Vic – I believe that Trump meant it when he said he could solve the issues in Ukraine in 24 hours. If sending weapons to Ukraine makes Trump a great leader, that must make Biden 1000x better.
Trump has to keep the isolationists happy. He will let Ukraine fall and then announce a “deal” that allows most Ukrainian soldiers to not be executed without a predetermined outcome trial.
Trump won’t even call Putin a KGB killer. I never thought I would see a time when Democrats were harder on Russia than Republicans. Jan and Putina must be so proud.
Come on Bitter – you’re doing the same things Trumpistas do. Saying “If sending weapons to Ukraine makes Trump a great leader, that must make Biden 1000x better” is a false equivalency. I NEVER said sending missiles to Trump made him a great leader, in fact, if you go back all the way to when he entered the primary in 2015, you will not find one instance where I use the term Trump and great in the same sentence. I didn’t vote for him in the 2016 primaries and I wanted RDS this cycle.
With that said, I do not believe he will solve any issue in 24 hours, nor do I think he will make them surrender. I could absolutely be wrong though, it happens, and if so I will admit it.
We will just have to disagree. If you believe that Trump will stand up for Ukraine but won’t even tell the truth about Putin, we don’t speak the same language. When Navalny died, Trump did not condemn it. He compared himself to Navalny as a political prisoner. Win or lose, I will be relieved when I no longer have to hear Trump’s arrogant stupidity. He will get my vote but that is all.
When you read the article, it talks about how SOME coastal areas have land that is subsiding (sinking).

Come on Bitter – you’re doing the same things Trumpistas do. Saying “If sending weapons to Ukraine makes Trump a great leader, that must make Biden 1000x better” is a false equivalency.”
The reason the Biden Troll thinks a Marxist tool like Adam Schiff is God’s gift to politicians is because he is a proven liar who was censored for his years of promoting the completely debunked Russia Hoax against Trump.
In the eyes of a morally corrupt idiot like the Biden Troll, this is something that should be applauded.
No. I am citing Trump’s moronic 24 hour solution. It confirms that Trump has no understanding of the issues and has said nothing that would indicate support for Ukraine.
There’s a purity test on Ukraine – if you ask for an accounting of US funds spent in Ukraine, you are in favor of war crimes like ethnic cleansing and systemic rape.
If you don’t believe Russia will invade NATO if they conquer Ukraine, you are a Putinista.
There are other sophomoric examples of purity, from those who laugh at others for supposed purity tests.
For the record (not that purists will read it); I am for sending big money to Ukraine, for knowing how it is spent, and willing to tell Ukraine that the spigot is not endless. Sue me.
If Putin wasn’t afraid of Trump, why did he wait until Biden was President?
Trump had made clear to Putin that invading Ukraine was not acceptable.
That is why Putin would never have invaded had Trump won the election.
“His mistake was going in. He would’ve never gone in if I was president. We used to talk about it, too,” Trump told KAITLAN COLLINS.
ALEXANDER VINDMAN, a National Security Council specialist on Ukraine in the Trump administration who testified against the former president, told NatSec Daily that conversations about Russia’s aggression were “on the agenda consistently” during bilateral meetings. “It was in every set of talking points I drafted for him, all the background documents I prepped.”
Vindman wouldn’t disclose if Trump and Putin spoke about a renewed Ukrainian invasion, saying that was privileged information. But he did assert that warning Russia against escalating the war “was a regular topic.” Trump canceled a meeting with Putin at the G20 in 2018 over Russia shooting at and capturing Ukrainian sailors in the Kerch Strait.
A former Trump administration official, granted anonymity to detail direct presidential-level discussions, said Trump in at least one call told Putin that Russia couldn’t wade deeper into Ukraine because he had approved the transfer of anti-tank missiles to Kyiv. “It was in the context of ‘you can’t do what you did with Obama,’” the official said, noting that the annexation of Crimea and the “little green men” in the Donbas happened on that administration’s watch.
Asked about the town hall comment, Trump campaign spokesperson STEVEN CHEUNG pointed to multiple instances in which the GOP frontrunner made similar remarks, including during a March interview with Fox News’ SEAN HANNITY. “Putin would have never gone into Ukraine. I used to talk to him about it — I said ‘better not do it.’ And he wouldn’t have — we had a very friendly conversation about it: I said, ‘Hey, Vladimir, you can’t go into Ukraine,’” Trump told Hannity.”
Nothing about this suggests Trump would abandon Ukraine.
Your meme about how Trump is going to abandon Ukraine is not based on any factual information. In fact all evidence and past history of Trump’s dealings with Ukraine is to the contrary.
It is a load of crap and you deserve to be called on the falsehood.
For the record (not that purists will read it); I am for sending big money to Ukraine, for knowing how it is spent, and willing to tell Ukraine that the spigot is not endless. Sue me.”
Zzzzzz….
We already know who it is spent. That is why the Russians were stopped and have yet failed to conquer Ukraine.
The “how it is spent” is intellectual dishonesty that really means “I am against sending aid to Ukraine”.
I prefer people just say what they mean.
And if you say the aid is finite the Russians can just wait it out. That is REALLY stupid.
All that “research” but Jason produced no statements from Trump since the invasion began 2 years ago that he supports continued military aid to Ukraine. I guess Bad Ass Trump is afraid of losing Jan and Putina’s votes.
It’s sad that Jason is relying upon anonymous reports and Trump’s self-serving BS.”
LOL
That is rich coming from someone making up a bunch of crap Trump never said or implied.
“Putin invaded when he was ready and it has nothing to do with fear of Trump”
Nah, he was :”ready” for years. The proof is in the pudding. He invaded when Obama and Biden were Presidents, he crapped his pants when Trump was President.
All that “research” but Jason produced no statements from Trump since the invasion began 2 years ago that he supports continued military aid to Ukraine”
So Jason could not find any statement where Trump said he supports continued military aid to Ukraine.
Jason agreed with me that the idea of a negotiated settlement advanced by Jan and Putina was really code for Ukraine’s surrender. How is Trump’s 24 hour “solution” not the same thing?
Trump Jr. has said that Ukraine has already lost the war and the U.S. should not spend one more penny to prop up Ukraine. He said his father would immediately end all aid as President.
Is Trump Jr. speaking out of turn? If so, shouldn’t the campaign be reigning him in for misstating what he says are the intentions of his father?
Don’t get me wrong. I support giving Ukraine all the aid it needs, unencumbered by any “we need to know how its spent” (code for no aid) and “it has limits” (code for telling Putin to just wait it out”)
I think Rs in Congress opposed to aid are naive isolationist idiots that have no idea what a new Cold War will cost, and that a new Cold War is pretty much inevitable if Russia’s ambitions of a new USSR or “Greater Russia” are not nipped in the bud.
I think Trump’s statement on ending the war in 24 hours is idiotic. I think his opposition to the aid package is self defeating, wrong and naive. I think his idea of sending aid to Ukraine as a “loan” is
But I have not seen anything that suggests Trump intends to completely abandon Ukraine to Russian enslavement if he is President.
I think this is completely unwarranted speculation on Bitter’s part.
So Jason admits that Trump’s 24 hour solution was idiotic. Jason admits Trump’s opposition to aid is self-defeating, wrong and naive. Both of these suggest that Trump intends to abandon Ukraine.
Neither one of us have ever said or even inferred that, Bitter. However, you seem to be fixated on having targets to throw your claims of people supporting Putin if they don’t support indefinite aid to Ukraine. These are facetious accusations, but I guess they spur more conversations and discord around Ukraine on this blog.
Trump has not spelled out a 5-point plan on how he will handle Ukraine. And, it’s unfair of anyone here to speculate how generous or stringent he would be in giving aid to them. All he has said is that he would solve the war between the two countries “quickly.” Hopefully, whatever aid he would give them would be audited and distributed directly to the needs of the people and not grifted off by Ukrainian officials that interviews have said was happening.
In honor of Bitter’s overly attentive use of my one time reference to Braveheart, I named a beautiful white Koi fish in our pond “Braveheart.” He has all the markings and butterfly fin movements to be a wonderful pond warrior!
The FBI said it conducted 2,336,390 checks through its National Instant Criminal Background Check System. The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the industry trade group, said that included an estimated 1,343,478 specifically for gun sales.
