  1. This poll in the head-to-head matchup is an improvement for Trump by 1 point compared to their last poll.

I find it hard to believe that Trump does worse when the others, including Stein are included. This poll seems to suggest that some Trump supporters would really rather vote for Stein.

  3. Not worthy of a new thread, but here is also a new poll of CA:

    Biden 53, Trump 25, Kennedy 7, West 3, Stein 1, Mapstead 0

  4. And just for context, the final Franklin and Marshall poll of PA in 2020 was Biden 50 / Trump 44.

  5. I have to agree. When Kennedy and Stein are thrown in there Biden only loses 1%, but Trump loses 5%.

I can not see Trump losing that kind of support to Kennedy. It also shows that almost all the undecides went to Kennedy, with Stein taking the 1% from Biden.

It also means that none of the Biden votes went to Kennedy, only Trump and undecides. Unlikely, still, I have to say I am suprised by the strength Trump is showing in all these polls.

My initial reaction was that there were polls being put out so that the Dems would have a way to get Biden off the ticket, but, could truly all the polls be in collusion with the Dems. I doubt that.

I’ve said it before. If people are truly pissed off enough that when they go to the grocery store, hardware store, etc and see prices have doubled in the past couple years, they are going to vote Trump. Pocketbook outweighs being an AH.

  7. In PA, I am seeing 2 new abortion ads. In one, the message is that Trump took away abortion rights. In the second, a young mom is seen with a small baby. She talks about how she was pregnant with a fetus (pretty cold, Mom) she really wanted but it carried a fatal condition that would kill it before or right after birth. She said Trump would have forced her to continue the pregnancy and risk her health and ability to have children. Presumably, the baby with her in the ad was a post abortion baby. People can say that abortion will not be a big issue in 2024 but Dems don’t spend ad money to lose.

  8. I listen to a conservative radio host who has had a guest on several shows. He is registering Republicans to vote across PA and also encouraging them to vote by mail if they have any doubt about being available on Election Day. His point is that the GOP can’t start in a 450k hole when votes are counted. Yes, Jason. He supports verifying signatures and ballots being received by Election Day and not coming in for a week.

  9. Bitter – thinking Abortion won’t be an issue in 2024 is burying your head in the sand. The Dems have seen that they have been able to mitigate losses (2022 mid terms et al) by lying about what the SC ruled on, and using their age old scare tactics (remember how they would tell seniors every election that R’s wanted to take away their social security).

Conservatives are not doing a good job of informing the electorate that abortion was not taken away, it was just sent to the states so each state could decide what best served the people in their communities.

Abortion will never go away completely, and states like California, NY, IL, etc will always have laws allowing you to abort your baby up to the moment its about to be born…because you know, its a womans right…its health care…its a decision between a woman and her doctor…etc etc

  16. Here are some Senate races that don’t necessarily warrant a separate and new thread. Hard to believe that Adam Schiff will most likely be a US Senator. Guy is pure sleezy scum.

Also, I think Ohio is in real jeopardy for the Dems. This would be a huge switch, and combined with WV would give the R’s control of the Senate with a few more winnable races out there.

  18. After watching the new PBS Frontline documentary just released on You Tube yesterday the GOP better hope his January 6th trial is delayed until 2025. Regardless of how unjust it is …or if he did anything illegal…the plethora of testimonies of his own administration during the trial will be like no other October surprise.

I know some of you will dismiss this and attack me but I don’t care. You have been warned.

  42. Vic – I approved your posts. I was coaching a girls basketball game. Only had 4 players and had to add a 7th grader to the 8th grader and 3 Seniors on my team to get to 5. At half-time, the 7th grader left with a stomach ailment and nadeau. The other team had also added a 7th grader so we took her for the second half.

One of my Seniors said she felt an asthma attack coming on so I only had her play limited defense and stay on offense. We lost 40-32 but they fought to the end.

  48. LOL, I had a problem last season with assistant coaches. They didn’t like that on game day I was “head coach” and being that this is Texas, and I am a Yankee, I am considered “Loud!!!” I get my point across to my kids, and I guarantee that they are exactly where they are supposed to be, when they are supposed to be there. At Grade 3…defense is everything. They got mad because I played a zone defense all year, and not man to man. I know my kids abilities, and we go against a couple of ex – Spurs kids, we would have gotten killed.

One referee last year complemented me on how well discplined the kids were (polite too…after me telling them there is only one ref, and you have five fouls to give LOL) and he’d never seen kids this age keep on their assignments like mine.

So, I was/am very New York boisterous and scream the whole game LOL. They aren’t used to that here, so I get some looks.

Proof is in the pudding. My teams over the past three years, on all levels are 32-2. The one game I didn’t coach last year, and the “assistant Dads” got to lead the team, they played their man defense. Final score. 27-1. Enough said!!

BTW the most fun I have in life is coaching these kids, and especially coaching my sons. I love that on campus all the kids come up to give me hugs and call me Coach C

Looks like the sc also accepted Ed Meeses brief that Stoners appointment is not constitutional.

Brian Cates – Political Columnist & Pundit
    @drawandstrike
They’re also trying to keep this on the down low, but the SCOTUS accepted former AG Ed Meese’s brief on how Smith was unconstitutionally appointed by Garland.

Meese made an excellent case that only someone whos already holding a federal office [appointed by Chief Executive & passed a confirmation vote in the Senate] could be handed the kind of extremely powerful federal LEO/investigatory powers of a Special Counsel.

Both Smith and the other Special Counsel appointed by Garland, Robert Hur, were both private citizens and not federal officers.

So on top of not being able to take Trump to trial this year in DC, Smith’s also having to wait and see if the SCOTUS agrees with Meese that is appointment [and his entire investigation] has an illegal foundation.
