox News in January.
There’s a scenario being discussed in Florida political circles in which Rubio could resign his Senate seat in order to move to another state and join the ticket. That would give a big plum to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Trump’s vanquished rival from this year’s primary, in the form of a Senate appointment to hand out.
I wouldn’t pick Rubio because he is Hispanic, because as a Cuban Hispanic he doesn’t have that much appeal to Mexican Hispanics which far outnumber Cubans especially outside of Florida.
Considering Rubio is not an isolationist and not an immigration deadender, picking him would be a pragmatic choice for Trump and would show he really wants to win.
That is definitely a ticket I could support easily. I don’;t know how you get around the not having a woman on the ticket part, but you have the same problem with Scott anyway.
I think Rubio brings a lot more to the ticket than Scott. Jason your point is well taken, in that people of Mexican decent do not much like the Cubans, and vice versa…BUT…the allure of having a Hispanic VP, and a potential Hispanic President might be enough to sway enough voters in NV and AZ to make a difference.
I really hope that Trump understands the importance of NE-2 this cycle. Who would have ever thought the election could hinge on that one electoral vote.
Jason, I did one so far, but am going to do four total. Why not…increaase my odds LOL.
Do you think we should cap it, or let everyone pick 4. I think its more fun that way…
I agree with you on hispanic v woman, and Rubio is a seasoned candidate, Senator, State leader, so his resume for President is legit should he have to assume the role

Jason-
Global liquidity is surging especially once we get past the ides of March (reverse repo ending, bank term funding ending, tax season draw down)
All US political policies are inept and bad for the economy both democrat and republican.
The policy guru’s (National Review’s young gunz!, etc) are actually trolls that are used for political talking points not actual good policy.
Good policy would lose you elections and elect even crazier people (Bernie bros)

Sound like more Deep State BS (power that be).
But I agree good policy (means testing for Social Security and/or raising the retirement age) can lose you elections.

Almost like Obama can create a spygate 100X worse than Nixon yet the fake news oddly approves of it all.
The mid curve republicans screaming at a wall believe they’re working with an even deck of cards.

Breaking news that Rubio might be Trump’s VP pick.
Now THERE is a ticket I could support.
I don’t know how they get around the fact they are both from Florida but it would be a great ticket.
