But hey, just GTFO of Ukraine and it will get better.

“From accessing their money to ordering a taxi or takeout — millions of Russians were feeling the impact of Ukrainian strikes on the data centers of the country’s internet giant Yandex in their daily life.

“I ended up in a situation where I had absolutely no money. Well, I had the money, but it was inaccessible,” said Irina, a blogger from St. Petersburg, who had not been able to access her money for four days when she spoke with NBC News last week.

Irina, who like several other interviewees did not want her last name shared while speaking with a foreign news organization on a sensitive matter, said her rent was due the day the first outages happened, when she hoped “that it would be fixed in a few hours.” Days later, she still had no access to money to pay for utilities or even food for her small child.”

I will repost my comment from yesterday.

“I think it is fine for Trump, an avid golfer, to take interest in the DC golf course.

He wants to make it into a championship course, which of course would draw tournaments and revenue to the area.

It’s only controversial because it is Trump. If Obama had done it the MSM would have thought it the greatest idea since Walt invented sliced bread.”

  37. So lets take these 8 one at a time:

AK: Probably the hardest one to poll. And the only one I can find that repeatedly polls is Alaska Research Survey. They had a five point skew to Harris two years ago. In September they had Sullivan losing to Peltola by 4. Then early October they polled again and the gap narrowed to 1. PPP-D also has Peltola by only 1. However, Insider Advantage has Peltola by 2. But Quantus and Trafalgar have Sullivan up 1, while Rasmussen has a tie and co/efficient has Sullivan up 3. But given the multiple rounds, whoever has the senate majority on election night will later win Alaska because the other side will give up. Right now I give the edge to Sullivan…especially on the strength of late trending.

IA: Hinson has the late momentum it seems and has actually led in polling which is nice. Clear edge, but GOP cannot become complacent.

KS: This one feels like its trending our way, as demonstrated by the Insider Advantage polling. Back in Sept when it seemed the GOP was asleep and the Dem was getting polled barely ahead there was a buzz about this race being a flip. Even NY Times/Siena has the Republican ahead, which would be a rare miss if the Dem wins.

ME: The last three polls were exactly Collins 47, Jackson 49. So this one is a concern, and the GOP cannot just presume she will pull a rabbit out of the hat like she did six years ago. But Jackson really is a goofball, and in the end I suspect Collins will have just enough to pull it out.

MI: Next to Alaska, this is the hardest race to poll. The Egyptian national fell 9 points short of polling in the primary, and there is no good reason to presume he will not fall short again. Not by 9, but by enough to give the race to Rogers. Waiting for EPIC/MRA, Mitchell and Glengariff to drop their final polls. But the others polling it show a very tight race, not a good vibe for El-Sayed given the context. 8 of the last 10 polls show the race within two points either way. And the only one who polled twice in that collection is Tyson Group who went from El-Sayed +1 to Rogers +2.

MN: This one is lucy pulling the football away once again. Despite all the corruption and the fact that Flanagan and Walz belong in prison, this one likely falls a couple of points short for Tafoya.

OH: Trend has been good for Husted, and given the red tilt of the state he likely pulls it out in the end.

TX: Trending is good for Paxton. Even Marist and CBS/YouGov could only muster two point leads for the freak. Insider Advantage went from Freak+1 to Paxton +1. In the end, the Musk money, Abbott, and general red tilt to the state is just barely enough to drag Paxton across the finish line.

  38. Ok, I will settle for 6/7 right now.

  39. So which of these seats I want to win the most.

    1. Michigan. The Dem is a defactor terrorist sympathizer, a flaming Marxist and antisemite.
    2. Texas. I think Paxton is a horrible candidate, but losing here will finally do what the Dems have been wasting money on for decades, turn it blue. It would have major future implications.
    3. AK. America needs AK energy and resources.

I am relieved to see Trump is focused on the midterms. If we lose the House and Senate he will have more time to focus on worthy projects like redesigning White House stationery and renumbering Federal highways.

“I love our highways. Such great highways. You know, the Romans had great roads but not highways. The Germans had great highways. And German shepherds. Great dogs. Unless you were Jewish. So, I propose that all highways that go East to West, be named after me and members of my family. Highways that run North to South will be named from A to Z.”

With all of that in mind, we turn to comments made on Monday by New York Times national reporter Jeremy Peters, who, as a Michigan native, has been following this race closely. On the Morning Joe program of all places, he, too, pointed to the real possibility that El-Sayed’s support may be overstated and Rogers’ support underestimated based on what he’s seen and heard in Michigan:

“One of the factors that is really worth paying closer attention to are the number of Democrats, lifelong Jewish Democrats, especially in the Detroit suburbs, who are saying for the first time in their lives they’re voting Republican,” Peters said. “That’s a big deal.”

On Monday, Peters reported the polls may be overestimating El-Sayed’s odds of winning by oversampling college-educated voters. The Michigan native added he has heard people are reluctant to tell pollsters they’re going to be voting for a Republican for the first time in their lives.
