Chamber of Commerce has come out to immediately support this immigration bill, what is now being nicknamed “The Invasion Authorization Act,” because it wants cheap slave labor. The chamber joins the UN, NGOs, and also the Mexican cartels who make money from having a sustained open border. If this bill somehow passes it will cement illegal crossings, giving them green cards, and sooner rather than later amnesty. We have a miserable group of politicians sitting in congress today who appear to be on board with vanquishing our sovereignty for good.

JeffP – the immigration bill needs 60 members for passage, meaning the Dems have to find 9 ignorant republicans to aid and abet its ability to go to the House. Currently, there are 2 Dems saying they are going to vote No on the bill. But, I would not count on them to stay firm on their No vote. The House is also saying they might not even bring this bill up for a vote.

It might be a good idea for Trump to pick Governor Youngkin, and then go all-in to win Virginia. The polls close in Virginia at 7:00 pm, and it would only take 45 minutes to get a good idea as to whether or not the state will be competitive.
If by 8:00 they still cannot call Virginia, and Trump/Youngkin leads, and the path for Biden (or whoever) to catch up looks like a long shot, then it would impact the Dems’ appetite for ‘plumbing problems’ in GA, WI, MI, PA and AZ, where the polls were still open. Put an early RED checkmark by Virginia, and some Dem operatives in these other states might not want to risk years in prison and just let it go.

Joe Biden opened the border to unchecked illegal immigrants from all over the world on his first day in office, while the US and remainder of the world were still in COVID “lock-down” mode.
It was reported that the flow of illegals began moving in the direction of the US as soon as Biden’s win in 2020 was confirmed — before he took office.
He immediately dismantled all the regulatory measures Trump had put in place that cut illegal immigration to low and manageable levels.
The situation has remained that way for 3 years with ZERO effort made by the Democrats or Biden Admin to do anything to address the problem.
IT WAS NOT A PROBLEM TO THEM.
They only see it now as a faux-problem because it is showing up as a huge issue in Trump v. Biden head-on polling — along with the economy it will likely get Biden beat unless something changes in the public psyche.
So now there is this RIDICULOUS Senate bill.
The behind-the-scenes supporters of this bill do not want Trump to be re-elected. He represents the end of their control of the GOP.
This bill is intended to give Joe Biden cover and to maybe ease the problem as an electoral issue.
As statutory authority, it would also hand-cuff Trump on border enforcement should he regain the WH.
This is an election ploy and nothing more.
As an institution, the Senate is NeverTrump.
This bill is a reflection of that fact.

”Trump endorsed Lankford, the architect of this amnesty bill.”
JeffP, Langford is not the architect of this immigration bill. He is the Republican lackey of McConnell and Schumer, brought in to be a conservative face of the bill, with 5 years left on his term, so he doesn’t have to fear an immediate backlash that would effect any re-election bid. Trump’s endorsement has nothing to do with Langford’s misguided participation in this awful bill.

I favor comprehensive bipartisan immigration reform, but the GOP senators working in good faith to achieve this need to realize the immigration deadenders do not want ANYTHING done, they are fine with another 10 million illegals that will NEVER be deported. So they should just let the Dems win by default, which is what is happening anyway.
Let the immigration deadenders keep bleating “all we have to do is enforce current immigration laws” (which haven’t been enforced by ANY President in the last 40 years) while the borders remain open, illegals flow in by the millions, trillions more are spent their education, housing, medical care, etc., more sanctuary cities and states are added, etc.
Doing nothing is GOOD. WE ARE WINNING!

If the border bill came to a vote it would pass the House and Senate, bet on it.
Personally, while I would like to see comprehensive immigration reform and this bill has some good things in it, certainly the $60 billion for Ukraine, I do agree that it is far too lax and allows way too many illegals to enter, and for that reason I don’t support it.
However, the GOP could have negotiated a much better deal in the pastl when it had more clout but the immigration deadenders torpedoed it.
Now it is too late, the Dems are winning, the border is open, and the GOP is negotiating from a much weaker position.
Sometimes when you want everything, you got nothing.
And the GOP has got nothing on immigration except millions of illegals every year.

Things are looking a lot better for Trump in the GE. His major risk is still a conviction on one of the bogus charges, most likely now is the Bragg idiocy that seems like it is the only one not being delayed.
It is also the most “benign” conviction, even if it results in a felony conviction, the MSM will make a lot of noise but nobody cares about NDA payments to Stormy Daniels that is not a Trump hater. Still, it will cost him.
I have slowly evolved on Trump’s chances of winning. I now think that if he can avoid all these trials, AND picks Scott, Reynolds, Haley, or Youngkin, he is a slight favorite. I say this because I think he will win GA and AZ this time around, and has a legitimate shot at NV, PA, and WI. If he picks Youngkin as VP, maybe even VA. With GA and AZ and the states he won in 2020, Trump gets to 259, needs only 11 more.

Senator Paul reaction to the senate amnesty bill

Dr. Paul blasted the proposed legislation, posting on X, “new border law ‘never closes’ the border, and, of course, the entire $118 billion will be borrowed. Nothing, absolutely nothing, conservative about this deal. This predictable revelation is only a week old, and yet the Swamp’s new ‘border security’ bill gives Ukraine $60 billion more….from the squandering of your money to the fake border reforms, it’s safe to declare this bill as anti-American. I’m a NO.”
Not only is this “deal” not a solution to the crisis on our southern border, but it is not conservative at all. It is a way for the Biden administration not to fix their problem while claiming victory, for warmongering neoconservatives to proclaim a win by allocating billions of dollars to Ukraine yet again, and allowing Republican leadership to claim a victory for bipartisanship and declare they addressed a crisis.
Dr. Paul spoke up for all conservatives when he called the piece of legislation led by the warmongers and Democrats “anti-American.” If there are any Republican thinkers or officeholders in the country who understand when legislation is going awry and off-course from policy it is supposed to address, it is Rand Paul.
he America-First movement needs leaders like the Kentucky Republican to fight back against the left and the neoconservative establishment, just as Dr. Paul did in his advocacy against The Border Emergency Authority bill.
