Here are some facts for the weekend
=One cannot claim to be pro-Israel and also be anti-Ukraine. The battles they face have many similarities. Of course, this also applies to those on the left who think they can be pro-Ukraine and anti-Israel.
Israel needs American support, as it has always had, but they are also in a far more advantageous military situation than Ukraine has been in against Putin.
-One cannot claim to be anti-Hamas and be pro-Russia, or somehow morally ambivalent about what Russia has done to Ukrainians. Both Hamas and Putin have used kidnapping of children. raping of women, and attacking civilians as their tactics.
=The United States must continue to support both Israel and Ukraine. If the U.S. retreats from the world in the face of political pressure, it is an open invitation to all the bad actors in the world, including China do even more dastardly acts and all of that will put our security at great risk.

That “questionable benefit” obviously refers to the lack of oversight associated with the aid, substantiated by a real audit tracking what is being given as aid. The continuing corruption in that country has been well documented for years – both way before and after the war. Why should you assume it’s no different in how our aid is being used?
The treasury just came out today saying we have a $1.7 trillion dollar deficit looming over us. Some are saying those numbers have been played with and are even higher. What has to happen to those obsessively willing to give anything to Ukraine, indefinitely, for them to see how lopsided our help has been, even in how we are allocating meager sums of monies to Israel and importantly to our own disaster of a southern border!??? Bitter and Jason, why don’t you guys mortgage your homes and give the money over to Ukraine to stop the “murder,” as you both don’t seem to mind collecting more debt.

There’s little to no proof of any significant oversight, except the Pentagon mouthing they are watching the funding. In the meantime Zelenskyy has fired officials for their corruption. Also, why should our monies go to pay for their pension funds, first responders and business people, when we are having UAW, screenwriters, actor, hospital workers, pending pharmacy strikes all over wages and benefits?

People in Ukraine have lost everything because Putin attacked their country. Small business people, teachers, hospital workers, first responders, all in tremendous need in Ukraine as the country just tries to survive.

Of course the people in Ukraine did not choose to have their livelihoods threatened. They did not choose to have to care for so many wounded civilians because of Russian bombs, whereas jan’s precious celebrity actors (along with all the other labor unions) chose to go on strike.

Tom Cotton has said Biden’s asks for aid is thankfully DOA. He specified there will be no money going to pay for Ukrainian government official’s pensions, going over as Gaza aid, or processing and aiding more illegals to cross our border.
BTW, the treasury analysis of how the U.S. is financially doing: only $4.4 trillion came into the treasury (lower than expected), as the deficit grew to $1.7 trillion – would have been $2 trillion if they did not send $300 billion over on the 2024 tab. We are crazy broke as some here want more money printed to splash indiscriminately onto an overseas country. One more thing, Russia has put their super sonic missiles on high alert, able to hit our two aircraft carriers, that are already taking incoming. Then you have Hezbollah, considered one of the most sophisticated militias in the world, said to have 100,000-150,000 missiles on hand to launch……while we have sent a 7-year supply of missiles to fight a proxy war. I call that ill-prepared, stupid, almost having a death wish for our own country.
