The stupidity award is all yours Jason for being all in on a questionable war being run by an innately corrupt government at the expense of ignoring our own self defense and national security. If only you were as sympathetic and aware of our own country’s neglected needs as you are of Ukraine’s. Sometime look at the NYT’s story regarding Ukraine’s dark side of their history and government (called the dark basement of globalism by many), as well as the Human Events site. Even Reuters is talking about Ukraine’s Nazi problem. Take the blinders off and stop using Putin as your convenient crutch to slime any dissident POV from your own. I guess you also must favor Ukraine targeting U.S. citizens for assassination because of their resistance to a give-more-to-Ukraine narrative, as well as sending unwilling Ukrainians to the front lines to be slaughtered.

Russia invading Ukraine is not questionable. However, the $140 billion plus $5 billion monthly monies given over to their government is. This is a country labeled as corrupt before Russia’s invasion with intrinsic, questionable financial ties to the Biden Family. Currently, stories abound about our weaponry in the hands of other countries, and how Monte Carlo and their yachts seem to be the playground of rich Ukrainians. So, the questionable part deals with finances, and where the money is really going. You remember that famous quote,”trust but verify.” There is no verification or audits going on tracking this aid.

An Ukraine has done this despite the delay in providing it with effective air power. Imagine what will happen when Ukraine is provided F-16s, and other advanced weaponry.
Putin’s attempt to conquer Ukraine has failed. Despite the spouting of ridiculous Russian propaganda points. Putin has been shown to be a buffon. Several months ago Putin fled Moscow in terror when Prigozhin marched a rat tag army towards Moscow.

Can you quote specific facts about Ukrainian weaponry in other countries? So many of these claims seem to Putin propaganda. Many may not be aware, but in the dark corners of the web, there’s a “kill list” that’s overseen by a radical Ukrainian group and it’s quite extensive.

These folks find themselves on this list either for their direct opposition to Ukraine or their perceived lack of support for the nation. The entries range from people suspected to be associated with the Wagner private military company, to journalists accused of spreading Russian propaganda. The website has faced tremendous international condemnation, but it continues to exist, completely untouched by the Ukrainian government, who claim it’s not a “kill list,” but rather laughingly describes it as a place to log “information” for law enforcement and special services. Meanwhile, dirty deeds that can land you on the list range from something as harmless as a questionable social media post, to being a family member of a high-ranking Russian officials or sympathizers. It doesn’t take much or sometimes it takes quite a lot to find yourself on this list. What’s truly concerning, however, is that some individuals who have appeared on this list have ended up assassinated, with one notable case being that of Russian political commentator Alexander Dugin’s daughter.

Officials are just NOW going to allow homeowners/residents who escaped the fire and devastation in Lahaina Hawaii to return briefly, in small and closely monitored and escorted groups, to return to the sites of their former homes to view what remains. It is mainly for closure for the former residents there. They will be allowed to do some brief searching on their property. But they will not be allowed to do any major digging, etc. as the grounds are highly hazardous.

It is written by Laura Hollis, a syndicated columnist.
It is about journalists–any of whom today see themselves as social warriors out to right all the wrongs of society. But is so doing, they push narratives held in their own minds vs. pushing/printing reality and truth. And if in their job they find realities or truth that fly in the face of the “narrative” to which they hold fast, then they color, ignore or even hide those truths from their readers.
Eamples she cites:
BLM–the narrative is the false flag of “white supremacy and institutional racism”
Yet the truths are that more homicides are committed by Blacks than committed by whites. And most of the victims of Blacks who commit homicides are also Black. But this fact flies in the face of their ‘narrative’ so they do not report that. Nor do they report that the Black Lives Matter people makes no effort to take on the Black on Black violence.
Homelessness–the narrative is that involuntary commitments for mentally ill people is not compassionate” and that poverty can be overcome with higher taxation and income redistribution. Despite facts showing that none of this “cures” homelessness.
As to the drug addiction component to homelessness–the narrative is that drug abuse can be contained by legalizing some currently illegal drugs, decriminalize drug use, offer safe government subsidized injection zones for some illegal drugs. Despite the facts and truth showing this does not work to reduce homelessness.
Criminal/Jail/Prison reform–the narrative is that if you reduce the penalties for shoplifting, have no bail for ‘victimless crimes like shoplifting, never make it a felony for people who shoplift multiple times, then you reduce the number of people in jail and prisons and you will reduce prison and jail costs. Plus, the minorities get arrested more for shoplifting, so therefore it is a racist law that needs to be done away with since it disproportionately affects minorities.
The truth and realities show the narrative to be false, and journalists never show the societal costs of doing things that sorta make shoplifting no longer a crime–business losses, closings, higher insurance rates for everyone, etc.
Open Southern Border–the false narrative is all about it is the “compassionate thing to do” and it is “combatting racism”. The truth about increased crime, drug smuggling, sex trafficking of women and children, terrorism threat, health issues threat, cost to the taxpayers to house, feed, educate, etc. all the illegal aliens, etc. is ignored or hidden, or “colored’ by the journalists because it blows up their false narrative.

It is important to fight for election integrity, and if you “move on” from a stolen election then you are just setting yourself up for it happening again. Rs should aggressively try to cancel the shenanigans the Dems put in place during COVID in many states to game the system. Of course there are many other important issues, and I never suggested this is the only one Rs should run on.
There could be other reasons this guy lost, if he thinks “prophets” told him anything he might be a nutcase.
If every R who believes the 2020 election was stolen lost the election there would be very few Rs in Congress and Senate as I am sure most R voters and most R elected officials know that to be the case.

Climate change and the war in Ukraine, however, are where the politicians are stapling their focus and funding. It’s an absurd, flagrant dismissal of what the populous here want their representatives to address in the way of their needs and wants. Also, regarding budgeting concerns, we have $5 trillion coming in burdened with $7 trillion of expenditures. How is a $2 trillion deficit going to work in our favor? In fact if we bleed out of money, how will we be able to help anyone anymore? As my dad used to say, “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” even though this administration is acting as if it does.

It takes two to fight. The U.S. came in as an enabling 3rd party, first passively encouraging Russia to invade “a little,” and then as the primary resource of funds and weapons that have extended the war into a bloodbath for both sides. Both Zelensky and Putin appear immovable in their positions, more than willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of lives to keep the land each feels they are entitled to. As long as we keep throwing more aid the Russians will continue to be dug in, and the Ukrainians will die trying to break through all the mine fields. Furthermore, if Mike Pence has his way the U.S. will give more than aid to this war, and put our own youth on the ground as a human supplement to this war.

Oz was an excellent candidate. Sometimes excellent candidates don’t win. A renowned surgeon, a minority, great communication skills. A moderate R, nothing extreme about him. But the MSM convinced enough people that Fetterman was “blue collar” and his issues were minor. Plus, Fetterman banked 1 million votes BEFORE the debate, so the fiasco didn’t hurt him, he had about a 700k vote lead going into election day, which he lost by a significant margin but it was too late.
Btw, McCormick announced his run for the senate. He will probably lose for the same reason Oz lost. Too many idiots in PA believe Casey, a far leftist, is a moderate and pro-life.

Have been watching the congressional hearing with Merrick Garland. He lied, perjured himself and obfuscated throughout the entire time he was questioned. What a weasel of a man! I think McCormick will have a better chance of winning this time around. The 2022 R primary was hard fought, with 3 strong candidates battling it out – Oz won with 31.2% edging out McCormick at 31.1% with kathy Barnette, a spoiler of sorts, with 24.7%. If there is a less competitive primary I think McCormick, likely being self funded and having Trump’s endorsement, will be better situated to prevail over Casey.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, once expected to pose an actual challenge to former President Donald Trump in the GOP primary, has free fallen to fifth place in CNN’s latest poll from New Hampshire.

Yesterday’s UN speech by Zelensky was held in front of a sparse crowd. Zelensky’s remedy was to take footage of the larger audience, present at last year’s speech, and splice it on to this year’s speech. The only problem is that Zelensky was inadvertently pictured in his bogus footage. Oops!

I really enjoyed my conversation today with our millennial Polish tour guide for our day trip to Auschwitz. He grew up 20 miles from the Ukraine border in a village of 2,000. Came to Krakow for university and never left. On our drive there and back we talked about Ukraine, Russia, Polish elections, the grain issue, immigration, the media, Blackrock, Covid inflation, his family history and differences in our lifestyles and culture.
My wife I experienced a life changing tour with him of the concentration camps and the extent of evil the Nazis committed. The whole trip was worth this one day.

Around two-thirds of this country live paycheck to paycheck. Taxpayers are liable for a two trillion dollar deficit, plus interest payments on that debt. Homelessness is growing. We have areas in our own country suffering under an unlimited invasion on both our northern and southern borders. There are 13 high schools in Baltimore alone where zero students are proficient in math – an example of our failing school system. People are voicing concerns about our own economy, crime, inflation, immigration problems, and yet all this is swept aside by our feckless politicians to give aid to an overseas country….and people like you, who never ever voice a sigh about all of the above, claim anyone questioning more aid on Ukraine’s behalf is a sign of supporting Putin!!! If Biden had been more decisive early on in providing Ukraine advanced jets and other weaponry, there might have been a settlement by now. As in Afghanistan, Biden the timid botched thing up.

My wife and I come to Europe two or three times a year using points and miles to help the cost. Her mother was from France and Father from Norway. I look for opportunities to dialogue with the locals when I can they will open up to me if I acknowledge the US weaknesses. The US reputation is not very good. The mass immigration, transgender issue and violence in the US get the biggest response. Most I talk with don’t trust the media here either. Big push by Germany and France to have Elon Musk censor on X. The young man was not a Zelenskyy fan. When you grow up in a country devastated by war your perspective is completely different. We have no idea what it’s like.
