The denial is deep and wide for sure. 37 Federal counts and more coming from the January 6th investigationβ¦he will be found guilty on something by a jury and face JAIL time. As long as the Woke Commie Dems keep Trump as the focal point they win.
If the GOP electorate is that stupid to nominate Trump then nothing will change with no accountability in the administrative state. So the rage will have negative impact. He will get no pardon.
Making these corruption issues in the DOJ and FBI all about Trump and nominating him verses campaigning against the abuses in light of the βwe the peopleβ will lead to disastrous results all across the board for the GOP.
After listening to the RDS speech last night in NC GOP Convention he gets it. Hopefully he wins Iowa and New Hampshire which I think is a great possibility.

Espionage does not apply to a president/former potus. The pra applies. It is the newer statute and trumps the older statute, which may be unconstitutional.
The pra states that itβs up to the potus to decide which records are administrative and which records are personal. If he states personal, itβs his decision solely and not reviewable or reversible.
Any disputes are resolved civilly. There cannot be a criminal matter. The statute is clear on this.
Pra will need to be amended by Congress for any changes
Given this, the broad warrant (unconstitutional), illegal referral by archives to unjustice, the overly broad requests by justice (classified markings/classified markings are presumed to be classified), and constitutional violations, the indictments fail.

With respect to the pra, it does not differentiate between classified or classified markings. Whatever the for,mer potus (his decisiom solely) deems personal, it is his. Not reviewable.

Amy Berman Jackson, the judge presiding on that case, said a couple of very important things,β said Farrell. βThat the president had an absolute, unreviewable right to take any records or documents that he wants when he leaves office. β
βNo one can come back and second guess or double think or ask questions about what the president elects to take with him,β Farrell continued.
In her ruling, Jackson wrote that βthe President enjoys unconstrained authority to make decisions regarding the disposal of documents: β[a]lthough the President must notify the Archivist before disposing of records . . . neither the Archivist nor Congress has the authority to veto the Presidentβs disposal decision.ββ

This kind of prosecutorial persecution, though, goes way beyond the current day legal tools being used to rid the national stage of a Trump presidency. Tuckerβs show was not pro-Russian in taking sides. However, he did take into consideration the degree of corruption that streamed through the politics of that country, which is why Tucker was not head over heels for engaging in an expensive proxy war with Russia. In fact Ukraine is considered the 3rd most corrupt country in the world – even superseding Russia.
Finally there has been no real audit of where all the Ukrainian funding is going. Is it being spent on helping the Ukrainian people or going into the pockets of Ukrainian oligarchs and Zelensky. In a first hand account my sonβs friend was part of a mission taking goods over to Ukraine, to be distributed directly to the people β bypassing the government as they could not be trusted. Jan, There are clearly differences of viewpoints on Ukraine. I am with Bitterlaw and Jason and others on this one. I think Ukraine invasion is as big a deal as Germany invading Poland in 1939. If we choose to turn away and let it happen, we will only be allowing a problem to grow that we will eventually be confronting. And that growing problem is both Russia and China thinking that we are entering a new nationalist phase when larger countries can simply invade their neighbors without repurcusions.

I appreciate your viewpoint. I come from an anabaptist “Amish Adjacent” church background that believed that “All War is Sin”. I don’t go that far. But, I have some concerns about the military complex and the many US wars. For example: I thought the second Iraq war was completely unnecessary and wrong from the beginning. However, I feel that there is a need to stand up to large nations who arbitrarily invade neighboring nations. To me, that is clearer in the Ukraine than in most previous wars. The first Iraq War was also a clear international boundary invasion as well.

Walt’s friend Annie Septic came over and I overheard them talking about the political scene. Walt said he was thrilled that Hillary was not elected president in 2016 but was not thrilled that Trump was President. HIllary losing? THAT was delicious. While Walt was happy that Trump election prevented Hillary from getting POTUS, he explained his long list of reasons why he felt Trump was a bad choice to be President. But Trump won because more people hated and distrusted Hillary than the number of people who at that time hated or distrusted Trump.
Walt said as president, Trump made numerous unforced errors. Trump got the job, and then took many stupid steps (and tweets and running off at the mouth reasons to cause people to dislike him. And the voters took it out on Trump in 2018 and 2020 and in 2022 as the Dems/MSM continued to beat up Trump and highlight his missteps. Trump continued the unforced errors of bad judgement continued after Nov. 2020 and continued to do so when he was no longer in office. The Ds are licking their chops at the prospect of Trump leading the R ticket in 2024 so they can just focus on Trump and issues with Trump, not the NATIONAL issues–and BEAT TRUMP AND THE Rs AGAIN FOR A 4TH FRIGGIN’ TIME IN A ROW.
The reason the weaponized DOJ/FBI went after Trump in 2016 had nothing to do with their dislike of Trump. It was all about their wanting Hillary to win in 2016. Bugging Trump, investigating Trump, moles planted, baseless Russia collusion charges, etc., etc.
**************************
Many Rs do not get that the conservative (sane) movement is bigger than Trump. If Trump suddenly was captured and beamed up by aliens, or suddenly died from a heart attack, or from being hit by a bus, the conservative (sane) movement would continue. The Rs would pick others to lead the charge. Others who do not have all the Trump baggage (both self-inflicted and inflicted by his political enemies including the deep state).
WITH OR WITHOUT all the legal entanglements/multiple lawsuits, etc. Trump WOULD STILL LOSE TO BIDEN AGAIN IN 2024. He is UNELECTABLE today. Many Rs see that. Many do not. Those who do not think Trump is unelectable–as tarnished as he is due to his own very visible and real faults as a person and as a leader–foolishly and non-factually feel Trump is the only hope to regain the white house. Instead, these Rs fail to see that the BEST WAY to guarantee befuddle buffoon Biden to win reelection is to NOMINATE Trump for 2024.
Then the Ds don’t have to defend their positions. All they have to do is shine the light on the faults of Trump.
WHY DO YOU THINK THE DEMS/LIB NUTJOBS/MSM WORK SO HARD TO ELEVATE TRUMP AS THE FAVORITE CANDIDATE ON THE R SIDE?
If Trump suddenly disappeared, their biggest foil would be gone.
If Trump wanted to help defeat Biden in 2024, then he should step aside and drop out of the 2024 race today.
But he won’t.
Because he is stupid and thinks it is all about him.

I don’t think Trump is getting out of this one.
“Mick Mulvaney, director of the Office of Management and Budget, listens to questions during a briefing at the White House on January 20, 2018, in Washington, D.C. Mulvaney, the former chief of staff under Donald Trump, said on Monday that the former president’s chances of facing jail time after being federally indicted “are pretty high.””

“Among the numerous criminal charges approved by a federal grand jury are 31 counts of willfully retaining documents containing national defense information in violation of the Espionage Act, including “information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its Allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack.””

Californians do not support Newsom running for president. Let’s not forget Newsom past affair with a married staff member, and his periodic issues with alcohol. Californians tolerate him, but do not like him.
His recent re-election numbers were lackluster given how strongly Democratic California is now. Plus, he might be running against a former California Senator who is a black female. How horribly insensitive for Newsom to flaunt his white privilege so brazenly.
“Most California voters do not want Gov. Gavin Newsom to run for president in 2024, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.
The poll β which surveyed 1,091 self-identified registered voters in the state over the past week β found that 70% don’t want the Democratic governor to seek higher office in the upcoming presidential contest, while just 22% said they do.
The numbers are especially damning when you break them down by party affiliation. Only 35% of Democratic voters said they’d like to see Newsom run for president, while a whopping 54% said they wouldn’t. Meanwhile, the sentiment among Republican voters isn’t surprising: 90% said they wouldn’t want to see Newsom make a bid for the White House.”

It should be noted the Biden bribe was paid to get him to stop a Ukrainian prosecutor’s anti-corruption investigation of Burisma, where his son was on the board. Vice President Biden personally traveled to Ukraine and issued them an ultimatum to fire the prosecutor. Given these events, it seems a little hypocritical to point fingers at Ukraine and call them corrupt. Perhaps the focus should be on the Obama/Clinton/Biden clique and their Chicago style politics:
“A paid informant told the FBI that an executive from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma has documents proving he bribed President Biden with $5 million while he was vice president.
The βtrustedβ and βhighly credibleβ FBI informant said Burisma paid the bribe between 2015 and 2016 to solicit Mr. Bidenβs help in thwarting a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating the company, The Washington Times has confirmed. Mr. Biden was vice president at the time.
Burisma paid an additional $5 million to Hunter Biden, the presidentβs son, who served on the board at the time and received a $1 million annual salary at the energy company. The scheme was concealed using multiple bank accounts, according to the informant.”

“If Donald Trump had done what Joe Biden did here, what Mike Pence did hereβwhen they found their classified documents, they gave them back,” he said on Monday. “And there are no charges against Pence, there’s not going to be charges against Biden. The difference here is what Trump did to try and cover up what he did in the first place.”
Mulvaney said: “As is so often the case, it’s not the underlying crime, it’s the interference, it’s the cover-up, that gets folks in trouble. And they have him with significant evidence, it looks like, as to obstruction. So I think that the chances of a guilty verdict are fairly high and the chances of real jail time are pretty high.”

A President can only declassify documents while in office, and a procedure must be followed which documents it took place. Even after he was out of office, if he had been cooperative and returned the documents, things would have been fine. But in Trump’s current state of semi-derangement, he decided to openly violate the law.
“That May, the FBI and Justice Department issued a subpoena for remaining classified documents in Trumpβs possession. Investigators who went to visit the property weeks later to collect the records were given roughly three dozen documents and a sworn statement from Trumpβs lawyers attesting that the requested information had been returned.
But that assertion turned out to be false. With a search warrant, federal officials returned to Mar-a-Lago in August 2022 and seized more than 33 boxes and containers totaling 11,000 documents from a storage room and an office, including 100 classified documents.
In all, roughly 300 documents with classification markings β including some at the top-secret level β have been recovered from Trump since he left office in January 2021”

From Forbes today. George Patton would be proud:
“Ukrainian forces are advancing along three or four axes in southern Ukraineβs Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk Oblasts. On the axis running along the Mokri Yaly River, the Ukrainians arenβt just advancing. Theyβre thundering.
Rolling fast along the unpaved road threading north to south from the town of Velyka Novosilka toward Makarivka, 10 miles away, the Ukrainian navyβs 35th Marine Brigade has borrowed a tactic from the U.S. Army.
In April 2003, early in the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, a battalion from the U.S. Armyβs 3rd Infantry Divison combined 29 M-1 tanks, 14 M-2 fighting vehicles and several M-113 armored personnel carriers into an urban assault task forceβand rolled straight into Baghdad days ahead of a planned multi-brigade coalition attack on the city.
Twenty years later, the Ukrainian 35th Marine Brigade is more than a week into its own prolonged thunder run along the Mokri Yaly River. In eight or nine days of hard fighting, the 2,000-person brigade has liberated several villagesβmost recently Makarivka, on Monday.
Speed and shock are key. The 35th Marine Brigade is fairly lightly equipped for a Ukrainian brigade, with dozens of ex-British Mastiff and ex-Turkish Kirpi armored trucks and around 10 gas-turbine T-80BV tanks. Itβs how the brigade is using those vehicles thatβs key to the unitβs swift advance.
With a T-80 near the front, a column of Mastiffs rolls down the dirt road that runs parallel to the Mokri Yaly River. The tank blasts, at close range, any Russian positions its three-person crew detects on either side of the road.
If the tank has to stop to fire its 125-millimeter main gun, it does so only briefly. The tank maintains the columnβs momentum, leaving the 10-person Mastiffs with their .50-caliber machine guns to kill or scatter any startled Russians who survive the tank fire. Infantry then dismount and secure the area.”
Meanwhile some of Ukraine’s best forces are being held in reserve, ready to pour through any major breach in the Russian defensive line.

“Trumpβs former attorney general, William Barr, told Fox News he was βshocked by the degree of sensitivity at these documents and how many there were.β Indeed, it is shocking.
Those classified documents βincluded information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack,β the indictment says.
It further states that Trump showed these documents on two occasions to people without security clearance.
βThe unauthorized disclosure of these classified documents could put at risk the national security of the United States, foreign relations, the safety of the United States military, and human sources and the continued viability of sensitive intelligence collection methods,β the indictment says.
With these kinds of things lying around in Florida, I can imagine U.S. allies would be reluctant to share information or cooperate on top secret security measures in the future.
Trump is not accused of selling or showing classified material to any foreign government, but the boxes were apparently easily accessible as the club βhosted more than 150 social events, including weddings, movie premieres and fundraisers that together drew tens of thousands of guests,β the indictment says.”

I would be nice if the source and location of the tapes was verified, and a transcript was released:
“But speaking on a podcast Wednesday, Grassley admitted he doesnβt know whether or not the tapes are real.
βIβm oversight of the FBI,β the Iowa Republican said, referring to his work on the Senate Whistleblower Protection Caucus.
βI want to know [if] the FBI, are you doing your work? I want to see your work. Have you listened to these tapes? And if you havenβt, why havenβt you? In other words, do the tapes even exist?β
Grassley isnβt even the only Republican to acknowledge the tapes might not be real. Senator Ron Johnson told Fox News Thursday that βwe donβt knowβ if the tapes exist. House Oversight Chair James Comer, who has led the charge against Biden, said Wednesday he doesnβt know if the recordings are βlegit.β
And yet these tapes have been the basis for almost every accusation leveled against Biden this past week. Actually this is what we do know about Biden and Burisma, and it is not pretty. Druggie Biden got a lot of money, and then now President Biden got the Ukrainian prosecutor fired. We don’t know if President Biden got any of the money that Hunter received, but there is definitely a stench emanating from the whole episode:
“Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post. The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month. βDear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. Itβs realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,β the email reads. An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burismaβs No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for βadvice on how you could use your influenceβ on the companyβs behalf. The blockbuster correspondence β which flies in the face of Joe Bidenβs claim that heβs βnever spoken to my son about his overseas business dealingsβ β is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer. The computer was dropped off at a repair shop in Bidenβs home state of Delaware in April 2019, according to the storeβs owner.”

βThe Biden Administrationβs plan to build a railroad from the Pacific all the way across the Indian Ocean, has drawn sharp criticism from leading scientists, the day after President Bidenβs historic announcement. βThe massive pilings needed to support the railroad, at an ocean depth of about 14,000 feet, on average, would displace an enormous amount of sea water, contributing to the already dangerous condition of sea-level rise. Bidenβs plan would endanger coastal cities around the world,β said Lance Lyde, geology professor at the State University of New York.β

More:
βPresident Bidenβs original plan for the Railroad from the Pacific all the way across the Indian Ocean had called for a more southernly route, from Los Angeles south along the comparatively shallow East Pacific Rise, and then turning west just before the Tropic of Capricorn, where the shallow water continues nearly all the way to Samoa. This route would have allowed for a stop at the French Polynesian island Bora-bora. From Samoa, then Fiji, the water remains shallow all the way to New Guinea and Indonesia, leaving only the greater depths of the Indian Ocean to cross. This route could have saved 300,000,000,000 tons of concrete compared to the more direct deep Pacific Ocean route that was chosen.
But the original route was scrapped for the direct route when the Administration learned that the local Samoans needed for the labor crew in that part of the route were not unionized.β

“One Administration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, conceded that the Pacific-Indian Ocean route to Africa does beg the question, ‘Why not the Atlantic Ocean? The 1,500 miles between Brazil and the west coast of Africa, a much shorter ocean railroad crossing? The simple answer is all of Mr. Biden’s Asian ties. There is no cash to be had in either Latin America or in countries like Liberia or Sierra Leone. But in Asia, the cash flows directly to the Biden family, and there is a lot of it. In the coming days watch for the announcement of a railroad spur from Manila directly to Xiamen, China.’”

“Biden snapped at a reporter who asked about the estimated 350 quadrillion needed for the trans Pacific-Indian Ocean railroad to Africa. The president said, ‘This is a bargin! I could have announced a railroad to Mars that probably would have cost ten times as much!’”

Looks like that is is. The old HHR is now done, and the lifeboat here is pulling away from the mother ship as it rolls over on it’s side and disappears below the waves.

Has anyone checked yet to see if there was anyone who was about to testify against Biden and was on the doomed Titanic tourist submersible?

I read one article that alleged that the submersible was controlled by a joystick pulled from a playstation, and it had lights bought at Camping World. As the old saying goes, the Sea is unforgiving. The Deep Sea is much more deadly.
The radical left is eager to get us to Mars, but we cannot seem to get people back and forth safely to the wreck of the Titanic.
Maybe Biden can propose a new railroad to the sunken Titanic.
