So, at least 14% of those who vote for Trump will opt for Tester?

The other day I expressed my misgivings about a poll that was conducted entirely online. Just read this paragraph from RRH:
“Pew did a study and found that voters lie a lot in online polls. Specifically, they asked whether or not a respondend [sic] was licensed to operate a US submarine, and found that while very few older voters said yes (since the number of people who could honestly say yes is <.01%), 12% of voters under the age of 30 said they were. They also did other polls about this issue and found that it is very easy to get misleading results, like 20% of young Americans saying the Holocaust is a myth that turns into less than 3% when done by mail instead of online.”

44 is not good for Tester as an incumbent.
If Trump does win by 20 there is no way Sheehy loses.
In fact I think Sheehy will only trail Trump by about 5-7 points.
Unfortunately, Tester benefits from the “moderate” image, when in fact he is a flaming liberal that supports the Dem radical agenda 98% of the time.
I think the control of the Senate hinges on this race and OH.
Having Rosendale drop out was a big help.
I will send Sheehy a check, this is a big race.

DeSantis was my first choice. I thought to myself, lets just make this easy and for once have a POTUS race where we didn’t have to worry about our candidate saying something stupid or going off the rails, and lets get ourselves a 1980 or 1984 style blowout. And then we very likely would have 8 years of success and progress.
But the vast majority of Republicans disagreed with me and decided we should do this the hard way and go with Trump and at best get four years out of it–if he can manage to win.”
Yep, that is how I feel also. An opportunity missed just like when Rs threw away about 6 senate seats by supporting deadenders.
Rs just traded a virtual sure thing for an old baggage ridden controversial candidate who can only serve one term and will struggle to win.
But a Trump win would be huge, it would protect some of the gains in the federal courts that Trump made but Biden has watered down. It would allow him to replace an older like Thomas to ensure a conservative court for another decade at least. It would at least stem the uncontrolled flow of illegals. It would save us trillions in spending on the climate change rathole. It would probably improve recruitment to the military by ridding it of woke policies.
The stakes are huge in this election. So yeah, let’s do it the hard way and elect Trump.

Young (42), mom of two, attractive smart, well spoken – terrific contrast to cackling Kamala Harris. Not that there will be VP debates this year but if so, she would shred Harris. Texas was the state to watch last night – how effective Ken Paxton was in supporting alternative congressional and judicial candidates. Many of his choices either won or are in run-offs. Essentially Super Tuesday demonstrated that money was no longer the key factor in determining races. If that were still the case Haley would have done much better. Rather, it was the working and middle classes determined to be the silent majority no longer. These are the very people forming a substantial measure of the Trump base – unpaid volunteers of a grass roots movement vying for a voice in an establishment controlled society.
Consequently, I see whatever shifts that may have occurred in the constituency of the Republican party are for the good, putting the R party back on a path more responsive to the needs of a majority that has long been ignored and neglected. Also, Trump is but a variable in last night’s events. The people who came out, who worked and voted for change, are the real players, and I believe they will remain enthused and on board for this change to be fulfilled in the upcoming GE.

Does anyone actually feel Garvey will get more than a maximum of 42% in November? Go on record if you think he will.
Garvey owes his advancement to November to Schiff, who spent millions of dollars helping Garvey get to the runoff, because he wanted to run against a Republican and not a Democrat.

Also, cycle after cycle, be it in the primary or in November, many of you seem to forget that California takes forever to count its votes, and the longer they do, the more votes roll in Democrats.

Yes, I see that now. Garvey leads in the election race to finish Feinstein’s term and Schiff leads in the primary race for the full six year term. Both contests are headed to a runoff. Is that correct?

There are two elections in California this November, since the appointed incumbent is not running. The winner of the “special” will hold the seat starting right after the November election.
The winner of the regularly scheduled election will hold it for six years starting in January 2025.
There were different numbers of candidates running yesterday so there will be a difference in those results. The same two will be running in each in November and the result will be almost identical then.

It will also depend on where his name is located on the GE ballot, as those at the top seem to have a better advantage than those towards the bottom.

Fundamentally, you seem to prefer more people die and infrastructure to be destroyed in order to achieve your in-your-own-mind Ukrainian endgame.
