  3. Not out of line considering Trump won by less than 1% according to their numbers in 2000. Of course in all likelihood he won by a much greater margin. They had NC all lined up to be stolen like PA,MI,GA,WI,NV and AZ but decided to throw Trumpy a bone when they determined they didn’t need it.

  4. Just for context, ECU found the race in NC exactly 4 years ago to be Trump 46, Biden 48. Then in their final poll, they had it Trump 48, Biden 50.

I am not saying reweight this poll, but just that it is what it is. Read the write-up as they openly cheer for NC to remain a purple state: “North Carolina remains a purple state…On the presidential side, Donald Trump appears to have a slight edge on Joe Biden in North Carolina, but the race for the state’s 16 electoral votes is far from settled.”

Yeah, the state voted for TRUMP in 2016 and in 2020, and now after Biden has destroyed the economy, our military, is engaged in lawfare everywhere, and has be an absolute disaster on foreign policy, suddenly NC is going to jump on board with Biden. Good luck with that one.

  7. It is such a lie to say NC is ripe for fraud or that the Dems could steal it. The GOP controls with the legislature with supermajorities in both chambers and has a 5-2 majority on our state Supreme Court. Not only were our voting regs tougher than most before getting control of the Supreme Court in NC, but we have voter id and a ton of other regs that stop the crap you have in so many other states. At some point, people need to stop spewing conspiracy theories and focus on getting their voters to the polls during early voting.

However, that poll from ECU is flawed for sure. Trump will win NC by 5, at least.

  8. The problem Tina, is that NC is not like GA where all they needed is ONE plumbing problem in one building to steal the state. It would be a heavier lift to get simultaneous plumbing problems in buildings in Fayetteville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, and Greensboro.

If NC shifts to the right in a manner consistent with other states, they would have to overcome a gap of at least 5 percentage points. That would be a HUGE theft. I mean even Fox News says the gap is 5 right now. That is huge.

Daniel Hannan, one of my favourite Tories since his days as an intellectual thought leader against the EU, writes passionately (and I believe, accurately) why Russia as currently constitued, should be dissolved. How to accomplish that is a whole other question, to be sure, but the Russian state, whether as a monarchy, Soviet behemoth, or whatever it is now, has always been a menace to its neighbors (not to mention to any of its citizen desiring freedom). IMO, the Allies in 1918 made a huge mistake by abbrogating Brest-Litovsk as that allowed the Reds to make a push bac into Russia’s former colonies in Ukraine and Poland over the next few years. They didn’t have to leave those lands in German hands, but unlike the Italians and French who needed foreign assistance to merely exhaust their foes into suing for peace, at least the Central Powers legitimately crushed Russia and left it too weak to really recover by stripping it of so much valuable land and population.

I cannot think of a South Carolina poll without remembering a 2004 election night exchange between the late Tim Russert and Tom Brokaw, as the NBC data analysis clowns told Tim and Tom that South Carolina was too close to call. Upon hearing that news, Russert said, “Well Tom if South Carolina is too close to call, then its going to be a long night for the president.” Brokaw nodded agreement.

And of course Bush won the state that night 58/41.

But it was the media trying to influence those still standing in line waiting to vote.

  33. DW – they do that every single election. They call blue states that end up being less than 5% wins right at the hour voting stops, yet hold SC, Indiana, MO, Iowa, Ohio, KY, Texas, etc etc for at least an hour, all of which are won by 10% (or close to it) and more.

Yet, we are to believe there is no bias, and no attempt to influence late vote in AZ and Nevada

  34. I have met with/prepared hundreds of “independent” witnesses for deposition and trial testimony knowing that anything we discuss can be asked about by any attorney, Arbitrator, or Judge in the case. I have never been found in contempt of court, subject to disciplinary sanctions, or had that witness’ testimony stricken in more than 30 years. Are you so committed to never being wrong that you will dig in on something you know nothing about? The only exception would be if a Judge ordered a witness to not speak with anybody prior to testimony. However, no decent lawyer would risk putting that witness on the stand. The first rule of questioning a witness at trial is do not ask a question unless you already know the answer or how to deal with an answer that hurts your case.

  37. Vic, its why I think it critical that Trump make a major play for Virginia. Polls close there on the east coast at 7:00 pm, and if the early count shows an overwhelming lead for Trump, they won’t be able to call it for Biden, and in fact, the normal pattern is for the precincts around DC to wait until the end, so they know what they need. But if its a huge early lead for Trump, then it will discourage the Dem voters across the rest of the nation. And if Trump could get the red checkmark for VA by 9:00, then whose who count votes in NV, AZ, or other places–who is going to risk a felony on a lost cause?

I’m not a litigator, much less a criminal lawyer, so I’m basing this on taking Crim Law and Crim Pro over 25 years ago, but it seems to me that “could be discredited” is something far different from “stricken from the record and the jury being instructed to ignore it.”

But, then again, it’s Tina’s word against Bitter’s, and who’s to say that Bitter’s three years of las school and 30 years of litigation practice makes him a more credible expert on trial-court matters than Tina’s myriad years of reading the Gateway Pundit and conspiracy websites?
